The Artotrl is a modern hotel in Sanur in a great location.

What we loved:
The incredible staff. Always wanting to help. They are friendly are simply brilliant.

The rooms - very clean and modern and I’m probably one of the fussiest people for a clean and modern room. It’s probably the best I’ve stayed in in my many stays in Bali.

The location is very good. Just around the corner from the Main Street running through Sanur. Literally 20 seconds walk. Lots of cafes and shops. Try places like Tropical and Red Manna.

Restaurant is very good to. The food is fresh and safe for people who have sensitive stomachs like me. Yes it is a bit dearer than cheaper cafes but delicious.

TV is brand new and HD with good channels to enjoy after a kind days walking and enjoying Bali.

As I said a wonderful lace if you want clean and modern. They have some shows too such as dance and live music but that goes off at 10pm so you get a quiet night.

After a long discussion with the hubby, we finally decided to visit Bali during the pandemic. Which turned out to be one of our best decisions ever. Due to the few passengers on our departure day, all flights were combined into the 7pm flight... so we arrived quite late at the hotel. Though all hotels in Bali are struggling during this pandemic including Artotel Sanur, we still received a warm welcome here with a smile. We had to pick our breakfast menu and time for the next morning before we were guided to our rooms. This is related to their health protocols-avoiding any crowds.

We had booked 2 rooms w/ a connecting door for a much lower price than they had before the pandemic. That weekend only 12 other rooms were occupied. Our rooms turned out to be more spacious than expected. We loved the design of the room and another plus was the dolce gusto coffee machine. My daughter joined an online competition and basically stayed in the room with her friend the whole day. There are many restos and cafes in the area, so it was easy for her to use the GoFood services.

We love the location of the hotel, not only many restos and cafes but also a guardian and a supermarket are only a few minutes away on foot. The best sunrise in town you’ll find only 5 minutes from the hotel also on foot.

Though the ABC beach club was closed during this pandemic, the rooftop infinity pool was such a luxury since no one else was to be found there.

Thank you, Artotel Sanur... we spent 3 lovely days at your hotel. Your good health protocols made us feel safe🙏🏻

Was the perfect place to land and recover when arriving in Bali. The staff were professional and efficient and always available to help. The modern, almost Japanese style rooms were super comfortable and surprisingly quiet for its central location. Breakfast and bar were lively with a great choice of traditional and western food and cocktails. The best part of course is the roof top horizon pool and bar, although a new resort has halved the treetop view a bit but not an issue. Wheelchair access ok but rooftop has little steps which I think was a needless oversight by builders. This is a quality resort at a medium price.

After a heavy but beautiful stay on the island Sudok with a very basic living we headed out to go to Bali for resting and some luxury. Because of the Corona going on we asked for some discount and the lady of the desk called the manager, we didn't get it.. Because of the long trip we decided to pay the 800000 IDR what is € 47.10 a night for 3 nights, expecting a swim in the pool to cool off and then go to the rooftop bar for a cocktail and a smoke. The room was good and after changing clothes we headed to the swimming pool and they were closing it at 19:40 hrs instead of 20:00. OK no problem, we went to the bar to sit down and smoke a Sigarette, the bar was closed and there was no service at all.. Corona rule I guess. The bar at the reception was also closed and the reception told us we only could order something in our room. Our room has a balcony without chairs and a view at a parking place and a wall without an ashtray. I understand the coronathing but why pay this money and not telling us about the closed services??? The next day we wanted to cancel the last two nights and the supervisor told us he could not do that because of the policy.. Why not in this situation?? If they told us in the beginning we were going somewhere else, everything is empty on Bali so I think they have to be glad we paid this price. Why didn't they gave us a room upgrade, there all empty! We now stressed out again and my girlfriend is sad we paid a lot of money for nothing. The supervisor called Jeje told us 5 times it's all normal because of the situation and didn't do nothing to help out. I thought the Artotel is a big organisation with good service but it's nothing like that. Except the fact we can't go to our home in Holland because of the Corona we also lost a lot of money for nothing, we take our own drinks to the pool and sit in a bar without light and ventilation. Also the lights in the front of our door is off so we have to search the lock with our phone light to open our room. Is this Artotel?!?! We will never stay with them anymore.

This hotel is a great find for the price. We reserved two rooms for two adults and two children for an extended weekend in Bali, and the total price was quite affordable. On top of traditional Asian breakfast options, the free breakfast also had great food options for our picky children (cereal, toast, eggs made to order, selection of juices). The coffee was delicious.

We are young parents and enjoy the artsy vibe of this hotel which was still pretty family friendly. The hotel was hosting a party on the pool deck one night of our stay, and the loud music stopped at 10 p.m. as promised (although it didn't both us anyway). The place is also very clean throughout.

The nearby beach looked rough at first due to construction, but there are actually quite a few shops on the boardwalk once you get out of the immediate construction zone. We did not swim in the water here because it seemed mostly for boats, but we enjoyed walking near the water and dinners on the beach.

My only suggestion for this hotel would be to guarantee the availability of joining rooms for families. Finding affordable joined rooms at smaller hotels in Sanur is difficult and it would be an attractive feature for visiting families.

I had an amazing stay in Artotel Sanur. Despite the pandemic situation that hits the hospitality industry very hardly, Artotel Sanur tries their best to give the top notch services to their guest. Last night, I was so hungry and the hotel/nearby restaurants were already closed. I remember I still had chicken nuggets and asked the receptionist whether I can use the kitchen or not. I came downstairs and the receptionist took over the preparation to cook the chicken nuggets and asked me to just sit and wait in the lobby instead. I was so touched with the simple gesture and the willingness of the staff to help me, even though it was beyond his job desc.

The pool area is so big, it’s so suitable for chilling or sun bathing. I hope everything goes well for Artotel Sanur and they can get through this pandemic so I can stay again here next time.

I booked here after seeing Instagram and Facebook photos from the company during Covid. There are a number of key points that make Artotel Sanur an attractive option.
Pros:
* The lobby and public areas are impressive, almost like being in an art gallery.
* I stayed in the smallest room size, which was more than enough for 1 person. There is a small balcony with a drying rack for swimwear or dive gear before going home.
* The back end rooms have a beautiful view of Mt Agung in the early morning before it's clouded over.
* The hotel is only 30 minutes from the airport on the bypass toll road.
* The area is convenient to the beach and eateries, yet still quiet.
* Hotel team friendly and professional, clearly well trained in international hotel management standards. An issue with my door lock sensor was repaired within 15 minutes.
* Breakfast was at a great promo price (AUD$1!). There were numerous Asian and Western options available. Seating in the restaurant wasn't a problem as they've converted the outside facing wall into a long counter bar (no stools).
* Drinking water refills available.
Cons:
* The pool deck area is lovely, but there is no shade.
* Yes, drinking water refills available, but you have to ask. Why not just put refill stations on each floor and guests can self service?
* Inconsistent eco-friendly messages. Glass bottle drinking water but small disposable toiletry bottles. I hope those empty coffee capsules are being returned to Nespresso for recycling.

Artotel was a pleasant find. I stayed with two friends in their Studio 30 twin Bed room with an extra bed. The beds were very comfortable, the room was spacious and very functional. Each of the three of us could assign luggage space and towel hanging areas in the room. The airport pick up and bell service c/o. Rudy Wayan, was a great start in our Bali vacay .. he was on time, guided us to money changer with better rates, offered to help us with convenience store purchase for any item we might need before checkin.. truly a great welcome while we had feared arriving wee hours after midnight, our fears were replaced by a great hospitable service. The breakfast service was also good with many continental and local options and an extra service for breakfast box if guest needs to go out early. The location is near airport so we were able to rest right away from our flight. It was also 100 meters from Sanur beach which allowed us to do early morning walks to explore the beach area and it also was good pick up point to proceed to Sanur port for our Nusa Penida tour. Being an artist and art lover, I love the artsy feel in the architecture of the hotel common areas… so it was a really good stay and start of my Bali experience.

We were putting our small wedding together in the space of 3 weeks and my bride discovered the amazing event package for use of the rooftop. We booked it 2 weeks before the event and it worked out perfectly. We were even given a room for the 2 nights of the wedding weekend after selecting the second tier menu for our guests. The hotel staff were excellent at helping to set up, serving the buffet, and acquiring a band for the evening. Overall, it was incredible value for money.
