Bali Rani Hotel's serene pool and lush gardens, coupled with its prime location, have garnered appreciation from many guests, who also commend the overall cleanliness and the attentive service provided by the staff. While the rooms are generally considered clean and maintained, some visitors suggest that certain areas could benefit from renovation and more thorough cleaning. The central location near shops, beaches, and eateries is a highlight, although encounters with persistent local vendors may occur. Despite the mixed reviews regarding the atmosphere and the need for updates, the hotel is praised for offering good value.

Middle of the road typical Indonesian hotel. This was booked through TUI UK as a package holiday based on other people’s reviews. Greeted at reception on arrival with a cold drink in nice surroundings, waited around 15/20 minutes to get a room allocated which I found strange and annoying after nearly 24 hours of travelling. Room was a decent size all the facilities you would expect to find, Nice size pool which remained empty except for a handful of guests, bar opens at 11am which I think there missing a trick or two, all holiday destinations I have stopped at is 10am as a general rule. Seems a long time when you need a drink in the heat, and it was hot from the get go to say it was the rainy season. Breakfast was not great in the restaurant, a lot to choose from but mainly Asian food, we lived off omelettes, no pork. Lots of creepy crawlies on the open uncovered food section, bread/pastries, topping like chicken, chillies, onion etc. When sat down you seem to get lots of flies around the tables as the restaurant has no walls overlooking the pool area.

The room was a comfortable sleep with A/C, rained heavily a few times in the early hours of the morning and I guess they have structural problems as you could here the rain dripping onto the ceiling and the plaster had blown, thankfully it never came through. Had a problem with the A/C on the last day which they came and fixed straight away.

In a good location not far from the centre of Kuta, loads of restaurants and shops nearby, you get hassled for taxi/scooter & massages ever day but I guess you expect it. Prices are nearly comparable with the UK for everything from eating out to purchasing snacks and drinks.

The hotel and rooms are looking tired and in desperate need of some TLC, personally I would not rate this as a 4* but more 2* or 3* at best. The staff are the stars at the Bali Rani, they can’t do enough for you and are kind and courteous. Would I stay here again? Honestly, in its current condition that would be a NO.

This review is my personal opinion and I’m not biased in anyway, there are lots of other choices for accommodation very nearby. Hope this helps any that happen to read.

“Bali Rani kuta ”
We stayed at the Bali Rani in March 24 and will be returning around same time in 2025 rooms are a little bit outdated but are clean and comfortable and that's what counts. Indah was around every day to make sure that your rooms were OK and if you had any problems she would get straight onto them in her new job roll at the hotel. Breakfast was nice with a good selection of different cuisines.. The staff are very friendly and helpful we made friends with Gusti who made sure we had clean towels by the pool on a daily basis.. The brasserie serving up restaurant quality food and Dana always made sure you were happy with the your meals. A very enjoyable 8 nights (wish we had stayed for longer) indeed on our return to the UK🇬🇧 from Perth WA

Location was very central to our needs & close proximity to main shopping centers, Waterbom and a short walk to Kuta Main Beach.
Plenty of restaurants and live bands within easy walking distance. Value for your money was Bamboo Bar & Grill which is a short walk from the hotel.
Their massage facilities (Bali Rani Seruni Spar) on the premises was excellent.
Breakfast was adequate but could have more meals towards European taste.
Swimming pool was awesome, clean and had a section for kids.
Staff were always smiling & very helpful. A big mention especially to Nyoman Sugiasa, who gave us heaps of helpful information & his friendship stood out.
The bed was hard, however when we mentioned this a mattress topper was supplied.
Their bath towels are thread bare and do need to be replaced.
Bali Ranis is value for money.

The Bali Rani

We stayed at three different hotels over 9 days, and Bali Rani was by far the best in terms of value for money. The hotel’s location is very central. The guests are mostly middle-aged and older, which is perfect for people like us looking for a peaceful environment. With so many options available, it can get overwhelming, but this place will definitely satisfy you.

The staff, in particular, are the true gems of this hotel. In general, Bali’s hospitality industry is outstanding, but this hotel takes it a step further. Especially Mr. Juniarta, the front desk manager, was incredibly attentive to us and continued to assist us even after we had checked out.

If I owned a hotel, I would definitely want a staff member with such a strong sense of dedication. I truly wish the best for them!

Had a very pleasant stay. The guest relations person, Indah, went out of her way to make our stay memorable (it was my birthday). They sang at the breakfast table which was specially prepared for us and when I got back to the room, the room/bed was made up with birthday wishes. Staff are friendly and very helpful. We also had an amazing experience in their spa with unbelievable treatments and massages, good value for money. Absolutely worth the money to stay here.

Just returned from this hotel, unfortunately only 3 days there at the end of our holiday, wish we’d had longer. It’s in the middle of the strip opposite a large new shopping arcade that you can walk through to the beach, the arcade has MacDonalds, Burger King and Subway.
There are numerous bars and restaurants within easy reach. The street is constantly busy with traffic. There are supermarkets all along the street with one virtually next door
When you walk through reception and the first courtyard the noise just fades and into the second courtyard with the pool it’s a peaceful haven.
Pool area is lovely and Gusti the pool man is a star who cannot do enough for you.
The rooms are good, the only criticism I could make is that the shower could do with a new shower head as it’s blocked in places. Otherwise it has everything you need, small balcony to sit out and the air conditioning is excellent.
Breakfast was good, lots of options for eastern and western tastes, egg chef there daily.
We would have stayed longer if we could

Not a 4 star place at all. In the bathroom paint was peeling off walls, the shower was dirty, moldy had other people's hair left in it. Looked like no one had cleaned it in months. The towels we had were like rags at the end's of them all frayed and very nasty dirty white stained. Bed sheet's were a very grey white.  Fridge was dirty inside and out. I did go to the reception and showed pictures, they got someone to repaint the bathroom wall and clean the bathroom. Not very well as it was still dirty in the shower, as they left plaster dust and chips all over the bathroom. I even showed the cleaner where the dirt was. After 3 days I contacted my travel agent who contacted them and we got a new room. Room was better but I think the cleaning standards are terrible.

If you are considering staying at Kuta, Bali Rani is a must to consider. The location, the ambience of the entire resort, the staff, the breakfast, the restaurant everything is just perfect and has such a lovely Balinese feel. We have been coming to Bali for many years and we must have stayed at over 20 resorts and Bali Rani is hands down our favorite. I have stayed twice this year, for 8 nights in August with a girlfriend and currently staying 8 nights with my partner and we just love it. We have never stayed anywhere that looks after us so well. A special mention and thanks to Gusti, Dana and Andreas and how could we forget all the other wonderful staff at breakfast, the Brasserie Restaurant, cleaning our room and at Reception as nothing is a problem, and they are always so happy to do anything at all to help. We used to just come and stay a few nights at the end of our trip as the hotel is so close to the airport but now, we just love coming here so much we stay longer. Bali Rani is in such a central location and easy access for local shopping, restaurants, massages, the beach and day trips etc. The Brasserie Restaurant at the front of the resort serves lovely local food at very reasonable prices. Thank you to everyone at Bali Rani for making our Bali holidays so special.

It sadens me to review this hotel so badly as I've always stayed here.Probably stayed her in blocks of 7 to 14 day stay over the last 8 years. The staff are amazing!
Unfortunately, they do not service Western breakfast for us Aussies anymore.Caters more for Asian and Indian people in the buffet breakfast and also the restaurant.
We ordered a pasta meal by the pool, and it was water logged and tasteless. We sent it back.I also ordered a chicken burger, which was still uncooked and was sent back.I emailed the owner who replied he was sorry and will look into it.
Unfortunately, we will no longer stay here .
If you do stay here, there is a restaurant in walking distance called Kabar attached to the Bali Garden hotel, which is absolutely amazing food .Staff are fantastic and the food is the best

Dear barry m, thank you for your message. From parking area into lobby, into room ground floor (usually we put a portable ramp) if room on second & third floor, you may use elevator), around garden & pool should be fine. Thank you
