Detailed Reviews
Prime Plaza is one of those typical Indonesian hotels that is incredibly reasonably priced for the value you receive. While it isn't the quality of a "five star" hotel, the price is a fraction of the cost and the quality is well above what you pay. What really sets the hotel apart though, is it's proximity to the beach and other amenities. Just a short walk from the Sanur beachwalk area makes this hotel a "must stay."

We were here for a conference in January 2023. Check in was efficient even though we arrived late in the evening. The bellman brought our luggage to the room and made sure our key cards worked well (a nice touch). The room was clean and spacious. The next morning we enjoyed the large breakfast buffet. The day was filled with meeting in their conference rooms. Their break snacks and drinks were very nice. The long halls take some getting used to, but the hotel takes measures to keep you safe if the tiles are wet. We enjoyed the swimming pool. It has multiple depths and is good for all ages. Our catered lunch and supper were always tasty. The Prime Plaza is not far from Sanur beach if you prefer sand and salt water. There are small shops and marts all the way to the seaside. We enjoyed the staff, they were always polite and friendly. Even at checkout, Ayu gave us a wonderful send off. We'll be back.

The hotel is super convenient for access to and from Sanur Port. The hotel has quite a grand outlook, has a large number of rooms, and spacious common areas including lobby and bar. However, keep in mind that it is a very old
Construction and the rooms have a dated feel are in serious need of renovation. Only used this as an overnight layover option for an early morning transit from Sanur for which it served the purpose well. The staff are really nice, humble, and helpful people. Would recommend for a short stay, while it is also good value for the money. Below is the detailed review:
Location: This hotel is located at a 40 minute drive from Airport, 11 minute walk to the Sanur Port, while a 1 hour drive to Pedang Bay port in central Bali. The Sanur beach is also close by. There are a couple of fast food outlets right outside the hotel as well.
Rooms: Rooms are very dated & basic. The bed is very low and old. However there are power outlets for charging on both sides but again they are old school and require an adapter if you are an international traveler. The phone in the room is very old but works. There was a couch in the room and that can practically sleep one adult. The room had a fridge, electric water kettle, and some tea/coffee sachets. There was a safe which was also pretty old. Enough closet space but no doors to it.
Bathroom: The bathroom was also equally dated. The door had lock styles from 1990s. The wash basin, and toilet seat are yellowish white, and so were the towels. The bathroom had a bad stench too. The good part was that toiletries were fixed in the bathroom including bath soap near sink as well as body wash and shampoo in the shower area. The shower curtain had also turned yellow. Water pressure was good though.
Facilities: The swimming pool is more lengthy and curved, not ideal for swimming. The hotel in itself was super clean. The common use bathrooms are very modern and new but very smelly. The hotel overall is super clean. They have luggage storage facility which is extremely useful as we safely stored our luggage with the hotel for 3 days.
Staff: wonderful people, always have a smile, and are ready to help you all the time. We interacted with them at odd hours and found them to be equally helpful at all hours.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your detailed review of our hotel. We're glad to hear that you found our location convenient, especially for access to Sanur Port, and appreciated our spacious common areas and helpful staff. We acknowledge your feedback regarding the dated feel of the rooms and bathrooms. It's worth noting that the washbasins and toilets are brand new, and we're continuously working on improvements. It's great to know that our facilities, such as the swimming pool and luggage storage, were useful during your stay. We're also pleased that our staff could provide the excellent service we're known for. We hope to welcome you back for another stay. Best regards, General Manager Prime Plaza Hotel Sanur

We booked a Premier Room for two nights with Expedia for a spur of the moment Bali getaway. Prime Plaza's location was not bad but it is an old hotel that has seen better days. The front desk staff were polite but lacked the warmth hospitality we had experienced at another property we stayed at on a previous trip.
We did not expect the Premier Room to be on the ground floor as the description on the booking site indicated it had a balcony. We asked for an upper floor room but the staff who checked us in gave us the usual excuse that their rooms were fully booked for the weekend.
The room was spacious but uncarpeted. (See photos.) We were greeted by mosquitoes and two houseflies. We killed the houseflies but since the check-in guy said the hotel was full and room change was not possible, we asked them to send an insect repellent spray, which he declined to leave in the room and reassured that we could call the front desk again if the insects return. We bought lemongrass mist when we went out for dinner to deter mosquitoes from biting us.
It does seem that whenever we book a prepaid room with Expedia we usually end up with a subpar room. Thankfully the insects did not return on our second night. We do not recommend this property which does not deserve a 4☆ rating. It is more like a 3☆ hotel, 3.5☆ at best. The pool was the only saving grace, but nothing exceptional. There are newer, better hotels in similar location on Bali island for the same price range.

We have recently spent 18 day at this hotel in a Pool Access room and spent $1800.00. The hotel and I had a few problems with scooter access.I will discuss at the end so I can give a fair review.
The hotel is old Bali in design with the pool being the center piece. A little awkward but nice
From the beginning the staff was very helpful. We were in a pool access room..meaning ground floor. Rooms are very dark and are aging, bed coils could be felt..However, we did sleep well. The staff did a great job cleaning daily and we had hot water except of one day.
Breakfast was included nothing to write home about. It was what we expected. We only ever ate from room service... the go to meal was Mia Goreng or Nasi Goring..They were good..the rest of the menu not so much
The hotel is away from all the restaurant, they do offer free shuttle to the suites hotel..We had a scooter..We would not stay in that area in the future..to isolated with heavy traffic..
I fought with the hotel over scooter access and security. We were not allowed to enter the property via main entrance..We were relegated to the back. The hotels reason was if they let scooters come in the front they will park wherever they want. That shouldnt be my problem, thats a security hotel problem if they cant get a grip on rogue scooters..The hotel finally said we can use the front for the rest of our stay. I refused because this was a temporary fix to a greater problem. Finally after I complained about security they improved for 2 days then went back to not monitoring who comes in or out of the back gate...

This Hotel is BIG, large empty hallways, with hollow corridors. The hotel was mostly empty, but I could not help but think what kind of nightmare it would be if it was full. It takes a while to go from the Lobby to your room. The room itself is nothing to write home about, but its clean and somewhat spacious. There is no much furniture in the room and the decor is lacking, the bathroom is fully functional, but the water in the sink did not drain properly. There were no bad smells in the room, the bed and pillows were rock hard. Did not turn the TV on during my stay, A large bottle of water is provided daily, that was a nice touch.
My main issue with this hotel:
Sauna, Jacuzzi and gym close at 9PM!!
Breakfast is pretty much the same daily, with horrible fake juice, upon asking I was told that if I wanted real juice there would be an extra charge.
Overall this place gets a solid C.

The Prime Plaza Hotel is definitely one of my favourites. Beautiful garden around the swimming pool, tranquility, super friendly and hospitable staff, great food and cocktails. My room was spacious and clean with a good working airco (unfortunately no remote control), flatscreen (60 channels), water cooker and fridge. A bottle of water (free of charge) is provided every day. So far all the pro's. The downside is the small bathroom. Everything (toilet, shower, sink and hair dryer) works fine but in my opinion if definitely needs a makeover.

I first visited Prime Plaza in 2018 for a conference that time I was extremely impressed by their service and ambiance. While selecting hotel for our honeymoon, Prime Plaza was my default choice, I didn't even look at other hotels.
Prime Plaza was kind enough to decorate our room and provide us a complimentary cake, this gesture was pleasantly surprising to us, and my wife extremely impressed with Prime Plaza.
I should give special thanks to housekeeping for their prompt and courteous service. Housekeeping went beyond their call of duty and even organised our room mess.
We are vegetarians, and we found their breakfast options good enough for us.
Another reason to selected Prime Plaza Sanur was that I find south Bali/Ubud to be overly commercialised and North Bali too remote for sightseeing. Sanur has best of both worlds. It is not over commercialised, and it is tourist locations are easily accessible.
Prime Plaza is located 200~300meters from Sanur Port/Sanur beach so Nusa Penida is easily accessible. Dunking Donuts, KFC are exactly opposite to hotel. There are lots of Warungs (local eateries) in vicinity.
Hotel is next to a golf course and next to swimming pool there are lots of trees at night you can hear crickets and this sound has relaxing effect on you when you are dead tired by days outing. Infact lush greenery was one of my reasons to select Prime Plaza.
Prime Plaza was kind enough to provide free parking for my bike.
Overall, we are extremely happy with our stay. Our only regret is we didn't had time to enjoy amenities offered by hotel. Next time we will be checking into Prime Plaza to sit back and relax pool side!
We will always cherish out stay at Prime Plaza.

We stayed at the prime plazza hotel from the 12th feb until the 3rd of March.
We really enjoyed our stay,we found the bed was really uncomfortable we informed the staff and they found us a mattress topper which really helped.
The breakfast was very good lots of choice fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, omelettes, pochedcooked at request. The staff worked extremely hard to make sure all our needs were met.
The swimming pool was lovely and clean and had trees around it given it a really relaxing feeling.
So thank you so much for all your hard work we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this lovely hotel 😁

Wow! What an amazing hotel! Friendly helpful staff and an absolutely beautiful resort. I felt cared for and comfortable after I had a surgery on my eyes and stayed for 12 nights at the hotel . The food was excellent and very well priced and service and variety in the bars and restaurants was exceptional. The gardens and pool are stunning and the pool temperature was perfect and kept so clean. My room was large and comfortable with easy access to the foyer and pool area so easy to get around despite me having limited vision after my surgery. I found it so easy to get to the beach straight from the resort down a short street and onto the paved beach walk along the whole of Sanur with countless restaurants ad bars but the hotel also has a free shuttle bus that drops you right down to the beachfront in the main part of town multiple times a day. I also used taxi or Grab drivers very easily to get to where ever needed for less than a few dollars. I also visited the Spa and had wonderful luxury treatments at an extremely reasonable price, with lovely kind therapists. I would not hesitate to stay here again and I am planning a return visit with friends again this year. this is a true 4 star resort and I was so glad I chose to stay here!
