We booked this on the recommendation of our travel agent. We wanted a private villa with its own pool and this more than fitted the bill. We arrived late at night as our flight from Sydney was delayed due to a pilot not being available on Boxing Day. The transfer from the airport was easy and the staff were very welcoming when we arrived. A golf cart took us to our villa which consisted of a large lounge diner and kitchenette. We then passed the private pool to a large bedroom and massive bathroom. All mod cons such as tv’s aircon etc worked well. We used the hotel pool a couple of times but mostly stayed in the villa as it was lovely. The staff cleaned the villa and restocked the minibar daily. The breakfast buffet was fine. Different cuisines where catered for. Room service was quick and reasonably priced. We ventured down to the beach bar but other than the barman it was deserted so no atmosphere there. The hotel bar was also deserted so we gave up on finding some entertainment and went back to the villa. The staff put on a great poolside fireworks show for new year’s night. We really enjoyed our stay as we wanted peace and quiet. There is construction work going on beside the hotel but it didn’t bother us much. One thing is the paragliding experience next door flew right over the top of our pool while we were sunbathing sans clothes while the passenger was filming. I might end up on a bloopers reel one day.

We stayed at this wonderful resort for 3 nights late Jan/early February. Absolutely huge Villas with incredible bathrooms. Multiple shower options and divine private pool. Staff were excellent, from Check in to Check out. Food in the restaurant vas very good and the main pool good too. Front beach is swimmable, but probably wouldn’t spend a lot of time there. Pools were better. Good shuttle service to local shop. Cocktails were good but took quite a long time to make. We were in no rush though. Spa was very relaxing, our first experience with Balinese massage. Did not disappoint.

Stayed here or rather put here at end of a cruise for 5 nights. This is a totally genuine review. Firstly the pros:- The bedrooms are huge with wonderful sea views. The staff are excellent and the food is good. It is reasonably clean. The cons (or the major ones).:- There are 46 units but only 28 sun beds and these are grabbed by the selfish very, very early risers on a daily basis. The property is well out of town.We needed a taxi to do anything as the shuttle bus serves 3 hotels and this is the furthest.Naturally, it is very often full and with the few departure times you cannot gamble on a space. The property is being developed all along one side .Cement mixers have been a frequent extra guest in the reception area. There are no tables and chairs around the pool deck. There are a few on a lower area but only when the “ beach bar” is open”. There is access to the beach when the tide is out but you can’t swim as there is a large reef. There is a restaurant which is pleasant but certainly not “ luxury”, more like a cafeteria. No entertainment whatsoever. In my opinion this a vote to stay in for 24 hours post cruise and pre departure. If you are staying for more that 24 hours in Nusa Dua , do your research and find a better hotel.

Lovely big rooms in hotel over looking the ocean. Staff great could not do enough for you. English speaking staff were not the best. Lovely hotel but being right on the ocean could do with a little refurbishment. Rooms lovely, bed comfortable, clean, furniture could do with a make over. Hotel has carts to take you around grounds, luggage delivered to room on arrival and collect on departure from room. Our room was not ready on arrival, but let us stay in room till 3pm on departure.

We have recently returned from our stay at this beautiful hotel, after a wonderful but busy cruise we were there for 6 Days, it is approximately a 10 minute drive from the busy town of Nusa Dua which was about £5 in a taxi however there is an air conditioned shuttle bus several times a day there and back which we also used complimentary of the hotel. This takes you to Bali Collection Mall which has a very good selection of shops and restaurants. We had some lovely evenings there. From check in the service was outstanding, every member of staff were excellent from reception to the bell boys /buggy drivers, restaurant and the ladies in the spa. Our Room was on the first floor looking out on to the pool and sea. It was perfect and truly felt so relaxing there. Out room was massive having our own kitchen, dining area sofa. The room itself and with the views Amazing. We had breakfast everyday with a very good selection, and fresh eggs of your choice made to Order. Even my children who are fussy had plenty of Choice. We also ate a couple of evenings in the restaurant again lovely food and lots of choices also they do a light snacks menu In the day which you can also have Round the pool very reasonable prices. If you venture passed the pool there is a beach bar and a beautiful setting for watching the sunset come up. We also used the spa for some treatments again reasonably priced and outstanding service once again. We truly felt as a family of 4 it was a beautiful spot and very relaxing stay for us and we were sorry to come home. It was for us a piece of Paradise.

Have visited this hotel twice now and honestly can't think of a better place to relax and spend my time in Bali. The pool is incredible with hardly any guests using it. The food is amazing and the staff are so so lovely.

My partner and I visited last year for 12 days and enjoyed it so much we came for 3 weeks this time with Luxury Escapes and get a great package. The staff and the suites are both wonderful. We get a great ocean view (a whole wall) and a balcony. The bathroom is large as is the king size bed. The kitchen has a mini fridge and microwave as well as the usuals. Hair dryer supplied. Comfy lounge and 54 inch TV and a sound system. The pool looks impressive and well maintained as are the grounds. Restaurant we had Luxury Escapes menu (less options than alacarte) which was more than adequate. There is a spa with well trained staff and relaxing massage. Staff make you feel at home and can't do enough to make your stay enjoyable.

We booked this resort back in early 2022 with Luxury Escapes and just before we were due to fly to Bali, the dreaded Covid hit one of our party and we had to cancel at the very last minute - like that day! Ulu Segara was amazingly accomodating to us and agreed to postpone our stay for the same time (Sept) a year later - thank you. The resort itself is boutique and intimate, unlike the massive Mulia, Hilton & Co just up the road. Our suite was an impressive and spacious 100sqm with uninterrupted views over the reef and ocean below us. Comfy beds, great pillows, lounge, dining areas, huge bathroom with bath looking out over the sea......this was living. Breakfast was included in our package and was one of the highlights. Full western/Balinese with huge choice and excellent quality. Daily two-course lunch or dinner was also included, along with daily cocktails, 4 x 1hr massages and free shuttle to Bali Collection shopping & restaurant complex in Nusa Dua. The infinity-edge pool was stunning (including a swim up bar), and the list of facilities and highlights was endless. Staff were of course, fabulous with the beautiful nature of the Balinese always on show. As a fairly experienced world traveller over several decades - at every level of luxury from basic to the ultimate - this resort is up there with the best, all things considered. No, it's not perfect.......but it goes close. What it does clearly represent, however, is quite simply extraordinary value for money, delivered in a boutique, intimate, and more authentic way than the behemoths a short drive up the coast. We'll be back.

Room and staff: A location with a beautiful ocean view. Rooms are spacious and clean. We were not disturbed by anything throughout our stay at this hotel. The territory is small, but quite well arranged so that you have your relaxation space. Disadvantages: You can enjoy the sun until 3:30 PM, after that it disappears behind the hotel and you can no longer enjoy. Access to the beach can only be in the afternoon, when the water recedes, but you cannot swim in the ocean. Food: Small diversity for breakfast, but enough. Disadvantages: I do not recommend eating at the restaurant, there is no diversity and the food is not the tastiest I have tried. Other: Amazing staff - wonderful people who do their best to make you feel good. Special appreciation for Ima from the restaurant and Rosita from the reception. Do not go to the SPA in the hotel - unprofessional staff and they are not kind, totally disappointed. There is nothing outside the hotel, you can't go out by foot because everything is far, but a taxi to the city is quite cheap and accessible.

I’m well travelled and appreciate things for what they are, so I consider advertising misleading information to be unethical. I want to point out that the hotel staff were very friendly, tried their best to accommodate guests’ requests, the rooms were good and the view was amazing, but we were disappointed with the poor quality of the hotel and lack of ‘five star’ amenities. • Access to the hotel beach from the pool area is quite steep going down 90 steps (about 5 floors) • Once you reach the bottom of the stairs, you find a rocky inaccessible area to your right and left - even in low tide it is difficult to walk around. • Guests’ lounge on 5th floor is old and tired. • Beach bar opens from 1pm - 53 steep concrete steps to go to reach the bar (3 floors) • only one restaurant with a limited budget menu - food quality and selection were very disappointing for what is meant to be a luxury hotel. • The hotel is tired, with old furniture and poor lighting • The closest beach is 2.5 km • No paths to walk anywhere except venturing to the main road which is under construction • No disabled access to the lobby , pool, beach or bar. • Cheap Plastic flowers decor everywhere • No ambience • The Emergency stairs are abandoned with many trip hazards all the way • The Hotel desperately needs maintenance and repairs to offer the basic needs to guests I hope this feedback could help the hotel identify areas for improvement and potentially enhance the overall guest experience.
