This homestay is amazing- the historic building was the place where vasco de gama himself lived and more recently it is famous for being a film set location. The rooms are huge- we stayed in one room with our two kids and still felt really spacious. It is lovely and clean, hot shower and mosquito nets and windows and on...

A great place to "feel" the the old city of Cochin. This charming house is famous for being Vasco de Gama's house. Rooms are simple but very clean and spacious. Beautiful old wooden furnitures make you feel in another time. The owner and his wife are absolutely adorable, you feel like home. The location is perfect, in the center and...

This is for their little cafe downstairs. It is more like a store space with several tables squeezed in. I stopped here twice for breakfast. Limited options, Decent food, homely cooking and price about the same as places around.

Our first 2 days in Kerala were spent at Vasco Homestay. We reached at 11pm, but our host was very accomodating and welcoming. The rooms are spotless and spacious. There is free wifi, which had good connectivity. The complimentary breakfast too was excellent. The rooms have antique pieces of furniture, which are not really seen these days. The homestay is...

We chose Vasco Homestay for its 500 years old history. It was original, atmospheric experience. Really like the Dutch furniture, decor and spacious room. Host Mr George Santosh and family reside on the property, gave excellent insight to Fort Kochi history. Also suggested tour options, such as a temple ceremony with elephants procession. To sum up it was excellent value,...

This is the place I stay whenever I go to Kochi and I go atleast one in a month. A charming heritage building which also happened to be the residence of Vasco da gama himself. The owners of the place are very cordial and helpful. The cafe, attached to the house is very good too. Everything makes you feel very...

The guest house is in a 500 years old bulding, where Vasco da Gama is supposed to have lived. It is in the very centre of Cochin, you can go everywhere by foot. The 2 rooms are both huge, with charming old furnitures and you have 2 big common rooms with w-fi, sofas, armchairs and books. You really feel at...

Apparently Vanco de Gama died in this home stay. "I wonder if he had departed this mortal coil in the very same spot as I lay my head" those were the thoughts running through my mind as I peacefully and comfortable drifted off to sleep in the huge, old room with an attached reading room that I had somehow been...

A small cafe with very helpful and friendly staff set in the very atmospheric Vasco de Gama house. Furnishings very apt. Muesli fruit curd was well overpriced at 150IRS (Only pineapple and banana for the fruit) but the fresh cafetiere of coffee for only 30IRS compensated a little. Great for breakfast though menu prices could do with rethink.
