Stayed for 3 nights with family. The first impression as we reached via a narrow lane was not so favorable. Hotel was at end of lane with marshy land in the back and road leading to hotel is not so good. Parking area is also not paved. We had booked Premium Rooms and for on 2nd floor. Rooms were huge, clean and comfortable. Bathroom was also large and very clean. Rooms and hotel were tastefully made and decorated. Hotel is owned and run by a young guy Maru and his brothers who have an excellent sense of hospitality. The location grew on us during our stay and it wasn't an issue, in fact we preferred it over being in a crowded area. It was also close to the old city and we could get auto rickshaw to go to the city as it was not preferable to take our own car in the narrow lanes of Jaisalmer. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and our interactions with Maru. Breakfast was included but due to it being a small hotel they prepared as per order and it took some time. Choice is limited but good was fresh and tasty. We ended up having dinners at the hotel only and though it took some time it was fresh and we enjoyed it. Hotel is reasonably priced, close to the city, comfortable, clean and all the staff is polite and helpful. It doesn't have a lobby or swimming pool and we didn't need that as we weren't in hotel most of the time. Highly recommended.

Hotel's Favourite
From the moment I spoke to Maru (owner) on the phone and asked about the room availability, I knew I would love this place. The room is comfortable and clean, the food at the restaurant is super lovely (I enjoyed the Indian food and my daughters enjoyed the western style options). But what makes this hotel a favourite is by dar the staff and Maru at the top, orchestrating a tight ship and always happy to help and do all that he can to make your stay an awesome one. Maru tailor-made a mini camel safari for us which was perfect for our needs and sent us there in the hotel's car which was comfortable, clean and the driver so so friendly. The hotel also works closely with Ali the tuk tuk guy (Ali Tuk Tuk Services Jaisalmer) and he's one of the nicest rickshaw drivers we took so far! So if you're in Jaisalmer and looking for a fab place to stay - Hotel Helsinki House has got to be your number 1 choice!

We spent three nights at the Hotel Helsinki House recently and had a memorable stay there. The location, the food, the staff, the rooms -everything was perfect and we could not have asked for more. It felt like being spoilt at Home. So much thought has gone into the decor and the property is truly more than value for money. Maru, his brother Ramzaan and the rest of the staff really took care of us and we cannot thank them or praise them enough. We came to a Boutique Hotel and left having acquired a family.

The hospitality, rooms and interiors, food, everything is top notch. The place is situated right off the main road few hundred metres in. It has perfect view of the fort from the rooftop restaurant and that's a sight to behold both in the day and night when the fort is illuminated to all its glory. Definitely a must place to stay and chill while you take incursions into the city at your own pace.
