Varanasi. A city sacred to Buddhist and Hindus. The cremation ghats and the lamp ceremony. I'm very glad that I visited the city early on this trip as I would not want to have been travel weary at Jukaso as it never afforded the at base comfort I would have preferred in a challenging city like Varanasi. One is welcomed...

We stopped in for a drink to escape the heat of the ghats, as we are prone to do on our travels. We asked to see a menu but the waiter didn't bring one. Eventually we got impatient and order two cans of soft drink and a masala chai. When we got the bill our eyes almost fell out of...

Arriving at the JG is special - from say a mile downstream on the Ganges your boatman from the hotel glides down the river & you are full of just having spent time at a top Delhi hotel & please we knew this would be rural....... So..... On arriving at the hotel ghat bags were offloaded... Reception is small with...

It's a nice small hotel ... a heritage haveli converted into a hotel. Done nicely. The staff is very friendly esp. Faizan the manager who really took care of almost everything there. Plz, arrange pick up from the hotel - if you book this, as one can only reach the hotel by boat. Secondly, since there is no bar license...

Great hotel and service, situated on the Bhomsale Ghat of the Ganges you could not ask for a better location. Staff that went out of their way to make it a memorable stay, great food as well. Great location to go wandering the narrow streets of the amazing Varanasi.

The hotel is right at the ghat and the first sight of it makes you happy. The hotel is a heritage property with very comfortable rooms and luckily we got the one with a small balcony on the third floor. As there is no road access our boat man was ready when we arrived at rajghat and took us throught...

We stayed for 3 nights and everything about the Hotel was great. The Location, the accommodation and the food. With a boat to pick us up at the start of our stay and to return us to our transport at the end of the stay. Within 10 minutes walk of the cremation sites and superb views from the roof top...

The good: Spectacular location next to Bhomsale Ghat. Beautiful building (from the outside) with a lovely courtyard on the 2nd/3rd floor and a rooftop restaurant. Nightly music in the common room, which makes the place incredibly atmospheric. There is no vehicle access near the hotel so the only way to reach with baggage is by boat from a ghat near...

A lovely hotel right on the Gatts. And within 10 minutes walk of the cremations area. A heritage building with nice bedrooms and a fairly decent restaurant. The building itself is very attractive, and they've done a good job restoring it. Recommended.
