I visited Bali with my family in early January 2020 and we stayed at Ramada Plaza Sunset Road. I chose Ramada because of it's highly-regarded reputation and reviews that I am very much aware of. I booked 4 superior rooms. However, when we arrived the rooms were far from expected. As the superior rooms are located below the reception floor, I'm guessing they are near the piping system. There was a pungent smell that filled the hallways and rooms and the rooms were not well maintained. The balcony had pipes running through and we were bitten by mosquitoes the whole night.I immediately made a complaint and requested a change of rooms. I would like to thank Ayu for ensuring a smooth switch to the deluxe rooms which are situated on a higher floor. Overall, I've been to better hotels under the Wyndham group but I believe the only issue here is the quality of superior rooms. The hotel's location is strategic, breakfast was good and very pleasant hotel staff especially Ayu who always ensured our wellbeing. I believe if improvements are made to the superior rooms, this hotel may be upheld to a higher standard.

Location of this hotel is very convenience, near many restaurants, Hakata Ikkousha, D'cost and others. Also not so far from Krisna Souvenir Centre.
When I check-in, my room is upgraded from Deluxe to Family Suite, due to all deluxe room is already occupied for some group of visitors using several buses.
Thank you very much for that.
But the nightmare happens on the breakfast. Due to the group of visitors occupied the breakfast, other guests can not having the breakfast. The restaurant running out of clean plate, glass, spoon and fork. Also some dishes are finished.
We are very disappointed, and complaint so much.
Overall, even though they upgrade my room, still I feel unsatisfied due to the very bad breakfast experience.
And surely I do not want to come to this hotel again.

We spent almost a week at the hotel at the end of July 2024. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bedding is adequate. Very pleasant hotel staff who try to be helpful.

Breakfasts are adequate, a large selection of local dishes, modest cheeses and cold cuts for a European tourist. Not very good tea (but this is common in Bali). In the evenings, you can eat tasty and inexpensively at the hotel, the staff takes orders even 20 minutes before closing. Everyone is very willing to help.

Its only downside is the bathrooms - they are well equipped with cosmetics and other things, the towels are soft and clean but unfortunately the walls and doors in the bathroom could use a good and thorough cleaning.

The hotel was a starting point for us to explore Bali and it worked very well. Next to the hotel there are shops, a currency exchange.

Terrible hotel to stay. we checked on 15th Jan late night. no one came to pick the baggage for 15 minutes. When I went inside found 2 people were hiding and smoking after putting off lights in a secluded area and they attended myself and my wife after finishing their puff. The hand towels are not provided in room even if you ask for it. They just provide 2 towels for shower for two of us. Complementary mineral water & teabags are also rationed. 500 ml water per person per day and 1 teabag+1creamer/day per person only is allowed. Request for late check out was accepted but 3 hours late check out costed us about 20 $ extra.
Zero customer service. no one ever asked for any feed back

A hotel ahould have similar comforts home or has exceptional features as stated by hotel marketing. In this case based on brand, photos and reviews. I purchased a luxury 6 night stay with a Junior suite which included; transfer to airport, coctails, breakfast and one buffet dinner. I imagine arriving at 0210 on Christmas into a room located on the ground floor which looked and smelled like it was left in the last decade. Hair was all over the bed, chair or couch was stained.Bed stained with blood and pee. Towels that were supposed to be white are grey and hard. Three bottle of water was provided to drink or wash your face and whatever, because the water is not drinkable from the faucet. Also in speaking with the front desk personnel staff at 02:30 morning I requested room change. This change took some time and did not get switch to the other room until 0330, mind you my 10 year old daughter and I were super tired.
Every standard this facility failed,
1. Rooms
2. Location
3. Cleanliness
4. Roach motel
5. Breakfast:once was enough, although I paid for six days.Got stomach issues.
6. Pool: Dirty, poolside needs TLC.
7. Restaurant service:watered down cocktails. Lacks quality food and presentation.

Wyndham or Ramada needs to train staff on the standards of hospitality care, repair and maintenance facilities to code. This is NOT it!!!
Or change name of hotel to Motel 6!

My Mom and I arrived the evening of 26th October to a hot but friendly Bali. What a welcome we received by Ayu at reception and her team. She made sure to give us all the information we needed to make our holiday as easy and fun as possible. We were informed of the hotel restaurant that was open until 10pm should we wish to get some dinner which we grabbed the chance at. Our first dinner was served by the wonderful Agus who made sure to explain the dishes and how they were served. He also proceeded to give us tips about all the places we had planned to go and visit. All in all, the staff at this hotel were the friendliest in all our travel adventures over the years. The hotel itself was comfortable and clean. The rooftop pool was an ultimate winner as we spent so many hours just soaking up the sun and enjoying the clean water. Breakfasts were of a great variety and set us up well for the remainder of the day. We had planned to leave the hotel at 5am one morning to drive quite a distance and the hotel prepared us a breakfast basket which we could take with - This was so impressive and so delicious. The location of the property was also just what we were after - Not too far from the beaches of Kuta but also not too wild and noisy. We would like to thank you for taking such great care of us and we hope to return back to Bali and stay with you in the very near future.

From the beginning, the Ramada Hotel Employees have been greeted well and friendly. Not forgetting the health protocol before we enter the Hotel area. Shown each room with a very refreshing welcome drink. The most impressive thing for me personally and my friends is the friendly service and nuance from the employees, especially Pak Budi and mb Ayu who are always very helpful when we have a need. I highly recommend for other travelers to stay at the Ramada Sunset Road by Windham

My husband and I joined a package tour from September 9-12, 2013 to Bali, Indonesia. We were booked at the Ramada by Wyndham, Sunset street.

The hotel is right beside a Circle K convenience store and very near a Restaurant they call Warung.

Our room was at the 5th floor. The bed was large and very comfortable. The aircon was working perfectly. The bathroom highly needs improvement. There were yellow stains on the toilet bowl cover. Shower area has molds around.

We stayed for 3 nights but the room was never cleaned even once. Soap, toilet paper, coffee and cream was never replenished. We have to call the reception to request for toilet paper.

Buffet breakfast was plentiful. Staff were kind, helpful and courteous.

This is a 3 star hotel definitely. Location is perfect, as it can be considered as the juncture between Nusa Dua, Kuta, Seminyak, Sanur. Located at the main road (Sunset Road) with easy access and walking distance to nearby McDonalds. The staffs were friendly, but the hotel condition shows some deterioration, despite the room was clean and cozy enough. Some torn wallpaper here and there, worn out wood flooring, broken cabinet door under the sink. But overall a clean and affordable accommodation, if location is what you are looking for. Parking space is also ample to accommodate a number of cars or buses

We were looking for a place close to the airport for a couple of nights stay before heading out to other parts of Indonesia. This place is on a main road, really close to nothing of interest (other than a large overpriced mall) and has few food options for breakfast other than the overpriced breakfast buffet. The room was cramped, the air conditioner loud and there were other mechanical noises heard throughout the night. The rooftop pool is the highlight but that really is this place's only saving grace. Wouldn't return again.
