We love mahendra, we use it as a base when travelling in Bali, and will frequently spend nights there in between our booked accommodation. The staff are excellent and our kids love to play in the courtyard, very cheap, central and welcoming. Good wifi, beers and water available to purchase, good local advise from the staff.

We got the double room with A/C and its just fine. I wouldn't go here if you expect something fancy, but all in all it's great if you've been backpacking for a while (like us) and just want a private room with good working A/C and a nice cold shower after a hot day. The water pressure of the shower...

Stayed here for one night only when New Year's Eve. Room is clean, cozy and lovely. But there is no tissue toilet and towel. We know, Kuta is so hot even in the morning and in the evening, what we have in our room is a fan, tiny fan, not make me cold enough. Friendly staff also. Yeahh if you...

This hostel has different buildings and I stayed at building in front of Reception. The rooms are quite ugly and dirty, the shower did not work, there were ants around all the room, the TV had no signal, the street is very noisy, there were no towels and linnens were stained. I found several places with nice swimming pools and...

I arrived in Bali at night. I told the taxi driver the name of the hotel and the adress and he immediately told me he wouldn't leave me in front of the hotel. He said he would leave me at some street and from there I could walk to the hotel. I made him take me to the hotel and...

I have been staying at the Mahendra Beach Inn for around a week now. Ofc the room is for sleeping only - but hey you're on Bali, so why stay indoor anyway. I got a fan room for 125/night. Value for money. Staff is friendly and talkative. Clean room. Great bathroom. And then, awesome location in the heart of Kuta....

Nice location, clean and small, but at least good breakfast. It's not the best place to stay but if you look for something cheap it's fine. A bit noisy cause there are some clubs around, and also a rooster that used to wake up us every morning! However the staff is nice and if you don't want to spend much,...

We couldn't find the place because we arrived at 3AM and the neighborhood is quite dark. We had to stay somewhere else but when the morning come it actually pretty easy to find. Poppies Lane can't be accessed freely with car so if you come from airport by taxi, tell them to drop you at Legian Road, there's small road...

Being there 4 years ago, when the rooms were pretty neat and cheap (as most of the accommodations at that time in Kuta). Upon our arrival to Kuta, Mahendra Beach Inn, this August (2012), we were truly disappointed when dissevered that the rooms were trashed, dirty,... well not maintained at all -> whereas the price was 2-times higher. As we...

As a solo woman traveller, I arrived late night to Kuta, all recommended places were full or too expensive. So when I found a room available at Mahendra, was sort of happy, however had the feeling that I was overcharged badly (after18 hours travelling, after midnight, I did not really care, just needed a bed as soon as possible). For...
