The Ummed Jodhpur, Palace Resort and Spa boasts an elegant and regal vibe that captivates guests with its sophisticated decor, live music, and stunning gardens. While the hotel's food and staff receive commendations for their quality and attentiveness, opinions on value vary due to service inconsistencies. The rooms offer breathtaking views and ample space, yet some travelers have reported maintenance and cleanliness concerns.
Nestled in a picturesque location, the hotel's remoteness may be inconvenient for those wishing to explore the city. Overall, guests enjoy the cleanliness of the hotel but suggest enhancements in housekeeping.

The Ummed Jodhpur Palace Resort and Spa captivates many guests with its royal ambiance and elegant atmosphere, complemented by live music and heritage aesthetics. While the majestic amenities generally receive high marks for cleanliness and spaciousness, a number of visitors have encountered service and maintenance issues. The property's location is noted for its scenic beauty, although its remoteness from urban conveniences draws mixed feelings.
Room experiences vary, with commendations for cleanliness and views, but some criticisms regarding upkeep and dated decor. Despite mixed reviews on value, the attentive staff and cultural charm often leave a lasting impression.

Pros It was excellent maintaining high standards of the hotel. We were offered Ala Carte service as there was less customers for them to have a buffet at the Dinner. Although there was a decent spread of options for Breakfast Buffet, but there was repitative menu but the taste was all good. They even were quite genours to offer some food items which were not even in the menu, courtesy Mr Dayal Singh ji he was quite genours with his services in the food department during our stay. The views of the room are very good and if you are lucky enough you will find some peacocks find and peahens alongside your room also some horses grazing around in the evening or morning. The property is well maintained and taken care of.
Cons The Central AC in the Sir P restuarant is not functioning and the split Acs there are less affective. The Tv in rooms are Okish but had some Dth issues which were resolved, but took a lot of time. The Wifi during our checkin was good enough but went unavailable in the between of our stay with them. One of our room had jet spray drainage issues as well due to which water accumulated but that was still repaired and cleaned with quite responsiveness. The washroom inside is designed to provide a traditional experience, Although some things like the taps are old styled and needs to be upgraded with time and also proper instructions are needed to be given to use them as it's a bit different to operate them. The floor rug/ mat smells very bad it is all the time smelling like a shoe rack and it doesn't go even if they use some air fresheners that creates a bad taste to this property having such exquisite looks. Also a shaded parking is a must in summers the temperature is 35-45°C and the car is quite heated which makes it impossible to seat in side.
In all I would give the property 5 stars for its views, location, food taste, hospitality. But theres quite a need for them to maintain thier rugs trust me its bad. Maintaining their in room amenities should be there.

We booked Ummed Jodhpur Hotel & Resort for our stay from 30th Dec'24 to 1st Jan'25. At the time of booking, they made it mandatory to pay for the New Year's Eve event, which cost around ₹4500 per person. This package didn't make sense to me, as my wife doesn't eat much outside food. Still, we went ahead with it, which was quite frustrating.
When we reached the venue on the afternoon today 30th Dec'24 there was no one to assist with parking. When we asked about the parking facility, the staff told us to park the vehicle ourselves, and the parking area was quite far from the main entrance.
During check-in, they allotted us a twin-bed room, which was shocking as we had specifically requested a king-bed room. When we raised the issue, the staff initially told us that a king-bed room was not possible because the entire property was sold out. After arguing for an hour, they suddenly managed to find a king-bed room that they had earlier claimed was unavailable. When we were finally shifted to the king-bed room, it turned out to be the worst room. It was shabby, the room was untidy, and the view was terrible (image attached). It seemed like they had given us the worst inventory they had. Now we requested to shift back to the previous twin-bed room as it was more hygienic and clean for my child, and we decided to adjust with the twin-bed option.
It’s ironic that we pay such high tariffs at expensive hotels but, as guests, we still have to adjust

I recently stayed at The Umed and had a fantastic experience! The hotel is very clean and well-maintained, with a great attention to hygiene. The highlight of my stay was the exceptional service provided by the housekeeping team, led by Mr. Sunil. They were incredibly attentive to every detail and always ensured that my room was spotless and comfortable. Their hard work and dedication truly made my stay enjoyable. I highly recommend The Umed and would like to extend my sincere thanks to Mr. Sunil and his team for their outstanding service.

Positives: located over a large parcel of land up close with nature and animals, kid friendly as they enjoyed spending time at the cow farm and horse stables, food ordered a-la-carte was good, front office staff was courteous.
Negatives: the hallways had a strange damp smell, washrooms need maintenance, shower curtains were stained, toilets need deep cleaning, bed sheets were torn and not maintained, lighting in the room was dull. Housekeeping staff unknowingly barged into the room to clean up as we were preparing to check-out - it was a very unpleasant experience. The staff can wait to clean up until the guest departs the hotel especially when it is an off-season and the hotel had lower occupancy. Kids had a great time feeding cows and horses but the Farm maintenance staff demanded money as tips. Unfortunately I didn’t have a wallet so I was ridiculously offered a gpay number. It was a damper to the whole experience.

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback regarding your recent stay at our resort. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the natural surroundings and that your children had a wonderful time interacting with the animals on our property. It is always gratifying to know when our guests appreciate the kid-friendly aspects of our facilities. However, we sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you encountered during your visit. Your observations regarding the damp smell in the hallways, maintenance issues in the washrooms, and cleanliness of bed linens are concerning and will be addressed promptly with our housekeeping team. We strive to maintain high standards throughout our property, and it appears we fell short in these areas during your stay. We also regret that our housekeeping staff entered your room prematurely while you were preparing to check out. This is not reflective of our usual practices, and we will reinforce proper protocols with our team to ensure this does not happen again in the future. Additionally, we understand how uncomfortable it must have been for you when asked for tips by farm maintenance staff. We appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention; it is important for us that all interactions enhance rather than detract from our guests' experiences. Your feedback is invaluable as it helps us improve both service quality and guest satisfaction. We hope you'll consider giving us another opportunity in the future so we can provide a more seamless experience. Thank you once again for sharing your thoughts.

Pure sense of luxury is what can be experienced the moment you enter the very unpredictable path that leads to this magnificent place. The roads leading to the resort seem quite misleading as the entry gate is kind of squeezed in between a typical city lane with shanty shops and traffic. Had we not understood the directions from one of the reps at Ummed, we would have easily ignored the entry gate as a part of the series of small business stores on either side. But once inside, there is a sudden contrast of landscape, serenity and immaculate setup. Since we reached the place during late evening hours, it was already dark and there were some wedding proceedings taking place supposedly in some other resort within the same compound and we could feel the vibes of the luxurious event with LEDs and faint music soaking the place further with a feel-good ambiance. The reception at The Ummed was equally warm for us and so was the check-in process and the dining options. The palatial property retains the essence of its history while providing all modern amenities to excellence. The lawns are well-maintained and house numerous varieties of birds which makes the mornings and evenings more eventful. Each section of the property has a special charm and one can just be at this place if peace and nature are something they enjoy! The food served at most occasions was comparable too... it was quite a surprise for us when we were catered to with customized meals as well although they were running a buffet dinner! Such kind of hospitality is worthy of appreciation! We sure did enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stopover at The Ummed Jodhpur and would recommend the place for all travellers without an inch of doubt.

We had a rather unpalatable experience when the server brought soiled cutlery at our table and laid it out at our table with a big bang, not even wrapped properly. He then tried to remove the soiled spoon leaving the rest of them there only! For dinner, I was served Fish Tikka. They used a very soft oily fish instead of a fleshy one and so tikka lacked any taste or structure and was soft as if steamed. On being questioned, the server told me,”Sea food is always soft!” So if you are planning to stay here, just enjoy the horses and peacocks along with great housekeeping but do not eat in their restaurant Char Bagh! Not worthy!

This place is terrible, do not bother spending the money or time staying here. They didn’t have our rooms ready until 4 hours later, my bedsheets and pillow had stains on them, they tried overcharging us and saying we ordered room service when we did not. The food was mediocre and the service was TERRIBLE!
