Hotel is run down badly and needs a serious upgrade. For a heritage hotel, the upkeep was very poor, food quality needs to significant improvement. The occupancy of the hotel was very low, during my stay at the hotel( for Obvious reasons). The lawns did not have lighting to walk around in the evening and guests were advised not to... More

It's a grt place. Though bit expensive, but a grt option if u get a decent deal. Pros- Location - secluded property,,, quite, calm and serene. Ample space all around d palace. Structure - old palace, thus everything had an essence of royalty in it. Trust me when I say it feels grt to stay inside one. Rooms - huge... More

Overpriced and poorly maintained hotel. Rooms lack adequate heating, except one portable room heater/blower. Hot water available only 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the evening. Quality and choice of food needs a lot of improvement. The beautiful lawn does not have lights at night and it is pitch dark outside the lobby and cannot venture out... More

Property with heritage looks , old renovated Mini palace but need major facelift in terms of services and quality . Do not qualify to a star ambiance and with limited options of buffet menu plus no wifi in the rooms. Upside is the sprawling lawn and too silent a venue which is cut off totally . No valet parking and... More

This was an unplanned trip as a surprise to my family....The property is 160 years old, the old charisma is maintained beautifully with the teak wood furnishings and the wall carvings, and some 1000's of pictures all around. Spread across acres of land, this is a quiet, nice, and peaceful place to be. The hotel still works on paper in... More

I'm an ardent lover of Ooty and we keep visiting Ooty when we take a break from our regular mundane life. One of the times when I visited, we decided to stay at Ooty-Fern Hill and it was worth every bit of it. It is located uphill, hence, ensure that you reach this place by afternoon as it gets really dark... More

We had an opportunity to stay in Welcome Heritage Fernhills Palace during the middle of Aug,2016. Eventhough the stay was comfortable, the vegetarian food they had served totally lacked quality and taste.Being a vegetarian,we expect good quality food which is a must for visitors like us. To our dismay the breakfast and dinner they served were not at all having quality... More

I had read very good reviews about this place so decided to visit its restaurant with my wife. We reached there at around 11a.m. on Sunday. We asked about available dining options at the front desk. The chef present there rudely told us that there is no brunch available and we would get only tea or coffee. Then we went... More

I went to this place after 25 years. It was such a pleasure going back the same drive. The lovely forest trees, sunlight falling behind the manicured lawns, were just wonderful. It is like going back in time.

A stay in this palace will take you to the British colonial period as well as the royality of the Mysore kingdom. It is spread across around 50 acres and literally needs an hours walk to cover the whole area. The palace is wooden to the core and grandness can be seen in the pics displayed from the by gone...
