From the moment we eyed of the beautiful front door on the Sahaja website we knew this villa would be special and there would be more to come. So we took a chance and booked for 6 nights. Perfectly positioned far from the madding crowd yet only a 2 dollar ride from the main drags of Seminyak and eat street. Pleasantly surprised that it was just around the corner from Gusto gelato and indulged every afternoon!
The villas are tastefully decorated in modern Balinese style and the pool is big enough to lap and gets sun all day.
The villa bedrooms comprise of huge flat screen TVs and one in the living area. 3 in total! Huge bedrooms with air conditioning and beautiful spacious bathrooms, half of which is open air!! You can shower watching the moon!
There is a fully equipped Kitchen, but who wants to cook right...?. Your on holidays! If you don't feel like eating out just pick up the phone and dial zero and you will be taken straight to Baliepicure which is a catering service that will be at your door in no time at all with beautiful dishes at reasonable prices, they even set it all up for you.... You don't have to do a thing!
Continental breakfast is provided every morning which consists of toast, assorted fruit plate, juice, coffee & tea and croissants and Danishes, beautiful! The staff that work for the Villa serve and clean it all up at whichever time you request.
Gama who manages the villas is a really beautiful person who introduces himself and personally will look after anything you want. He even gave us a mobile phone to use for our stay to book resturants etc!!
Beautiful experience and loved every minute of it, was very sad to leave :(. Could of stayed way longer!
Overall great stay, you will not do any better in terms of value for money!
Some great resturant recommendations nearby:
-Sarong
-Tulip
-Zucchini cafe
-La Lucciola
-Potato head
-Gusto!!!!!

We stayed here for just two nights on a long weekend to Bali, wish wwe could have stayed longer!
The villas are new and just far enough from the madness to be able to breath yet only 5 minutes in the car from all the fabulous restaurants.
The design of the villas is very open for the living space which leads directly onto the good sized pool complete with a large day bed and sunlougers. The kitchen is well stocked with good crockery and glasssware, all match which is sometimes unusual in Bali!
The bedrooms are enclosed with good airconditioning, big very comfortable four poster beds with enormous soft pillows. The bathrooms are huge with indoor/outdoor showers and a big stone tub.
All the towels are top quality and plentiful.
We didnt take advantage of any dining in the villa but they did have various menus to choose from as well as the option of a private chef. There are also lots of takeaway delivery service menus, we chose just to drive to Petitgentet to enjoy the great restaurants Bali has to offer.
I would stay here again as it is close to all the action but also easy to access Canggu (surfing) and Tanah Lot etc without having to go back through the traffic.
Thanks to Gama for all his great help!

We have just returned from the most wonderful holiday in Bali. Villa Sahaja leaves you wanting for nothing. We arrived quite late at night and the security staff made sure we settled in and were comfortable.

Each morning we had female staff came in and cook us breakfast . These are the loveliest ladies. So welcoming and willing to help with whatever we needed.

There is a gardener that also comes in each morning so the lush and tropical gardens and the pool are always looking beautiful.

The villa is cleaned each day. And the best part is you dont need to lift a finger.

The manager Gama is so helpful. Nothing seems to be a problem. Whatever you ask is done immediately and it seems his ultimate goal is for you to enjoy your holiday.

I cant say enough about all the wonderful staff.

The Villa itself is amazing. So open, clean and inviting. The air conditioning is perfect to ensure a good nights sleep in the balmy weather. The beds are large and comfortable and all furnishings well maintained. The pool is so inviting for late night swims after a big day in beautiful Bali.

The open air showers are something else. Such a great feeling showering with the blue sky or moon above and the occasional frangipani floating down and landing at your feet. Magical!

It is less than a ten minute taxi ride to Seminyak. The security staff are always around and willing to order a taxi for you at a minutes notice - morning, noon or night. The fare is only about $3.50 AUD each way and believe me, worth every cent to be able to stay away from the hustle and bustle yet still be within easy reach of all the shopping and restaurants.

There is a Circle K (convenience store) within a minute walking distance which sells beer, soft drinks, ice creams and various snacks.

My suggestion is if you want a really relaxed holiday with a real Balinese vibe..... this is THE place to stay.

We loved the villa in the rice fields....close enough to Cangu & Seminyak yet just far enough to be away from the noise. The staff were amazing, so friendly, helpful and willing to make our stay the best ever.

We keep coming back for a reason! The location is just outside of the noisy Seminyak but only 2 min by bike and 5 by cub. The beaches brawa and Echo are just quick ride on a bike.
riding through the beautiful rice fields makes it even better. Villas are 2 saparareted units so great for 2 families or 2 couples. Outdoor showers and open plan living room are very well planned and the pool is just the right size! Stuff are extremely helpful and Ketut the driver is just what you need especially if it's your first time. Highly recommended

I recently stayed at Villa Sahaja's for a girls trip to celebrate a friends birthday. 7 of us occupied Villas 3 & 4 and overall our stay was fabulous. I cant say there were any "bad" points but here are the good, and a couple of average...
The Good
* The villas are spacious, with simple yet comfortable furnishings
* The pool and general upkeep of the villas is great, they were very clean and the pool never seemed to have leaves or other dirt in it.
* The location is good. There is a mini mart and a couple of great cafe's within walking distance. Make sure you check out Urban Spoon, who have fantastic coffee and pastries/sandwiches. They also deliver (we left menu's at the villa). Also check out Nook, its a bit further away but still walking distance and worth it for dinner. Hotel Umalas is good for cocktails but dont bother with the coffee.
* Taxis are generally $2-3AUD from Seminyak but your standard rate to anywhere is $5.
* Staff are all lovely and accommodating if there are any issues.
* Massages in the villas are $12AUD and as good as what you will get at Bodyworks, blissful and worth getting every single day!!
The Average
* Wifi. Its intermittent and you are better off using it at all of the cafe's or restaurants that provide it for free nearby.
* Breakfast. Its fine, just a little boring after a day or 2. Generally eggs, toast and a fruit plate.
* Coffee is instant, not sure why they dont provide plunger?
* Pillows. They are about 3 times thicker than they should be and all 7 of us found this an issue but just slept with the cushions instead.

Overall I loved Villas Sahaja and would recommend it to anyone looking to stay at Umalas.

We stayed for a week (husband two kids) and really enjoyed these villas . The layout is great bathrooms are awesome and open layout of the living areas is just perfect. We spent a great deal of time in the pool which which the kids especially loved. The location was pretty good ,in a fairly quite part of Umalas, close to minimarts ,laundrys massage places and a short cab or scooter ride into Seminyak or Kuta. The gardens are beautifully maintained every day by a lovely man and Gama the manager is very sweet and obliging. Some off the outdoor decking is in pretty bad shape ( we stayed villa 4) and needs urgent attention .I also thought the breakfast that came with our package was pretty average .The kids 8 and 13 were up at six swimming by the time the lovely ladies came and cooked it 8.30-9 they were starving we bought cereal and bread etc to tide them over, the breaky was also very basic and small. Perhaps a better idea would be to provide a selection of cereals eggs bacon fruit etc and you could make your own whenever you're ready .Other than that we had a great stay and I would recommend these Villas without the breakfast.

We stayed in a 2brm villa and i would not have changed a single thing. Nothing was too much trouble for Gama and his staff.. our every wish was their command. They even fulfilled our email request to have a cold case of beer and some soft drink in our fridge on arrival.
A short drive from Seminyak ($2 AUD) - Villa staff will order you a taxi at any time. Very efficient and very helpful.
There is a mini-mart about 50m up the road.
The villa itself is amazingly clean and well presented. I wish I lived there.
Now the pool.... AMAZING! There is no other way to describe it. I swam for at least 5 hours a day and at all times the pool was clean, and sparkling. Comfy daybed is by the pool and another on the rooftop, made for perfect relaxation.
Gama and his team should be very proud of Villa Sahaja. Their hard work and dedication will ensure I will be back. See you in September Gama :)

Stayed here recently with my partner and another couple and had an absolutely incredible week. Gamma (the manager) is lovely and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a delicious brekkie brought to our villa every morning and ordered dinner from the Sahaja menu twice, it was awesome food that seems to just appear from nowhere, delivered hot to your dinner table!

The villa is beautifully furnished with a full kitchen, flat screen tv's and beautiful decor. The private pool in each villa is also a huge plus and great to cool off in after a long day of shopping!
Villa Sahaja is out of the hustle and bustle of Seminyak and Kuta, but just a short cab ride to still go in for shopping, dinner or drinks every day/night.

All in all, a wonderful villa with excellent staff and facilities!
