Great escape from the day to day hustle and bustle of India. The ranch is very peaceful and a perfect place to relax, read a book and enjoy the sunshine. Staff are very friendly and the food is amazing! We also did a day horse safari which was a good experience, you walk through 3 local villages and get some... More

As a total novice, this was a great place to jump on a very well trained horse. A lovely escape from the noise of the city into a beautifully run ranch. There are lots of well looked after animals here, the horses are very well trained and the ride a gentle and reassuring few hours around the surrounding countryside. This... More

Lovely 3 days spent at Krishna Ranch. Food was fabulous, lovely spacious room and beautiful quiet setting. We enjoyed walking and cycling through local villages talking to other guests and being greeted with a lovely smile from the cook. If you prefer peace and tranquility to the constant barrage of peeping horns you will love it here

Krishna Ranch was a great retreat and had lovely scenic views. Our room was spacious and our bathroom was nice but the beds were a bit hard. The trail ride was amazing and we got a great chance to look at the villages and farm lands. This ride would be good for experienced and non experienced riders but the horses... More

We decided to do something different when we arrived in Udaipur - horse riding in the country side sounded amazing. The owner was very flexible, we called the day before and were unsure since it was forecasted to rain. In the end we decided to go for it and we did not regret it. We got an amazing tour through... The safari was 30km riding each day. Helps to be a reasonable rider and with reasonable fitness. Fantastic horses and back up team, very comfortable sleeping in Indian tent. Delicious food, every need attended to and horses very well looked after.

our rooms were lovely, spacious and very clean. We were collected for free by a member of staff and from the get go all staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The food was delicious, freshly grown on-site and very generous portions made it good value for money. We did a horse trek which was great. Our group varied from... More

Contrary to popular belief that only foreign tourists prefer such destinations, I chose Krishna Ranch to stay for 2n/3d. From the enquiry to booking to stay to checkout and settlement, Krishna Ranch was an exemplary of hospitality. Dinesh and Francine have worked hard to make this place and it really shines through. The rooms are basic and yet airy and... More

A great experience here, but with the strong caveat that we would have liked the option to go on a longer ride! Dinesh doesn't offer anything between a £30 three hour ride and a £600 three day ride, such a shame when there must be a thriving market for those of us on a normal budget who could stretch to... Dear guest, Thank you so much for your kind review. We are very happy you liked our peaceful farm, our rooms, food and horse-care. Let me explain a bit why there is a rather large difference in price between a short few hours ride, starting from the ranch and the multi-day safaris: For the multi-day safaris there is quite a... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
DISCOVER RURAL INDIA! The Krishna Ranch is an excellent place for everyone who wants to get away from India's busy cities and discover rural India. The ranch is located at a very peaceful spot in the Arravali mountains, just 7 kilometers out of Udaipur city. The Krishna Ranch is not a typical resort, but a living farm with 14 beautiful Marwari horses, many other animals and lush fields with a variety of crops. The cottages at the ranch are clean and spacious, nicely decorated with regional handicrafts. We serve excellent vegetarian meals, mostly prepared from vegetables grown at our ecological farm. The ranch is a great starting point for short walks and bicycle rides to the surrounding villages. We will provide a simple map of the area and packed lunches for a pick-nick on the way are available. Guided treks to the remote parts of the Arravali-mountains are also possible. The beautiful and peaceful ranch is of course also a place to just sit back and relax. There is a small library with books and games. Roomrates include breakfast and pick up from Udaipu-city at the start of your stay and drop off at the end of your stay. The main activity organized by Krishna Ranch are professionally guided horse-safaris through the beautiful Arravali mountain-range. There are possibilities for everyone: from beginners to experienced riders, from 2,5 hours to 10 days! Of course all our horses and other animals are very well looked after by us and our dedicated staff. Note that rides/guided hikes need to be booked in advance. ... more   less
