I'm a published travel writer and I rarely write reviews for public websites. But I have to make an exception for Garh Jaisal. It's perfectly situated and beautiful (each room sumptuously decorated in a different color, fantastic views from the rooms and the excellent rooftop restaurant). Often in India you have to choose between ancient charm and modern efficiency, but...

Such a lovely and magical little place. The best part of the hotel is the staff team and manager . They are so giving and so generous , always willing to offer tea and food. Staying at Garh Jaisal Haveli has so far been the best experience. The first view of the fort as you enter the city mesmerizes you, and to top it all, knowing that you have a room inside that fort with the best possible view of the city beneath you is heaven. Mr Tarun was really kind enough to welcome us...

The staff here are fantastic and will do anything for you, including whizzing you around on the back of a motorbike for free to find an ATM, or providing you a shower and room to change free of charge after checking out after a trip in the desert. Truly wonderful service. The place is beautiful, tucked away in a bastion...

Room: For someone wanting to live out their Arabian Nights fantasy, staying in a medieval fort in the middle of the desert, this hotel was right on the money. I stayed in the Blue Sky room which had a seated indoor balcony looking eastwards over the city - great for sunrise photos. The toilet and bathroom in the attached room...

Spent 2 nights in this delightful boutique hotel located in the walls of the 11th century old Fort in Jaisalmer. Rooms individually themed. We were in Blue room. Very stylish and atmospheric. Very small bathroom - but perfectly adequate. Wonderful service from staff, free tea and coffee - or even better the ginger and lime tea with honey. Rooftop terrace...

Nestled in the corner of the fort wall, you can take a rickshaw from the entrance to the fort area. The rooms are on the first floor, and the roof area has amazing views of the desert around. The rooms are named by colours, and all have views out of the city. Breakfast is all to order, one of the...

We stayed in this hotel from December 9th. I must say, the experience was awesome. Right from the room, and it's awesome view of the fort and the city below. The best part of the hotel is it's terrace where you can hangout, order a cup of coffee or a beer and enjoy the sights. The personal touch of the hotel...
