Very nice stay with family. The pool has a water depth of 1.2 meters and breakfast buffet is good. Especially in the suite room, the hot water comes out of the water purifier, electric cylinder, and induction. If you just leave the hotel, Pepitomat is a cheap hotel right in front of the worst traffic jams, so you can avoid traffic jams on the beach.

Ramayana has been a favourite with my family for over 20 years and remains a good choice. Very close to restaurants, warungs as well as shops and the beach. Rooms despite being renovated (main building) are looking tired and could do with some improvements; loose wires, cracked and damaged timber and perhaps a general 'lift' to the décor. Although I recall the beds being as previously reported "incredibly comfortable", this was not my recent experience and perhaps this was because it was a twin converted to a king rather than a king itself. Rooms generally provide all that you need. Service was somewhat inconsistent this trip particularly noticeable in housekeeping. Pool service was excellent and a special shout out to Wayan for his continued excellent service to guests. I did report to management (as I have done on previous occasions) that they should consider removing the mattresses from the pool lounges at the end of the day and during rainy periods as laying on a saturated lounge is incredibly uncomfortable and was our experience during our recent stay due to the rain and lack of protection provided by the current covers. The removal of the mattresses would not take much time and would provide a more comfortable and dryer experience for guests as well as serve to protect the mattresses themselves. We noted that towels were in short supply during this period due to them becoming incredibly wet just being on the mattress and requiring more frequent changes. Although the bars downstairs can be noisy at night depending on your room location, it is very tranquil during the day around the pool. There is a gym, circle K out the front, laundromat as well as a kids space (not supervised). I was incredibly disappointed at the service provided by reception on this visit, a vast change from previous visits where staff were literally chasing family members and asking them to prove they had paid their accounts. This was reported to the front office manager, Yuni and will be followed up. Kartika in reservations always provides a high level of service and this is appreciated. Hopefully with some minor changes (including to the welcome drink) which was not at all popular, Ramayana will remain our choice of hotels in Bali.

Not the best experience in Bali - that's for sure. Firstly, there was construction right beside the pool bar. And not just construction, but jackhammers and angle grinders - all day. They decided to renovate the toilets and that meant taking every tile off the floor and wall, I assume one by one. Maybe with one guy too . . . . because if that was me, I would have got a large crew in and smashed it out in one day, but they were still going on day FOUR when I left. It's just not good enough. . . There needs to be an international standard for all hotels that it is MANDATORY to inform guests that their holiday may be ruined by loud construction noise. I left the pool and went to my room to escape - but there was no escape - the walls were vibrating. So - big signs "no smoking or diving" are placed around the pool - but that does not apply if you are fat and stupid. The Ramayana had a decent share of fat stupid people - smoking around the pool, and those same stupid people Dived into the pool, wetting everyone. Intellectually challenged for sure. I love my breakfast, but by day four I was happy with fruit and a fruit juice, because the other options were just poor. The range and quality are not five star that's for sure. And that fat stupid American was chain-smoking Winstons in the middle of the restaurant. What a pig. But I had the audacity to ask him to join the other smokers who were respectfully smoking outside - and he told me where to go. I asked him if he possessed just enough self-control to go for one meal without having to have three cigarettes, and he told me no - he didn't. I gave him a quick health lesson on why he was red, his teeth were yellow, he smelt off and his eyes were glassy, and he said it was poor kidneys. Oh well - may as well smoke. Respect to the mostly Indian people who moved out onto the verandah for a smoke, at least they are respectful of others. Look, if you read my other reviews you will see I am pretty nice. But I am sorry, this was rubbish. S0 - they need water bottles in the rooms, better pillows, more clothes hangers, somewhere to hang wet bathers, more than two towels, and a better breakfast. They need to trim the trees around the pool so it looks like the photos, or take some new ones.

I recently stayed at the Ramayana Suites and Resorts and have to say that the welcome I received on arrival was friendly and very welcoming. I was disappointed, however, by the quality of the rooms. I stayed in what was considered a “Deluxe” room. In the morning, there was water gushing out of the air-conditioner onto the floor. Admittedly I was changed to another room, but this was no better. The air-conditioner in this room dripped water onto the couch below leaving a very unpleasant wet patch. The bathroom had mould on the grout in the shower and mould under the hand-basin. The towels were grey and stained – and really not befitting of a 4-star hotel. I had booked half-board and was very surprised that the menu provided for this was limited (3 things for appetizer; 6 or 7 things for main meal; and 4 things for dessert) AND the menu did not change for the duration of my stay. I did argue that it was unreasonable to provide such a limited selection for a stay of 5 nights – and after some discussion, the staff relented and allowed me to choose from the main menu (with the exception of some dishes). I found the staff in the restaurant of the evening to be exceptionally rude and not at all helpful. This was a vast difference to the staff in the morning who could not do enough for the guests. The outside area is kept immaculate. Ground staff are out sweeping up the Frangipani leaves and it is clear that this is the area where the care is concentrated on. The interior of hotel is sad and very much luck lustre and really not worthy of the 4 star rating. While the location is excellent it really is not a resort where I would stay again.

3rd trip to Bali but first time staying here. Ramayana Suites and Resort is a great place to stay, it is right at the bottom end of Kuta, about a 20-25 minute taxi ride from the airport depending on traffic, approximately a 10-12 minute walk into the middle of town or a short taxi ride. Waterbom park is a 8-10 minute walk in the opposite direction. The resort has all the modern facilities including a tour desk, 24hr reception, wifi, pool bar, modest gymnasium, beauty salon, restaurant and a decent sized pool with plenty of shaded areas and towels supplied. The staff are very friendly and helpful, always greeting you with a smile and a hello. We had a 2 bedroom suite and it was cleaned and beds made on a daily basis. Big shout out to Rizal who looked after us doing a great job maintaining our room, the ladies at the front reception always wanting to help out and also Jonathan at the tour desk. Couldn't fault the buffet breakfast, there is a very wide selection. From cereal to made to order omelettes and eggs, stir fried noodles and vegetables, different fruits, toast and bread selections, donuts cakes and danish's. Plus a wide range of hot dishes, bacon, sausages, hash browns, baked beans, nasi gorang rice, waffles pan cakes and the list goes on. Plenty of market stalls and money exchange places within walking distance as well as a wide range of places to eat. No issues with bed bugs, mould in rooms or rude staff like other reviews mention. Would definitely recommend and we would consider Ramayana Suites as our first choice when we return again.

We were ushered into the suite lounge with a traditional drink “Jamu”and a warm smile We all had a wonderful stay at interconnecting family suite for 2 nights. resort front view elegantly designed in Balinese Architectural cottage style set within in a unique natural landscape. our family suite equipped with 1 living room, 2 en suite bedrooms(rooms were perfect in size but bathrooms were comparatively smaller)& long private balcony with round table and chairs a sofa . suite is filled with high taste of aesthetic and traditional touch. All room has spectacular garden view . elegant, tranquil and serene environment. the magnificent swimming pool surrounded by the lush, tranquil greenery . 😋Breakfast with sumptuous delicious food. the restaurant Gabah is an authentic Balinese relish experience staffs are warmth and welcoming with embodies of Balinese hospitality. While relaxing in the sunlounger at pool deck, food,drinks & the spa facilities available direct to you throughout the day. Inexpensive laundry room with washer, dryer& detergent also available in the premises. (The only downside is that the resort hasn’t its own beach) 😍All in all, the best place to stay when in Bali!

You can expect more from a 5-star hotel than dated rooms with a slight mold smell. The rooms are well equipped, but that's just not it. For example, the mattresses are smaller than the bed itself, so you keep bumping your ankles on the edge of the bed. The pool is nice, the drinks not cheap and the breakfast fantastic. The associated restaurant is fine. Nicely located by the way.

The hotel has a good location, situated in the center of Kuta, very close to the beach and between two major shopping malls, Discovery Mall and Beachwalk Mall. It is surrounded by many dining options and a variety of shops.
The hotel grounds are not very large but offer several restaurants and a complimentary voucher with a 15% discount per person. The breakfast is varied and delicious, including freshly squeezed juices.
The hotel has only one pool, and for its capacity, there are not enough sun loungers.
The rooms are old but spacious; however, the bathrooms are in poor condition—extremely small, outdated, and neglected. My room door was broken, requiring repair twice. The shower was damaged, and the toilet cistern was leaking. The balcony door wouldn’t open, making it impossible to air out the room.
Used dishes from room service were left outside my door for two days without being cleared. Heavy rains caused the ceiling in the hotel corridor to leak, creating a waterfall effect.
The hotel staff is friendly and smiling. My main complaint is about the rooms, which are in serious need of renovation and do not meet the standard of the hotel’s claimed star rating.

The Ramayana itself has great food with different restaurants to choose. If you walk out and turn left you have so many restaurants to chose with prices to fit all budgets. I have been to Bali over 50 times and always look for something new. If you want to eat novelty style - Bubba Gumps - it is a ten minute walk from Ramayana. Food is everywhere in this area. Have fun.
