Tokyo Palace is 100/100 and you should not think of any other stay if you find availability it this hotel. Why:-

It has got a variety of rooms- dormatitory & standard and deluxe rooms for families to fit all budgets
The hotel is very neat and clean, whole property is spic and span
The design and infrastructure of the hotel is extremely beautiful- it is inspired by the Jaisalmer fort, very heritage look
It is very close to the fort and offers an amazing view from the rooftop restaurant.
They provide free pick up & drop services from railway station and bus stand
Amazing service, special mention to Shakil for his ever so present to serve attitude. They made dal bati churma especially for me because I wanted to taste it & it was mind blowing not only how it tasted but also how they had set the table for me. The hotel staff will go to any lengths to make you the best food and serve you the way you want and they will make sure you are comfortable until you say good bye to Jaisalmer

Being a female solo traveller, my recommendation covers every aspect of a safe and happy stay. They make you feel respected as a guest.

It’s a nice hotel. Location is good. Well connected. They provide free pick up from the railway station if you inform them in advance. Rooms were specious and well maintained. Staffs were well mannered and helpful. Food was tasty though it was spicy. The roof top restaurant was fantastic with a clear view of the fort. They don’t allow to take food in the room. You have to get to the roof top restaurant for food. They prepare your food after you order. So it’s advisable to order any kind of food in advance may be 30mins prior to your food time. Breakfast menu is not very elaborate. Limited choice but tasty. I did not use the pool so cannot comment. The travel desk persons were very helpful and the rates were reasonable too. Over all it was a nice experience. I will surely stay there again.

Hotel is located near fort but the facilities are not good. As compared to price charged, the facility is not good. At the time of booking various amenities in the room was shown but actually it was not present. Every time we had to ask reception to provide the required necessities like tea, coffee, coffee maker, etc. Swimming pool is not running and it was not disclosed at the time of booking. Better book another hotel if the tariff is same.

We are here for our second night as a family of four with two rooms booked. The beds are good, the rooms are huge, and if it was hot the aircon and pool would be a bonus. The staff are very happy to help in any way they can, very warm. The rooftop restaurant is great. All the curries, naans, rotis made to order from scratch, all tasty and causing no upset tummies.

The staff were brilliant the room was nice good location to see and do what we wanted food was good except for one occasion my girlfriend was sick! (don't know if that was the food) The restaurant didn't like us paying after our meals they kept saying pay tomorrow (one of the days we paid and they tried to get us to pay again!) This is why was a traveler I'd sooner pay as I eat or buy. Do not have your clothes washed here its super expensive its cheaper in England! we got charged 30 rupees for a pair of knickers each! 30 rupees for 1 sock we got washed it was a joke £6.20 gbp for 1kg of washing. Next one of the trips we did was very expensive! We paid to go on the temple tour this was 8000 rupees for us both for the day with a basic chicken meal (We had to pay all entry tickets to the temples) This was maybe an extra 1000 Rs! We also asked if we could add on the desert safari all other hotels you pay the driver and the car for the day this one we had to pay again another 2500 Rs! 500 extra for 1 quad ride we did manage to get a paragliding from the back of a jeep each free but they wasnt going to do! So 12000 Rs thats our most expensive day in India! And to think we have done wildlife safaris hmmm but as a traveller I like honest reviews the room was okay id have preferred a balcony yo wash my own clothes and dry them.

What an amazing and friendly staff! We only stayed one night but the manager told us we could keep our luggage in the hotel, do our seperate desert safari (not linked to the hotel) and afterwards (next day) we could take a free shower. So friendly. We couldn’t believe it. Would certainly recommend for people who stay a night or two in Jaisalmer and want to combine it with a safari.

All I can say this is one of the best hotel you can find in Jaisalmer and the staff is really really helpful the view of fort from the terrace cafe is like a huge Canvas in your background. End the plus point is there is an swimming pool in the hotel next to the lobby where you can relax and chill when there is a temperature of 40 or 45 degree. I'll suggest you to book these Hotel directly from the hotel contact number rather than other website which will ask around 10 to 20% more for the tariff as their commissions so it's suitable to book hotel directly from the reception by which we can give you and extra discount at their price all over again I am going to mention this that there staff is really good and very friendly and helpful whenever you visit here just ask for Shakeel he will be your guide driver and a friend which will help you and every case either it's for food travelor some question about Jaisalmer. I visited here on the 28th of July 2022

My family and I stayed at hotel Tokyo palace end July/beginning august 22 and had the most amazing time!!! The staff were so accommodating and kind and made us feel like one of the family! Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was perfect, the rooftop restaurant served the most amazing food to go with the exquisite views. Jaisalmer itself is absolutely beautiful and we could not have wished to stay anywhere better while we were there. One day the swimming pool had to be cleaned and the staff took us to another hotel so my son could cool off in their pool; and we also did a canal safari trip with the hotel which was the most amazing thing any of us have ever done!!! A stay here is highly recommended!!!!

This hotel appears Rustic but I will specially recommend for Jaisalmer stay. It gives an amazing Jaisalmer Golden Fort feel.

The checkin was smooth. The front desk was really good and following up and checking our arrival and keeping the rooms ready. Even helped in printouts.

The rooms were ornate, Rajasthani style lit up with lamps like light.

Restroom was OK. Not great but functional.

The real icing was the rooftop restaurant. We had gone in December last week and the rooftop restaurant did justice to the dhaba feel with cots and wooden planks for eating. The view of the Jaisalmer fort behind and lit up at night gives an amazing feel of romanticism.
The food was yummy-licious. I mean it was outright delicious. Nans, butter kulchas, butter chicken, sweets - Ghevar Rabri & Dilkushar, kadhai paneer, soups, everything. Even omelette's and desi tea were lip smacking What a restaurant, location and ambience esp night. Wow. And they called in quwwals - local artist also in evening.

The hotel is a short tuk tuk or taxi drive away from station. Tokyo Palace will pick you up for free if you let them know what time you arrive. The safari was fantastic and great value. We stayed overnight in the desert which I would highly recommend but you can return same day if you want to. It was one of the highlights of our trip and all staff were fantastic. Enjoy your trip
