We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel. The services are excellent. All staff make sure that when you leave this hotel you leave with a memory. Starting from check in to check out every thing was excellent. I would like to thank few people who who made our stay comfortable and memorable. Mr. Yadupati, Mr. Rajkumar Yadav, Mr. Shantanu Chakravarty (F&B Manager), Pawan from housekeeping, Subrata ji for telling us the story about Taj Mahal. We also enjoyed pottery making and Puppet show. Few more who made sure that we get good delicious foods and service. Mazhar, Vijay, Amit, Mahendra, Mandal, Sajad, Mandal, Jhonny, Vinay, chef Harish, chef Chetan. The best part was chef and f&b staff were coming to table and asking how we are, how is the food and hope we are enjoying the stay. People near pool were was very hospitable Akash and one sardar ji was there i forgot his name (trainees) they made sure that we enjoy our time in the pool. The hotel is so beautiful and staff is very hospitable. We will visit soon to enjoy your hospitality.

The Taj Hotel, Agra has come up very well in terms of welcoming guests during covid era. As soon as we reached, our all luggage was sanitized very delicately. Every staff was using mask all d time. Even the lift could be used by only 4 ppl at a time. Buffet breakfast was lavish and hotel staff left no stone unturned to make us happy and full. Even my picky kids had their special demands met by hotel staff without a hitch.
The interesting fact was, we found different menu for each day of our stay. I dont think I need not to mention much about rooms as they are always above expectations. Although point to notice here is that Taj Hotel is running with only 33% capacity of guests. That means they are not allowing many ppl so that proper social distancing can be maintained at every level. Rooms are sanitized properly and are kept vacant minimum 48 hr before guests arrival.
Automatic hand sanitizer machines at every few meters, were new to kids and they were so happy sanitizing their hand whenever we were passing by.

Taj mahal entry point is walkable from this hotel.

We felt so safe staying here. Precaution is the only way of living and enjoying life forward.

Family trip stayed for 3 nights and 4 days. Had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The breakfast and dinner buffets offer great variety and food is very well made. They also prepare customised dishes. The staff is very hospitable. Like to specially mention Shyam from housekeeping; Pooja and Jani at the restaurant and Chef Shailendra who made our stay so comfortable. They always served with a smile and ensured prompt service.
The hotel is close to Taj Mahal and the infinity pool offers a lovely view of the Taj Mahal
A few downsides - the hotel property is in the heart of the city and surrounded by houses and water tanks- not a great view. Took pool view rooms, however the view of the 2nd floor pool is nothing great and doesn’t justify the price differentials in the room rent.
There are no grounds/ gardens surrounding the hotel where one can take a walk.
The dining area when busy gets awfully noisy almost resembling a food court.
The staff also needs to be more vigilant in the buffets, as we came across kids and people touching food at the counters with their hands for eg kids were seen to pick up chocolate decoration on pastries; people were seen picking puris and bread with their hands- serious concern as hygiene is the top priority as on date.
Though the staff immediately changed the tray on being told of kids/adults touching the food.
Have stayed at Taj properties before and can say that the rooms fall short of the taj hotel standards and leave much to be desired.

I’m currently staying at Taj Agra and this has been our worst experience with a Taj property ever. We are a loyal Taj gold member, and we are shocked at the hospitality and level of service at the property. Our checkin process took us 7 hours in total. We had booked 6 and reached the hotel at 12pm, and we were not allotted rooms until 7pm. To make matters worse, the Air conditioner in 2 of the rooms did not work properly. We had to call them multiple times for hours to get an engineer to the room. The food is very average, and the service is extremely bad. In the night we called them twice to make the extra bed, nobody came. But what happened at breakfast next morning was beyond imagination. We asked for a bottle of water, they told us it is chargeable, we agreed to that and after 15 mins they gave us a Kinley water bottle which was unsealed and refilled with their regular tap water. When we confronted them for the misconduct, they refused to accept their mistake until we had to do a “water tasting” with them to make them realise their mistake. Mr Srikant (the manager during breakfast time) tasted the water himself and still in denial mode kept insisting that the water bottle given to us must have been “faulty”. He was still not ready to acknowledge the fact that the water tasted just like the tap water in the hotel and was refilled by one of his staff members. Absolutely ridiculous. Even the housekeeping service is not up to the mark, we asked for room cleaning service before going to breakfast, and it wasn’t done when we returned. This property does not feel like Taj at all. The ambience of the breakfast area (latitude) is below par. They also charged us to prepare infant food, which we have never experienced at any property before.

We were 2 families of 4 each. Got 3 rooms booked (a separate one the kids), thinking it won't be cramped. And it wasn't. But there were other issues -
1. The last thing I would've ever thought would go wrong in a Taj property was FOOD. Absolutely tasteless, below average food and on top of it, the spread was disappointing. Completely unbecoming of a Taj. Even the evergreen omlette (made on a live counter) didn't give any satisfaction at all. Something to be looked into.
2. The service is generally good in all Taj properties, but this one had some issues. We had requested for additional quilts and pillows in the room and cleaning of the bathroom (as the kids had taken a bath late in the evening and had made a bit of a mess). Yes, it was a bit late, around 11:15 at night. But we had to call the housekeeping 4 times in a span of 1 hour and 15 minutes to remind them of our request. It was eventually addressed, but only around 1 AM. I do understand it was quite late in the evening and if someone would've politely refused, we would've been ok with it. But to make us wait for such a long time and not turn up at all didn't look in very good taste.

That said, considering, we visited the hotel in covid times, there were quite a few services which weren't open to public, so can't really complain. But overall, the experience was extremely short of expectations.

Liked the hotel as it was my second stay here . I visited 2 years ago when it was under raddison blue brand. This time it was my anniversary so i thought to bool again but i felt little un satisfied with some service . I requested for some decoration and bouquet and cake for my anniversary which ghey approved on booking.com as complimentary but later they called my and said only cake will be complementary and decoration. Bouquet will be charged so i said no to bouquet and only cake and decoration ok . But there was no decoration and the cake which they given was just a pastry piece. Room dining has restricted menu and unsatisfactory for that price( compared with earlier raddison service) housekeeping was brilliant no doubt and staff also helpfull . Liked the guy Aaraw in morning breakfast . Room was great as before but need Maintanence .Overall hoped better from Brand like Taj hotel but find less satisfying from the same property as was before. Hope taj will not let them down in future as i am also hotelier working for 5 star brand in lucknow so every one can’t be happy but I believe they will sure take this as suggestions not as complain.
Thanks

We got here early in the morning about 9am so was offered a taj mahal view room for extra money for a early check in. As we had been up so early that morning and just wanted to get into a room we decided to treat ourselves and accepted. It was so not worth the money. There is a building being constructed at the back of the building and we could only see brick and a water drum, not the taj mahal. The room itself was clean and the beds very comfortable although the towels were not white but off colour, not what you would expect.
The rooftop pool area is fantastic. When i first got up there i was stunned by how beautiful it looked. We were there a week after the visas had stopped being issued due to the corona virus so the hotel was very quiet so not sure how busy the pool area would normally get but for us it was lovely and quiet.
All the staff were very polite and helpful at this hoteland also the taxi service from train station was very good.
We only ate in the buffet restaurant but found it very resonable with quite a good choice.

We were a bit hesitant to stay in a hotel during the pandemic and called in advance with a looong list of questions with regards to the safety precautions hotels are taking during the pandemic. They answered our questions sufficently and explained everythin in fine detail. They've reduced the capacity of guests they take, rotate room usage, added a number of disinfection stops throughout the hotel, closed the pool and gym, switched to digital menus, and removed anything else that are frequently touched by guests. While some guests didn't really follow some protocols to the letter, it was evident that their team tried their best to remind folks to do so. We felt very safe while staying there for 3 days.

The deluxe room was great-- it was quite spacious and very comfortable. The tub was a good size and we were pleased with everything else. The food in both the main restaurant and the roof deck were great! Their restaurant team was quite helpful and keen to assist.

Since they knew we were celebrating a birthday, the staff went above an beyond to make special arrangements that exceeded our expectations. We'd like to thank the people at the reception for assisting us in every way possible to make our stay comfortable. We're definitely coming back whenever we are in Agra.

I stayed at Taj for my birthday and it was a very wonderful stay indeed. Subroto made us very comfortable right from the time of check in and his show called Noor e Taj is a must watch. He is great at singing and loves to entertain with his wit and stage presence. He also arranged for a cake and balloons in my room for my birthday which was beautifully and thoughtfully set up by Deendayal. Deendayal also got more balloons in the evening after decorating in the afternoon. I must appreciate their genuine concern for the guest's happiness. Subroto also checked in with us from time to time to ensure we do not face any problem and guided for nearby market options.

We were also very well taken care of at the dining by Tulsi, Manish and Somvir ji. Tulsi is very warm courteous and friendly host and ensured that we have everything we need. He kept checking and provided prompt service of anything we requested. Manish is also very soft spoken and courteous and you can make out that he genuinely feels happy while serving his guests. He and Tulsi arranged for another birthday cake for me at dinner time which was a complete surprise for me and a great gesture. Thank you so much Manish and Tulsi. Somvirji also took great care of us by not only providing everything very quickly but also suggesting good places to eat and shop for petha nearby. His small gestures of arranging for cold water and a aluminium foil quickly will be remembered. Thanks Somvirji for your great service!

I will really remember my stay here because of these kind and gentle folks at the property.

Gaurav
