We had a fabulous staycation here and amazed at the hotel, staff and service. We were greeted on arrival by Alfi (guest experience manager) who was genuinely proud to to welcome us to the hotel and explain its current services. As our room was not ready we were taken to the Movenpick Cafe for a coffee and once the room was available check in was completed there by the amazing Poppy who made it so easy and explained our inclusions etc. Poppy escorted us to the room (thank you for the upgrade to a Junior Suite) which was beautifully presented with fabulous views of the pool and the sea. The room was tastefully furnished and extremely comfortable with double glazed doors to the balcony so extremely quiet. All requests to the room were handled efficiently with the staff always so willing to assist. As it was my birthday the following day we had dinner with friends then relaxed in the room with them and at midnight the doorbell rang and I was presented with a cake that y friend had arranged by Afli, Poppy and some staff...a great surprise and thank you to my friends and the staff. Breakfast on both days was great with a good selection of Ala Carte western and indonesian dishes, all of which were presented nicely and served hot and fresh. On my birthday the breakfast staff presented my with a cake and a rendition of happy birthday...again a great surprise so thank you to who arranged it and making me feel priviliged and valued. When returning to the room later there were had written birthday wishes from all of the staff on duty and a special candle made of towels. Dinner was at Above Eleven with Poppy escorting us to the restaurant, making sure we were relaxed and happy with the table and menu. The 3 courses were explained to us by Chef Eduardo who was excited to be cooking some Peruvian specialties for us and they were delicious with Eduardo adding some special touches to each dish once served to us. Dessert was served with a special message on the plate and a candle with the staff all singing happy birthday accompanied by a ukulele...how special did it make me feel. The next morning after breakfast we went to the Movenpick Cafe to purchase some goods to take home with us as they have a great range of pastries, cakes, specialty breads with novelty cheesecakes for halloween. We know how good they are as we have eaten there before and took some home last time. Thank you to all of the staff for making our stay so special and making me feel like a valued guest. Special thank you to Alfi and Poppy who were not only great ambassadors for the hotel but went above and beyond to make the couple off days special and forever remembered Also thank you to Agung, Micheal, Arif, Kiki, Edo, Putra, Dinesa, Chef Eduardo, Andika and the 2 room cleaners (sorry I forgot your names) who all had a part in this amazing stay. It was so nice too see all of the staff so happy and committed to there role in these difficult time so a big thank you to everyone and will see you all again soon.

Movenpick’s major location benefit has to be the next door Samasta Village, an open-spaced plaza with many restaurants and shops. The hotel itself maintains good facilities, services, and cleanliness. The breakfast is delicious with international and local varieties and follows a strict health protocol. There is also a Chocolate Hour every day from 4–5PM in the main breakfast area that serves free-flow chocolate treats, although beware of busy hours when the restocking can be pretty slow. As for the beach, it is a shame Movenpick doesn’t provide a private beach, but rather a public one where it is very crowded and uncomfortable during the weekends. There are 2 inconveniences that my family and I encountered during our 6 nights stay. First, our room card didn’t work on 2 separate occasions and we had to go to the front desk to fix it. The second one is pretty serious and dampened our holiday spirit sourly. As an Accor Privilege member, I received welcome drink vouchers that can be used on the rooftop bar. But on 31 December, our last night at the hotel, our vouchers are rejected because it is New Year’s Eve. There is no formal announcement anywhere, neither from their social media nor their staff about this regulation. Luckily, our protest was kindly accepted by the Guest Relation Manager, Pak Alfi, who solved the problem quickly and allowed us to use the vouchers. I would like to use this opportunity to thank Pak Alfi again for his efficient handling of this case. Overall, it had been a pleasant and refreshing stay at Movenpick Hotel.

As for the family hotel that were reviewed by the popular Indonesian celebrities. We hoped it is that good. We came with families. As for you who are willing to spend your money in here, i believe there’s a lot better hotels at their price rate.
The room: very standard, small beds, not well maintained, the bathroom has lots of stains here and there. Shower head were broken. And we got the room door battery problem which locked us out in the middle of the night with 2 kids.
The pool: they have 2 kids pool which are great! but, All the gazebos are unavailable if u’re not in a premium room. If you are in a standard room you have to pay more to rent it. I wish they note this kind of thing when we booked the room. We were so shocked as in our previous hotels theres no such rules. So there’s +++$$$$ again we have to pay. The staff who informed us has a very bad manner, ruin my last day of vacation!
The kids club: are limited to 4 hours per kids per day. Wish they inform about in on our bookings too. looks good at photos. But the real ones is a mess. Not enough staff to clean up and gather the toys again. Rooms pretty dark on the ball and trampoline area. Most of The staff were to busy at the front area informing people of the rules and the extra hours charges.
The chocolate fountain 4-5pm its just dipped chocolate with fruits and marshmallow. Presentation were bad and lots of flies hop on the food. And the staff did nothing.

Parking access door : We rented a car in bali which we has to park our car on the parking lot on the 3rd level. The access to the hotel to parking lot were closed at 7pm. The security were helpless. Looking at us back to the hotel carrying 2 sleeping kids with bags to carry and its 11.30pm! We’re exhausted & The security did not want to open the access door! He just said that we should walk all the way up to the lobby carrying all that! Wtf!
Overall.. not the place we would recommend. Too many unhappy feelings with this and that rules that were inconvinient on our vacations! The hotels were to busy making profit rather than focusing on the customer service. We believe with the this high rate. There’s a lot of hotels has better hospitality than in here.

After spending 2 nights in Le Meridien Jimbaran Bali, we moved to Movenpick Jimbaran Bali, which was located a stone's throw away (+/- 1 km) from Le Meridien Jimbaran Bali. Check-in was easy and efficient, and within 10 minutes upon our arrival, we entered our (junior suite) room (room # 2806; period of stay : Dec. 28~30, 2020).
Both me and my wife really loved our room so much once we were in it. We spent the first half an hour only to pay attention to many details in the room (we rarely did this unless we really fell in love with the room's design which we did in this case). We loved how the way they decorated the room, the color and its general layout.
Our room has an ocean view and it has a balcony where we both can sit back and relax while enjoying the view (we can do the same while dipping in the bathtub). They have a big pool which features an artificial beach area where we can spend the whole day relaxing by the pool. They also have complimentary shuttle that will take us to the Jimbaran Beach from the back of the hotel.
We tried this once (using the hotel's shuttle/buggy car) but we immediately gave up and returned back to the hotel right after right after we saw the crowd in the beach. They also have a Kid's club which can be accessed and used daily for 4 hours (our nephews had so much fun being there). In addition, they also offered complimentary chocolate hour in the afternoon which was pretty nice (Movenpick brand itself is well known of its restaurants, chocolate, coffee, ice creams and others).
Their breakfast was definitely the best one we had during our 9 days' trip to Bali this time. To our surprise, they even beat the breakfast quality served in Amarterra Villas Bali Nusa Dua.
Overall, we truly enjoyed our 2 nights' stay and in fact, this was the highlight of our stay : I would like to take the opportunity to extend my personal gratitude to Mr. Olivier, Mr. Adi Karang and Mr. Alfian to assist all of us prior to our stay. We even regretted to book only 2 nights as we truly loved everything about this hotel and its service. We even decide to return and stay back in this hotel next month.
Based on such excellent stay experience, I decide to give them a 5 stars' rating and I personally recommend this property to everyone who is looking for quality hotel accommodation during their future trips in Jimbaran/Bali area.

We went for a staycation on 3rd of August during this pandemic season in Bali, eventho we’ve been at movenpick before but still i was hesitate at the beginning so before decided to stay i asked for a healthy protocol and Mr.Tolha as an assistance front office manager explained very carefully about how they cleaned every room and area using the international standards of disinfectant.
And also they have an automatic body temparature check infront of the lobby.
As a mom with a high concern of healthy protocol i feel safe enough to stay at movenpick Bali Jimbaran.
But sadly the kids club that our kids looking for was closed at the momment. Because of that Mr.Tolha promise to give the kids access when the kids club open one day.
And not just that extra gesture, Thankfully eventho the kids was so disappointed because they cant played, Mr. Tolha gave us an upgrade to a junior suitee as a compliment. What a thoughtful and i can say its extra service that they gave to us even in this pandemic season. We are so grateful that we decided to keep staying over and over again there.
What can i say? After three times being there never once i feel dissapointed for the service.
You gotta love this family hotel with extra thoughtful service from all staff I guarantee.

The conclusion: we definitely will stay again at Movenpick since we love all the service and the quality of facilities there.
And since we live in Bali, i can say movenpick is still the best family hotel in here.

We are currently staying in a family loft room with our 4yo and 2yo. They love it here. The kids club and the activities are fantastic. Our kids don’t want to leave. There is a charge of 65000 idr once you exceed the 4hr limit, but the kids have so much fun that it’s worth it. The pool areas for the kids are great, with lots of shady areas to swim in as well. There’s a lovely sandy area that leads to the big pool as well. The food and service has great. Heading down to the beach is very easy and they also provide a beach pack with towels etc for you to take down. Once on the beach it’s a very easy walk over to the seafood market on the right hand side.
The massages at Arkipela spa is so good and they have great special deals as well.
The Samasta village has plenty of places to eat and you get discounts being a guest of movenpick which is great. Pictures are of our room, toddler pool area in front of kids club, spa, kids activities and the shuttle times down to the beach.
We want to give a big thank you to Mila (guest relations officer) and the team at Movenpick for handling everything in a timely manner for us. We haven’t left yet and already planning on our next trip back.

We stayed in a family room which are located on the same level as reception not close to the pool. The room was beautiful and comfortable for the family. Only issue is the loft stairs which are quite steep. There is a child safety gate at the top but kids old enough to open can obviously go up & down stairs. We did not spend much time in the room so suited us fine. Kids were very tired each night and fell asleep quickly on their own,?we had a rule that they were to call out as soon as they woke up to prevent them coming down on their own. The hotel facilities are wonderful. Big pool with a sand section (our favourite)waterslide which we didn't use as the pool was very shallow, access to the beach a few min walk away or by golf buggy if you wanted. The restaurants had great food, pool service a little slow but breakfast was amazing, everything was on offer. They also have a dedicated children station where they can help themselves including microwaves for parents. The kids club is quite large & we used it pretty much everyday for a few hours. They will also give children lunch or dinner if you pre purchase & advise a time. Do yourself a favour & get a table at above 11 which has wonderful sushi whilst the kids eat popcorn at the outdoor cinema. There is a supermarket outside, cafes, restaurants & shops. Eat at the hotel or eat out (so many places outside too) this place was truly wonderful.

We stayed here in Jan / Feb for 6 nights for my wife's 50th birthday based upon a recommendation from a friend and we weren't disappointed. Even though it was 'rainy' season we had 2 small showers during the night and the rest of the time it was around 30 degrees.
We stayed in a Junior Suite which featured a huge bed, large bathroom and balcony overlooking the pool. The room was very clean and comfortable with a cold box (not that cold) that was refilled each day.
The pool area was great, being low season there were plenty of loungers available and we found it very relaxing.
All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, after the first morning at breakfast, we were welcomed and our room number and coffee preferences remembered. There was a selection of foods from different regions available with great health shots each morning!
Having to do a little work whilst in Bali I found the wi-fi in the room and all around the hotel to be better than a lot of hotels I have stayed at in major cities around the world, which make working a lot easier.
Overall a very pleasant and relaxing holiday and I would recommend checking it out if you are planning to go to Bali.

We stayed here recently as a group of 2 couples. The resort is well set up to cater for everyone. Even though we didn't have kids with us, we could see that they would love this place. As a couple visiting without kids we loved the layout of the HUGE pool as the kids area seemed to be at each end while the swim up bar was in the middle and there tended not to be kids in this area that much. The cabanas by the pool were so worth it at $20 per day hire fee. Cocktails were also very nice.
The breakfast was probably one of the largest buffets we have seen and the food on offer was of good quality. Egg stations are a little slow at times. Lunch and dinner at this restaurant had plenty of options and was very good. The roof top bar was not open when we were there unfortunately due to being upgraded but looks to be very impressive.
We were initially very disappointed in our 'garden' view room (on the ground floor) as really there was no garden and we had a view of a cement wall. If you are getting a garden view room, request a higher floor to get a better view. We spoke to the manager and he upgraded us immediately to a pool view room. He was so understanding and accommodating. The rooms were spacious and the bed/pillows were very comfortable. House keeping was always consistent and of a high standard.
The location was quite good - not on the beach but only a very short walk plus they do provide a buggy to drive you there if needed. A few shops ups the road and some handy 'marts' nest to hotel for drinks and snacks. Jimbaran is a lot quieter than other areas like Seminyak or Cangu but great if you prefer this.
We had a luxury escapes deal and was definitely great value! We loved our stay here and will definitely be back to experience the rooftop bar!

Hi, I would advise reaching out to the travel agency you booked with to upgrade. Our package was based on half board (lunch or dinner) and we found eating in the hotel quite expensive. We were there between 9th March 2024 and 17th March 2024. So we used to go out for lunch as it is quite cheap if you were to eat out. Otherwise the hotel is great, staff are amazing. Wish you a happy stay.
