The location of SRTOHH on the top of a hillock provides the opportunity for enjoying bright sunshine on clear days. Tall pine trees add grandeur to the surroundings. Very well maintained by Madras Regiment of Indian Army. A great place to stay on a shoe string budget.

It's amazing heritage property right in the center of ooty. Best price good service n superb location. One can get 50 percent discount if he is from defence . I think this is the only hotel in ooty with so huge space. Best thing about this property is that it was holiday home of ratan tata and after his death...

Holiday Home is ideally located with nature's gift. A well maintained place with a staff geared for hospitality. Decently priced if you compare it with other hotels in the town, has a wide ranging' Military' menu with good service. Good ambience, a heritage building and nice track for a healthy morning walk through a small hilly stretch.

The ambience is really good and takes you into a bygone era of the early 1900s. The place exudes a rich heritage and the statehood of a bygone era. The place is also good for staying. Breakfast is provided, service is really good!

Colonial bungalow, sprawling property, nice ambience, the omnipresent Green factor with rose nursery and trees everywhere, friendly staff & the ever present old world charm-sums up the stay at RTOHH. Only meant for defence officers, managed by Madras Regimental Centre, Wellington,it's well maintained and Army really takes care of it with respect n sincerity.Try first floor room facing the road, food is average,...

This is a holiday home built by the famous Tata family and is now meant mainly for Defence Service Officers. It is located in the heart of the town and is in close proximity to most sites worth seeing in Ooty.
