It's in market area. The fort is walking distance here. You can see fort on the roof top.The room, staff and service is good. They also arrang desert safari and tent stay at Sam Sand Dune. For family the family suit room is best. Overall good experience.

Extremely dirty rooms, bathroom, bedsheets, towel.
Dining area created at tesserae with only 2 tables and few chairs. No need to say they were quite dirty. So we avoid breakfast and work out other options in the city.
No parking area.
Wifi, refrigerator and many other services mentioned in the property description were missing

We booked this because it was rated number 5. No way is it that good. We booked the deluxe ac room. The dearest type they had. Our first room was so noisy. The air con sounded like a jet engine, when on the lowest setting. There are gaps to the outside around the ac unit. The dogs outside the hotel bark all night. The road is super busy. Entire window panes were missing in the bathroom. You had to shower with the light off unless you wanted to give the diners across the road a show. No curtain. The wifi only works in reception. English-only speaking tourists should stay elsewhere. The breakfast was confusing as to what is included with the room or not. Indian guests were having Indian food, yet all we were offered was omelette and toast. Again, the language barrier. Not their fault, just english speakers will struggle here. The breakfast was awful anyway. One bite was enough. The omelette was so salty and rubbery. Day two I refused the omelette and it seemed I could only have toast then. The toast was just bread. The coffee comes pre sugared. Way too much sugar made it so sweet it was foul. We were moved to a back room on request, which was better but for that kind of money you expect better. Overall we paid far more once booked than the searched price on TripAdvisor showed and it wasn't worth anywhere near it.

They gave us a second room to us for less rate rather than the standard added bed.
We spent three wonderful nights at sohandeep in Jaisalmer. In first when my friend recomended this hotel i thought it is named on owner's name but i was wrong.
Owner of this hotel is very humble and friendly nature man so i enjoyed his compony and his knowledge about jaisalmer and rajasthan is batter then a profectional guide.
I would strongly recommend this place to other travellers
The place is beautiful with clean rooms and the restaurant is not much good but food service is good.
The place had been recommeded to us by a close friend and we were not disappointed.
They gave us a second room to us for less rate rather than the standard added bed.
The manager took us around and handled our significant number of requests in a
friendly positive and prompt manner.
I would strongly recommend this place to other travellers

Had read great reviews but must say it was still better than expected! After long car journey warm greeting from owner-Chai and chat about our trip while bags carried efficiently up to room. We had beautifully furnished spacious room with great views. Got to say the mattress was great- bed linen crisp white sheets! Truly a pleasant surprise out in the desert! The hotel has a rooftop which was a highlight- sitting under the stars with what's got to be the best view of the fort all lit up at night- absolute wow factor. And it was friendly- guests mingled swapping places to go. It really was a haven in what has been a busy holiday. Can't recommend this place highly enough- one of those special times we feel lucky to have happened upon. Thank you to Virendra singh and staff who effortlessly always seemed to be there for all our questions!
Sohan Deep we hope we will be back sometime.

The rooms, service and location are amazing here, with the roof terrace having superb views of the castle and the hotel being a two minute walk/short tuk-tuk ride to the fort area.

The free water was invaluable, the rooms were very comfortable and the people were incredibly friendly. It was a bonus not to be in the very touristy fort area itself, in what is a fascinating town.

Had only one night's stay in June 2013. The hotel was still under construction and it was off season, so it could have used a thorough sweeping. But because it was under construction and off season, we good a nice discount on our rooms. Since they are still getting organized, I didn't let the dust bother me. Rooms are large and comfortable. It is conveniently located on Fort Road, very near to the fort entrance. There are several restaurants right across the street. I would stay here again.
