Staff were accommodating, but things went down hill there on, I booked a Suite room in the hope of a little luxury, I arrived at 7pm said restaurant Rasa was open till 1030
All the bay Marie was empty I wasn't even acknowledged by staff and had to ask for a table it was hot in the restaurant and all food was pretty much gone I ordered Vietnamese spring rolls and salad 10 mins came by only to be told they had run out all I could choose was a fried rice which was ordinary to say the least.
From there my aircon didn't work, so I had to request another room which was very inconvenient as I had to repack my bags .
I went out today and returned at 6pm my room hadn't been turned over beds not made no fresh towels was left as I walked out in the morning. I called receptionist and was told they had a full house and gor busy , this is not my issue surely management can put enough staff on for cleaning. I would not consider this a 5 star establishment, at best
2 star, its old , tired, no cushions on the patio chairs rust marks on the shower floors and around doors, surely when paying $2680 AUS you would expect better accommodation and room facilities as in aircon working

We stayed at Vouk on a layover from Dubai to Australia late last month. While the hotel is overall tiered and needs renovating, I cannot fault the staff both on the front desk and serving at the restaurant. When we arrived the room we were allocated smelled of mould and was generally a bit run down, we called the front desk and the wonderful lady that was managing at the time was very quick to resolve the issue and find us a new room. Within the hour we were given a significantly better room, albeit still tiered, but upgraded and clean.
Additional points: The gardens are well groomed. The shuttle bus to the shopping area was handy, and the linens/beds were soft. My only complaint would be that the breakfast could be healthier. That said, I did see the chefs prepping the food for the AM and everything looked really well done.
I really hope the staff are looked after by the owners of this hotel (paid well), they were really exceptional throughout our stay and I would generally consider returning on this basis. The owners do however, need to consider renovating this property in the near future.
