We stayed here for a few days whilst visiting Jaisalmer; owner seemed a bit standoffish but when you get speaking you realize he's a really nice guy. the prices are really good the rooms clean, the aircon worked and lavatory/shower were actually clean (unlike many other places and we could get hot water). We had some laundry done that was...

It was an ok experience but not great. We were actually surprised it is recommended by lonely planet. It was completely empty when we arrived and it seemed to have been like that for a few days. The rooms were ok, but not great. The electricity  was continuously on and off which was horrible for the AC -we understand it...

I would like to give a little tribute to this hotel, with whom my mother stayed 30 years ago. I was retracing her steps and the lovely owner and his wife buried around for 1987's guest log and let me search for my mother for about an hour, as well as explaining the extensions they had added which is why...

So our stay at Swastika Guest House was okay, we have one complain bathroom with rooms on the left side has terrible to NO drainage absolutely no flow water will come into the room, maybe because of construction flaw. Apart from that the rooms were clean overall place was clean, but Hotel owner is still grouchy for young people, Curfew...

Really calm and nice gusethouse. Rooms are big with powerful fan, comfortable beds and hot water in bathroom. The staff is a very kind family with a lot of experience, they are reliable and make best chai in town. 5 camels of 5

A friendly welcome from the owner, and clean rooms are the highlight of this hotel. My room was on the top floor, with door that opened out to a small balcony for some fresh air and a garden view. in the foyer was a delightful set of photos of guests who had stayed over the years, dating back to the...

Friendly staff and a clean, cheap room. Private bathroom. Just 5 minutes walking distance from the centre and fort. There is also a possibility for breakfast and the owner has a map of Jaisalmer on which he pointed the highlights of Jaisalmer.

More of a guesthouse/homestay than a hotel, the live in owner was friendly but very uptight (no staying out late, no alcohol or non-veg on the premises, etc). The discounted room rate was cheap (Rs 600 for a double with AC) but this may have been due to the hotel having been empty for 6 days prior to our arrival...

Stayed here for 3 nights, the hotel (more of a guest house) is run by an honest and very unpushy couple, feels very homely, we often sat and drank chia (free) with the couple who run it. Mrs Ballani cooked us a delicious supper for a 120 rupees for the both if us. A characterful, peaceful place. Good location right...

For 600 rupees a night for double AC this was perfect - it was clean, comfortable, and free from bugs. The location was great as well, it was just down a side street off the main chowk so it's quiet but not too out of the way. Great alternative to staying inside the fort (try and avoid, the place is...
