I was upgraded into one of their largest villa. I was greeted by very friendly staff at the reception and throughout my stay, the staff were attentive, thoughtful and friendly.

The villa was luxuriously decorated and the private pool was a decent size.

The breakfast was generous with fresh fruits, juice, gourmet coffee n the quality of the food was good.

The kitchen was simple and well equipped with the basics.

Overall experience was restful, rejuvenated n pleased.

This was a wonderful place to stay in Jimbaran, particularly for couples. Rooms are private and authentically Balinese, albeit getting a little older but they still maintain charm and cleanliness. Staff are excellent and always smiling and happy to oblige. We were upgraded to the 2 bedroom Villa. Gardens are so beautiful and kept immaculate. Pool areas are beautiful and clean. Food at the on-site restaurant was excellent, prices reasonable. If you don’t like a lot of stairs request rooms on upper levels. Daily housekeeping provided. Location is walking distance to Jimbaran beach however is going uphill on way back. Would highly recommend.

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at Gending Gedis. Our villa was luxurious in terms of decor, space and facilities. It included a tastefully decorated lounge room and spacious bedroom and bathroom upstairs with a large dining room, kitchen and private pool downstairs. The setting is tranquil and secluded, providing the perfect opportunity to relax on the sunbeds by the pool.
Other facilities included a beautiful 22 metre pool off the restaurant area and a luxurious Spa treatment with skilled therapists is also available.
The location is away from the busyness and traffic of other parts of Bali and is ideally situated just 15 minutes to the airport. Excellent restaurants are close by and Gending Gedis has its own restaurant and bar. The amazing Culture Park is close by, offering Balinese dance and performances.
If you want a relaxed haven in an elegant, secluded setting, I would highly recommend Gending Kedis. We loved our stay there!

Our room was exactly as we asked for quiet villa which overlooked the jungle. Service in dining room was a bit slow but worth the wait, only fault in this area was table clothes not changed after meals, had same stained table cloth for three days pointed this out but just got Balinese smile. All in all a perfect place for couples and the owner takes time out to come and have a chat. Would hesitate to return as Jimbaran not what we expected, no reflection on Gending Kedis resort. Be aware Jimbaran Bay Club tend to overcharge unless you question the bill.

Dear Tripadvisor Member, Thank you very much for your helpful and informative review, we have taken note accordingly. We are pleased that you enjoyed the peace and quiet of our location, in our Prinia 1-bedroom villas overlooking the rain-forest. It was my pleasure to have the chance to meet you during your stay. As a future option to Jimbaran you may like to consider our Kanishka Villas located in the lively Seminyak area of Bali. Take care and stay safe at this difficult time. Best wishes from me and all our team at GK Resorts. Douglas Wallace

We are currently still in our villa and check out tomorrow if it wasn’t for the fact that they said it was non refundable when we booked we probably would have left early. The staff are amazing I will not take that from them at all. The villas are very nice looking however inside is the surprise. We have been here going on 4 nights and every night it’s been something. We stayed in the largest villa the 4 bedroom. Looks like pictures however it’s a bit dated but still nice.

We have been greeted nightly with extra large tarantula size spiders which we had to call the staff to come and get. I stayed in the upstairs bedroom only to find spider eggs all over the room from the headboard to the drapes it literally creeped me out. I called them they came and did a clean but I wasn’t convinced that was enough so I slept in another bedroom with a friend for the rest of our stay. One of my friends had two large lizards in her room they had to come and catch them

They came and cleaned everyday but I still found a few patches of spider eggs and webs all over the place. They try their hardest to be accommodating but the issue is none of the doors actually close so outside unwanted guests can always creep into your room.

The pools are nice however there are ants lining the pool daily. It gets really dark outside at night and the villa could use more light or just needed more light bulbs

The place is definitely dated and could use a facelift
Overall 5/10 the villa is beautiful, the on-site restaurant is decent, the staff are friendly and accommodating but I can’t deal with spiders inside my room every night nor the lizards. I know they are trying to conserve energy however we really didn’t enjoy coming back to a steamy hot villa because they decide to cut off all the AC units when they clean and turn down the rooms

Location wise was okay. But that's it. The staff were not very helpful I guess, we checked in with 1 large and heavy duffle bag, the staff didn't offered any assistance with our luggage, showing our room through their long and far backyard? Rather than the main way through the lobby.
And found out that we've been upgraded to 2BR w/ Pool without confirming with us. It's kind of weird when the staff said that "But you can only use 1 room here" Meh.
The rug was dirty, the aircon was broken (still cold but there's a water dripping at night?), I had a trouble with the toilet bidet.
I think this is a very old building that need a huge renovation. Not very worth it with the money we spent.

Amazing place to stay. Bali styled villas with daily housekeeping, great breakfast and the serenity and privacy you want on holiday. They had large water dispenser in room which is great for stay and nice way to reduce plastic use. We utilised the gym and the onsite spa services. The employees of Gendin Kedis were always helpful and polite.

Stayed 6 nights in Villa 17. I will attempt to clarify previous reviews and answer what I found missing when I booked. The resort is definitely in need of updating/fixing though this didn’t take away from the charm. The villa was kept exceptionally clean by the always friendly staff and looks exactly as the website photos. The jungle view is breathtaking and the villa is huge. The stairs between the living and pool/bedroom areas are quite steep and may be problematic for some. The bathroom is large and the water pressure fantastic. There is also a small bedroom on the 1st floor with an additional toilet and shower. The beds are extremely comfortable.
Breakfast is the same boring menu every day- eggs to your liking, 1 piece of toast, with the tiniest piece of bacon, small slice of cooked tomatoes and a tiny piece of something potato. Also comes with mini croissant and a small danish each, a small plate of fruit, juice (not freshly squeezed, from a carton) and tea or coffee. There also 5 Indonesian dishes offered. The restaurant food is ok, nothing special stood out.The biggest issue we found was the distance to town/ Jimbaran beaches. Its not that far away but the road is too dangerous/busy to walk. Its also a very steep uphill walk back to the resort. Gojek cost appox. AUD $4 plus parking fee at night. There is a good supermarket ( Pepito) just around the corner from the resort we found had everything we needed.
Pro’s- very private villas, exceptional view, clean, full kitchen, chilled water cooler in villa, villa lap pool, wonderful staff.
Con’s- 82 steep stairs to get to the villa, breakfast menu, tv channels available.

This place is extremely dirty and rude Management .the bed sheets are smelly ! The kettle ,coffee machine , toaster , dispenser are old as hotel itself. They don’t have 10$ to buy a new kettle for 5* villa ! The chairs full of stains and marks even you can’t sit. Bathrobes has blood stains from previous guests. The bathroom is disgusting not yellow it is already orange color stain makes you vomit in this 5 star villa ! Check the photos before you book this place !
Paid for no show and second night checked in 10pm couldn’t sleep from dirtiness next day left this disgusting place !
The manager which is old as villa itself doesn’t know what is hospitality! After seeing all this dirty ,instead of an apology he is telling us you came to inspect the villa ! Of course if I’m staying 14 nights paying 6000$ almost I will need a new clean villa ! The securty was much politer than this old man !

Answer from Scotonthebeach

We have 2 types of one-bedroom villas with private pool: PRINIA villas with 2 levels, living room above, pool and bedroom lower floor. And also the NURI villa, with living room, bedroom and en-suite bathroom, swimming pool and balcony, all on the same level. Both types of villas are very private, with views across the rainforest. Please contact us for further assistance, best regards, Douglas Wallace

Sarong restaurant is a restaurant we visited whilst at Gending Kedis. This is a fine dining restaurant, one that you go to for a special occasion. It is rated amongst the top ten restaurants in Asia. We highly recommend it and it is also rated among the ten best Indian restaurants in Bali. Regards Ron.

#21 had air conditioning, but I’m not sure about all. The villa would need to respond about the 1 bedrooms being at the bottom of the stairs - I am not sure. #21 was one bedroom and at the bottom. Yes, you can have breakfast in the restaurant.

Can you walk to beach? Nearby restaurants?
Answer from Scotonthebeach
Jimbaran24 contributions11 helpful votes
Its a 10 minutes walk to the Jimbaran beach, however, we offer a shuttle service which takes 2 minutes. Restaurants nearby include the numerous seafood cafes on the beach; recently opened beside the new Movenpick Hotel is a selection of restaurants. A little further is the CUCA for tapas style cuisine, and at the AYANA and RIMBA there are several extremely good restaurants. At Gending Kedis you can enjoy home made PIZZAS from our new wood-fired Pizza oven. Bon Appetit! Regards, Scotonthebeach
