The Open House is an intimate 17-Suite hotel set upon the beautiful Jimbaran Bay. The design is organic and bohemian at the same time, with an eco-friendly and sustainable touch, such as the use of bamboo, recycled wood and colonial floor tiles. There is one big swimming pool, a relaxing area with books, free wifi and a coffee shop with delicious homemade dishes. Located on the quiet southern coast of Bali, our neighbourhood includes the famous and vibrant fish market and the traditional market. Jimbaran is renowned above all else for its beautiful beach, with its white sand and calm waters. The 17 Suites are distributed on two floors. The spacious and intimate bedrooms are decorated in a mix of vintage and modern styles with details that will delight you, such as decoration items from Indonesia, recycled wood and colonial cement tiles which are The Open House trademark. All the rooms include a terrace or balcony with a sofa for reading or hanging out while enjoying the view of our fantastic swimming pool and palm trees. During the Covid-19 period, most hotels in Bali were closed. We remained in Bali and decided to enjoy different locations. While looking for a place in Jimbaran, we spotted The Open House and although it was closed, we asked them. The opened the room for us with all the necessary services (reception, room and breakfast). We found them so flexible and accommodating! The grounds were still kept in pristine condition (including the swimming pool) and we met the Spanish owner, super welcoming! They spent the initial months of the pandemic scrubbing, cleaning, painting, maintaining and fixing all areas of the resort and everything looked new. The room which has the bathroom inside is really cool and it was spotless. We were given a room in the upper floor with a biiig balcony from which you could see the hotel pool and the neighbour's green piece of land... tropical lush everywhere! We had breakfast on site and they prepared everything to order (no buffet), so yummy fresh food every day. The best thing is the resort location, just 50 mts from the beach where you have the best sunsets in the island. Due to the pandemic the grilled fish warungs were closed, so we will have to come back to try the famous fresh fish. Next door is a Bilbao restaurant (Spanish food) which, we were told has some of the best tapas on the island (also closed temporarily). All in all, great and flexible service with a warm welcome (despite the situation and closure of most businesses), spotless room with lovely hotel grounds and amazing location!

My partner and my second visit to The Open House exceeded expectations again. Rooms are all well appointed around a beautiful central pool, but the clever design meant we always felt a sense of intimacy, privacy.
A perfect hotel for couples, but will be returning with family soon - Best Breakfast we had in Bali, and nothing was too much trouble for the wonderful staff.
2 mins walk to Jimbaran Beach and a “genuine” 20 minutes to the airport ...We will be back :) Highly Recommended!

Great little hotel away from the busy Denpasar area Loved the pool, breakfast, spa on site Rooms are small, but cute with everything you really need. Fantastic terrace/balcony overlooking the pool and lush greenery Staff are friendly and welcoming The Jimbaran beach is a couple of minutes walk There is a nice selection of seafood restaurants on the beach and I had a great experience with the first one on the left (sorry do not remember the name) If you are looking for a hustle and bustle of the touristy area you’ll need transportation to get there. The streets walkable but it’s quite far so do your research of the location
I would definitely recommend Open House and will not hesitate to stay there again

We were there for the first 4 days of our honeymoon. Rooms are cleaned, comfortable and fully equipped; all the staff has been very kind and gentle; we have also tried the Spa for a 1h relaxing Balinese Massage; we want to point out the restaurant, because foods are fresh, homemade and made with love. We want to recommend it to all the people that want to find a place to relax, restore, recharge and eat good.

I love the fact that it is a small property. It is quiet and intimate. The open concept for the whole property gives it the most relaxing and airy atmosphere. I love the balcony and the poolside! The beach (Queen Beach) is literally a 2-min walk away. I enjoyed catching the sunset on the beach while enjoying a seafood dinner at Lia Cafe.
The food in this property is good as well. Their breakfast is ala carte and there's plenty of choices to choose from. You may also have your breakfast served in your room.
But the gold in this property is the staff team. The staff gave personalised service from the time you check in until you check out. They are helpful and thoughtful. Thanks to Ayu and the whole staff team for such a great relaxing and homey experience.
Highly recommended for solo travellers looking for peace and quiet. Will definitely go back.

Fantastic place about 100m from the beach and the restaurants that serve fresh fish and prawns on the beach. Great salt water pool in the photo which you can swim lengths in. Very nice to lie beside as well. The rooms have everything you need with good AC. The food is very good especially the breakfasts which were the best I had on Bali in a month of travelling around. The all round experience is probably better than many of the chain hotels nearby where you would undoubtedly pay more. Thoroughly recommend especially at the end of your stay as it’s very convenient for the airport.

We spent 6 nights at The Open House and loved it. We enjoyed our ground floor room as we had direct access to the pool. We especially liked the small intimate nature of the resort, the pool and the food. Breakfast was delicious and all other meals we ordered were freshly cooked and fabulous. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They ordered taxis for us when we wanted to go exploring. The resort is very close to Jimbaran Beach and the seafood restaurants. The seafood we tried at The Open House was much better than the seafood on the beach although more expensive. We had a few issues with our room but these were quickly fixed when we reported them. My only negative was the small amount of pool towels available and the quality of the linen, bathroom towels and pool towels. The owner even gave us a little present when we left.

We had a great stay at The Open House Bali Hotel, we were warmly welcomed, the staff are very kind and carried our luggages to the room. The hotel is very well located, just 2 minutes' walk from the beach. The room is clean and functional, it has air conditioning and a fan, a large terrace with chairs, a table, and a bench. In the hall there's a small closet and a safe box, there's a desk with a mini-fridge, the bed is comfortable and the sheets are clean. In the bathroom, towels are provided, they give glass bottles of drinking water, hand soap which smells very well, shower gel, shampoo, a small hairdryer, A/C, The hotel has a swimming pool, they provide towels for the swimming pool, they have a good restaurant and a spa. You can relax on a sunbed at the swimming pool in a pleasant atmosphere. We loved our stay and we will come back on our next trip.

We came across this wonderful hotel when we went there for dinner one night, we booked for a few nights and kept extending our stay. It’s safe to say we love this place, the food is fantastic, the staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The location is great, it’s right beside the beach, and really close to the airport. The rooms overlook the pool, and are very comfortable to sleep in. Every Tuesday and Thursday night there is an acoustic singer, which is so lovely at dinner, and you can also hear her from your balcony. And the music at breakfast and dinner has been chosen well for the overall relaxing atmosphere at the open house. There’s a library at the end of the large pool and also a spa, for us everything is covered, we had no reason to go anywhere else...which is why we kept extending our stay. We have now moved to Jimbaran from London and often go there for breakfast or dinner, I truly cannot fault this place, you won’t be disappointed booking, I wish more places were as good as the Open house.

We are moving on tomorrow. I agree with all the other good reviews for Open House. Yes, the wifi is the worst ever and they must look at fixing it. The only problem for us is that it is a bit of a walk to all the restaurants/shops/atm of Jimbaran except for the beach fish grilleries at about 100 metres,but the get very repetitive after 2 days.

Jimbaran is fishermen village, where the local live surrounding and facilities all are in walking distance. For shopping, need for 10 minutes walk or 5 minute by drive, while nearby restaurant is between 5 - 10 minutes walk are in plenty choices of menu such local seafood, or International & Local Balinese food includes also our restaurant. There are more restaurants and beach clubs down at the Southern end of the beach (Four Seasons end), a little further to walk along the beach but a little more variety, not only seafood restaurants.

Almost all the time is sunshine during the day, only ,light rain sometimes at night, but that's perfect to balance the hot weather, into body temperature ...great to lay down and having sun tan on the beach, which is only 1 minute walk from our hotel.
