This was the first stop in our first visit to India- what a way to start! This was a fun, friendly place to stay that immediately made us feel at home in South India. Each day was filled with delicious food given (very!) generously, and with chats about local history and culture. The family house is comfortable to stay in...

We had the privilege to stay at the Bungalow heritage homestay a 1930 mansion made of Rosewood and teakwood and run by Neema, who shared with us her family story, her local tips and her yummy food. The Bungalow is just a short walk from Vypin jetty where a 10 minutes ferry ride takes you to Fort Kochi. We enjoyed...

When we arrived way later at night than expected (flight delay), Neema and her husband were waiting outside for us when we pulled into the driveway- it felt like a royal welcome, and we were immediately comfortable and at home in their home. We stayed in a great room, spacious, wonderful decor, and although we are in the homestay, the...

This was a lovely two day stay in a comfortable and historic home. The location, close to the ferry was convenient for Cochin Fort and the tourist attractions. Comfortable bedrooms were quiet and Neema's breakfast gave us a real taste of Kerala cooking : try an evening meal too!

Spotlessly clean, comfy bed, aircon and wifi. Very friendly, welcoming family and interesting history to the building. Fun being on the other side of the water to fort Cochin as taking the ferry is a bit of entertainment. Overall Great!

How nice to get away from UK commercial Christmas and how lucky to find ourselves here in real India. Our hosts are lovely and couldn't be more helpful and welcoming. The house is beautiful and stands out as a beacon of order and calm and the timber floors of polished rosewood and the quality architecture are quite something. Neema's cooking...

Neema was very helpful in helping us organise our New Year's Eve. Loved the quaint house and peace of Vypeen Island and the ferry ride to Fort Kochi. Food is great. Neema's recommendations for our trip were really helpful.

A great homestay experience. We enjoyed chatting to Neema and meeting her family. Her breakfast is good and filling. Love the scenic ride by ferry to Fort Kochi. Vypeen Island is very peaceful and the ancestral house is lovingly maintained.

If you are coming to Fort Kochi area stop searching and book now. This homestay is in a beautiful historic home that could very well double as a Museum. It has every amenity you could ask for: plenty of AC, a fancy shower, delicious food, great wifi and the most friendly family. The home is in Vypin - just across...
