I've spent two days in Jaisalmer, one night of which in the Royale hotel. The premises are wide and comfortable, and they also have a nice terrace facing the fort. It is located outside the fort, which is in a walkable distance. It's perfect to avoid the chaos of the narrow hallways inside the fort. On top of all of this, Bohan the host is the most kind and helpful person you can ever wish. I was solo travelling and he took good care of me, helping me stay safe and also giving me very good advices on the best place to visit in the city. I would definitely go back to his place when I'm around again!

Very friendly hotel staff, the beds were very comfy. We had a camel safari booked through this hotel which was amazing, it included dinner and breakfast, a camel safari into the desert for the sunset and a nights stay under the start. Our experience was 10/10, the hotel has a cute hotel dog too :)

Big spacious rooms with AC and clean! I cannot speak highly enough of the hospitality and kindess of the owners of this business. I had a difficult situation when I arrived in Jaislamer and I phoned for assistance and I was picked up 40km away and brought here, to be treated like family and with so mich respect. Please stay at this hotel, the owners deserve your business, they are amazing people. Forever grateful I contacted them!

Stayed two nights in two different rooms.
When we arrived our room was not even cleaned even though theres been lots of employees sitting around and doing nothing.
Both rooms we were given were not really clean, sheets stained and even too small for the pillows, even the walls and floor have been dirty. Had a room for three and the third person had to sleep in a short and really uncomfortable spare bed.
Worst of all is the bathroom with no windows and therefore smelly already when we moved in. Theres no shower curtain and you'll wet everything while showering.
The electricity went off every ten minutes and therefore we had to shower with cold water the first day.
We didn't go into the pool as the waters been so dirty.
Everytime we told them which time we gonna leave in the morning but still we had to wake up the staff to get out. On the last day we booked a drop off and checked in the evening before but next morning no one was there and we had to wait again.
Would not stay here again!

Good things:
close to the fort in walking distance and even to the lake
restaurants around (cafe diner)
Possibility to leave the luggage at reception when u go on a safari
Staff were always friendly but really badly organised.

We arrived having made a reservation, the reception appeared to be confused. We were given a room that was dark and dirty with musty smelling bathroom. Sheets were not clean. We changed rooms. Still dirty and lights/plugs not working. Bed collapsed so changed rooms again. There was a drain running under our floor, could hear water running and also inspection hatch in the room. The hotel needs redecorating and updating. Better hotels by far in area. Relocated for the rest of our stay.

Good stay, friendly staff. Mr Pushpendra arranged the entire stay and trip for us. Hotel staff helps with anything that you need. It’s worth it at such a great deal, plus quite nearby to the fort. Overall good experience

I had stayed there along with my wife on 11 & 12 of Dec. We had booked a suite in the hotel and the moment we entered the room we were like is is a suite. It was a normal size room which was stinking badly. The worst was still to come. We thought of leaving the hotel but as it was too late in the night so that option was not feasible. I took out blankets from the cupboard and they were stinking badly as they were kept there from years. Geyser was not working in the room as well.
The most worst part of this trip to jaisalmer (which was because of this pathetic hotel ) was that i had booked a tent in SAM dunes through this hotel only(Royal Camp with Swimming pool). After a terrible night stay in the hotel room we thought of cancelling our stay in Royal Camp and we opted for ODC( ODC includes camel ride snacks cultural programme and dinner in camp). After our camel ride when we reached the camp we entered one of the tents for freshening up and i thanked my stars that i cancelled staying in this pathetic camp resort. It was torned off from various places and i was wondering how they will assure the privacy of their guests who opted to stay there as it was completely transparent from the places it was torned off. In the evening when cultural programme started a group of 6-7 guys entered the camp and started drinking and creating nuisance. We immediately decided to leave the place. I have even complained about this to Mr Harish but he took it very casually. My Jaisalmer trip was completely spoiled because of this pathetic hotel, camp and their nor professionalism.
I sincerely advise you to stay away from this pathetic and overcharged hotel

on our 38 night trip, this is by far one of the worst places we have stayed. The room size was ok, but don't plan on having a clean room or any kind of service.

The room we had mold on the walls, and boy was it dirty. I do not think they have cleaned the shower area, or the floors in the rooms in Months. Unfortanty we could not change hotels, we even tried to change rooms, but the other room was not any better. I think maybe a few years ago this place was good, but after 2 years of not cleaning and bad managment it has gone to the bottom. When you first approach the hotel from the outside, trash is moving into the lobby area. At least they could clean up the entry way, but again bad managment.

To top things off, do not plan to have water from 3am to 6am it is turned off.
Also, don't plan to sleep in the check out time is 9am.

Lucky we found a different hotel for our other 2 nights in town.

Breakfast was one of the worst we have had, again Management.

We arrived here and it was just perfect. Ok the wifi is slightly slow but you can tell the the owners here are really trying to create a high level of service. The pool may be a bit dusty but its expected in a desert yet its perfectly clean as you can smell the chlorine. I truly recommend this hotel. The better rooms are the ones inside the hotel not the ones by the pool although you have everything you'll need. Then to finish on our last day because we weren't leaving until 5 the owner noticed us waiting by the pool and asked us why we had all our bags with us. When realising we were leaving in 5 hours for the train she organised a room for us to be in until we went to catch our train. Absolutely wonderful. This hotel deserves a much higher rating on trip advisor.

No, i dont remember any lift and there is no private parking but quite some space on the square, no idea if safe or not. It's an old haveli and like almost all of them not fit for disabled.
