We visited in winter time, hot water was problem. They brought us several buckets of hot water. Excellent service and delicious food. Good view of sunset after camel riding in desert. We appreciated the boss' kindness to arrange sightseeing by his jeep. He also drove us to the bus terminal which was quite a long way.

This desert camp was altogether a pleasant place. It was very basic tents - but they supplied fans and comfortable bed. The camel riding was SO much fun and the dancing entertainment was enjoyable - only a bit too long. Altogether it was a nice stay.

Right at the onset I should state that I was booked into Royal Desert Safari Camp (RDS) or maybe it was an annex property by an agent who was apparently upgrading me from another luxury tented camp , and that I had not directly booked with RDS. I have always been wary of travel agents offering me upgrades, which is...

This resort / camp is located off the Sam Road extremely close to the Sam dunes. It caters for excellent tented accommodation and has a neat package for both the resident/non-resident tourists. I've been given to understand that many Resorts / Camps provide the same facilities in the near vicinity. However, we visited the RDS Camp and had a wonderful...

It was something I was looking for in our trip to Rajasthan--- the taste of a local life. That's exactly what we got at this place. The tents in the midst of the desert --- the animals like deer, neelgai etc that can be seen in the adjacent greenary. The food that was served was a local one (even many...

The Royal Desert safari, in the Thar desert off Jaisalmer is a fine tented accommodation. The tents are quite spacious and well-equipped. The location could however be better - closer to the dunes. The cultural programme and food are excellent and the staff very helpful. A fairly good option to experience life of the Indian desert.

We were 4 friends stayed here for 1 night. There was a great cultural performance(folk music and dance). They made great food but it wasn't spicy at all. Tents were luxurious with all the facilities that you would except from a hotel except air con. Service was awesome

We stayed there for one night with our kids. The best thing was upon entering we were upgraded to super deluxe tent as there were no other guests that day in the entire resort as it was just the beginning of the season. The staffs were great and a true reflection of hospitality of Rajasthan. The evening folk dance and...

We stayed 2 nights at the luxury desert tented camp. Booked 6 months in advance….The place is lovely. We had the all inclusive in package and this enabled us to have a long jeep ride and a long camel ride, both of which showed us village life and the natural surroundings in a highly individualised way. ……..All the staffs were...
