We stayed for two days in February. The rooms are pleasant, clean, and just what you need. Didn't meet the owner, but we were exploring most of the time anyway. A fair walk along the beach from North Cliff, where much more happens. Also was rather noisy in the mornings!

A small collection of chalets on top of the cliff away from the main 'drag', beautiful view from the cliff tops down to the sea/beach. Short walk from the beach (a few minutes from beach and restaurants). The owner Shiv was helpful and sorted us out taxis to get to our next accommodation. Chalets were small but comfortable, outside furniture...

I was at Sea Pearl in the middle of December and really enjoyed my stay there. The owner is a very friendly person who gave me some good advices for the area. If you prefer partymaking you should better go to North Cliff, Sea Pearl is a quiet and secure place where you can relax in the evening/morning sun just...

I stayed here at beginning of December 2012 for 2 nights-Overall I would say it is a quiet and clean place to sleep with a nice grassy area with umbrellas (that you don't need to pay for!) and loungers to relax on. I paid around 1600 rupees per night. Details! Cheap auto-rickshaw (60 rupees) from train station at night will...

I do not think a booking matters much here. When we arrived the guy did not have a reservation book in the office, he claimed he was told we were coming, but he didn't know any of my reservation details, name , time etc. I could be wrong, but they make it look like reservations don't matter. The cost was...

Stayed here a couple of nights during the Independence Day week. The best thing is indeed the view. Went in the monsoon/low season, so much of the main Varakala beach is off limits and Papanasam beach is the only stretch of be beach you can find. The Resort consists of these distinct circular cottages. The large bed takes away most...

We stayed here 2 nights. Emails to/from owner were fast and clear. We swapped from 5 to 2 nights due to plan changes and he adjusted our invoice - down - very fair and decent! Took cheap tuk-tuk from station here 2km or so. Circular rooms are slightly cramped for 2 to navigate but OK. Ceiling fan is great and...

I stayed here with 2 friends in Feb 2010 - we had been roughing it in the desert of northern Qatar so staying in this place was fab! I must say the room was basic but good. Big bed. Large shower room with decent facilities. No air con though which I assume would make life a little intolerable in the...

Varkala Beach is one of the most awesome beaches anywhere in the world, especially between December and May. Warm water, blond sand, palm fringed, red sculptured cliffs and a natural spring gushing out of the cliffs onto the beach for drinking (yes, it's that pure) and showering. I've been there fifteen or so times and my favorite place to stay...

just returned from a short stay at the sea pearls – they had been recommended by a work colleague as a ‘must stay’ so i was looking forward to my stay – i was greeted with the hard sell for trips and massage while still trying to register – the chalets are more ornament than use with limited space for...
