This is a bungalow as in large house. This fine older house was built in the 1930's and has been in the family since then. The rooms were spacious and well equipped, the hosts charming, helpful and friendly, the food wonderful - you can also get a cooking lesson. The house was under 5 minutes walk from the car and...

We stayed at Neema's house for five nights and had a very warm welcome into her family. It was our first visit to India and was an unbelievable experience. Neema's family gave us a lot of good ideas and helped us with sight seeing and shopping. We even took cooking lesson with Neema and enjoyed the meal we prepared. Thanks...

Our first experience of homestay and what an experience it has been. Wonderful warm welcome into the home of Neema , Prasad and their lovely daughter Olivia. A Heritage home full of beautiful furnishings and interesting artefacts, Prasad is on hand to give you all the information. Neema's food is traditional and delicious, but to add to this you can...

Although our friends had told us of the Bungalow Heritage Homestay nothing could have quite prepared us for the wonderful warm welcome that we received from Neema and her family. From walking through the front gate the place had a lovely feeling. Everywhere is spotless and well kept and nothing is too much trouble. I do recommend to do the...

You know, we couldn't be more welcomed our host family. It was far too short, and we hope that we will return and stay for much longer. Bizarrely I wanted to book a cooking class for us both and we were told by our tour advisers we could arrange it at The Bungalow when we arrived. I had seen on...

After a 12 day tour of Kerala our last two nights were spent in Cotchin with Neema in her beautiful house, The Bungalow Heritage Homestay. We were not disappointed. The house is fantastic, very well appointed and spotlessly clean. Neema and her husband Prasad extremely welcoming and we really felt a part of the extended family. The house itself is...

Dear Future Guests - A warning! You are about to be adopted into this family. Where three generations live together, it is called an extended family, but that is not enough extension for Neema & Prasad & daughter Olivia & Grandparents Johnson & Mariyamma. Within minutes of your arrival, you will be told you are now family and must act...

This was a beautiful introduction to Kerala. Neema is the perfect host, and the food is to die for! Be sure to book for a cookery class while you are here, where Neema shares her secret recipes! We had a wonderful time in this beautiful and historic house which Neema is rightly proud of. It was a tranquil place to...

This was the first stop in our first visit to India- what a way to start! This was a fun, friendly place to stay that immediately made us feel at home in South India. Each day was filled with delicious food given (very!) generously, and with chats about local history and culture. The family house is comfortable to stay in...

We had the privilege to stay at the Bungalow heritage homestay a 1930 mansion made of Rosewood and teakwood and run by Neema, who shared with us her family story, her local tips and her yummy food. The Bungalow is just a short walk from Vypin jetty where a 10 minutes ferry ride takes you to Fort Kochi. We enjoyed...
