If only we could have stayed longer. This was one of the most beautiful hotels we stayed in whilst travelling in India for a month. From a welcomed greeting by the manager and staff we were taken up to our room and we could not...More
This is a beautiful hotel, staffed by staff for whom nothing is too much trouble.we had a luxury tent, which was sumptuous. There is no downside to report - we enjoyed every moment. The restaurant served great food in great surroundings
We stayed at The Oberoi Amarvillas to enjoy the beautiful view it has of The Taj Mahal. Frankly, we were as mesmerized by the beauty of the hotel itself as we were by the view. Our stay was magical and relaxing, and the team @...More
A truly magical setting with views of the Taj Mahal from a wonderful hotel. The hotel is beautiful, the service is exactly the high quality you would expect from an Oberoi property in India. Exceedingly comfortable and I also appreciated their no tipping policy. If...More

Although the hotel doesn’t offer buffet style food, I believe the Restaurant is open to non guests. The hotel offers very good Indian cuisine in the evening with a local musician playing a traditional Indian stringed instrument (possibly a swarmandal) through dinner providing the perfect atmosphere. There is a good range of food to choose from including less spicy dishes. The hotel restaurant offers two fixed sittings for dinner in the evening which should booked in advance to avoid disappointment.
I’d advise arriving earlier to enjoy a pre-dinner drink and to take in the incredible view either inside or out on the terrace.
If your day tour, time wise, doesn’t allow for an evening meal, the hotel has a second restaurant which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is also a separate bar and lounge.
