I stayed at mundax for 5 days and really enjoyed my time there. As a host Matthew is considerate, interesting and has a great grasp of maintaing a balance of leaving you to yourself or providing company. The food is very good, prepared with great care and delivered with a big smile by his cook Wadewar (incorrect spelling). The yoga...

Mundax Homestay Retreat Mathew has two rooms in his retreat.  We stayed in the larger of the two, a spacious suite with a firm bed, private sitting area, large bathroom  and shower (complete with shower curtain, a rarity in India) and windows with a view of his organic acreage. Breakfast and suppers were abundant feasts with a wide variety of delicious...

My wife and I spent 16 days touring Kerala and Matthew's Mundax Homestay provided a very relaxing, peaceful and enlightening couple of days and nights stop as we travelled through to Kumily. I had wanted to visit a yoga retreat during our holiday and this more than met my expectations it smashed them. We had solo treatment with a flexible...

I am so grateful that I found Matthew's Homestay on the internet, and because of the wonderful reviews in TripAdvisor; made plans to spend 5 days there. It was absolutely the best time I've spent in India, along with my stay in Munnar. I went to Bombay from Dubai, and was it was a bit of a culture shock; then...

We spent 3nights at the retreat and it wasn't nearly long enough!! My boyfriend and I came as yoga novices and left with a huge understanding and interest for yoga. We had Mundax as a pit stop on our year of traveling and it really was just perfect to unwind and enjoy the beautiful surroundings! The food was beautiful, really...

My boyfriend and I have just spent 4 nights at Mundax & enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing change of scene from our ongoing travels. Mathew was an excellent host and made us feel very at home, which we much appreciated having been away from our own home for 7 months now. The food was delicious; the best we have had...

I stayed in Mundax with my wife and 9 yrs old daughter for couple of days in March’11. I can’t praise Matthew more than others did, but let me try to somehow express our gratitude. Matt’s sincerity and cordiality made us feel like home there. He was preceding our wishes, fed us delicious food, showed us “secret” gems around, let...

My wife and I needed a break from our busy and stressful schedule. We decided to holiday in Kerala in May 2010. After all the sightseeing tours, we decided to unwind in Kuttikanam. Mundax Home Stay was the perfect place. Our host, Matthew, was indeed a wonderful person. He was kind and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for...

My quiet week at Mundax was a reflective retreat from working in Bangalore. Being the only guest, on this uncharacteristically rainy week for the beginning of September, I was treated to personal yoga and meditation instruction from my host Mathew, traditional Kerala cuisine, which was amazing, and long walks along the hills. This is the perfect place to gather thoughts,...
