When we arrived we found the hotel was closed. We had received no prior communication informing us of this, meaning we had to hastily rearrange alternative accommodation at an extra cost. Obviously didn't get to actually experience the hotel itself, but would not recommend based on the fact that they didn't consider it necessary to let us know that we... More

We visited Kochi to kick off our tour of Kerala and booked Napier House for a night's stay. Well surely my wife felt the property a bit gloomy but there is an altogether a different experience of living in an old colonial home. The property is located nearby the beach but is hidden within alleys. We had good breakfast in... More

I visited Kochi for an extended weekend and decided to do a home stay instead of a hotel. After much research, I zeroed in on Napier House since the information about the hotel appeared interesting. I was fascinated about staying in an old Dutch Bungalow and I am happy I didn't regret the decision. The House is located at Napier... More

We stayed twice on our visit to Kerala. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Choice of Indian or Continental breakfast. Plenty of restaurants nearby and all the main Fort Kochi attractions and facilities are in walking distance.

In a quiet road in the heart of fortcochi you will find the napierhouse...a guesthouse with a restaurant! My boyfriend and I stayed at Napier house for three weeks during a trip round India. We found the staff really friendly and accommodating, and they made us feel completely welcome the whole time we were there. We were given an upstairs room with a balcony, the room was clean and well furnished (we did find the odd cockroach in... More

The older reviews are outdated and not an accurate reflection of how great this place is! My two friends and I showed up in the Fort Kochi area in the sweltering afternoon and walked around looking for accommodation. We came across this gem by chance and boy did we hit the jackpot. We had a spacious room on the main... More

We are in Fort Kochi for a week. So far we have been to this restaurant twice and had delicious food both times. The first time we had chicken biriyani prepared in chef Manoj's own style. It was very tasty, but not spicy or hot at all, which was great for my husband who isn't coping with chilli in the... More

We went back to the restaurant twice due to the skills of newly hired (today is his 8th workday at Napier) chef Manoj Shanoi. Today Manoj prepared for our group a delicious traditional Keralan meal in cooking school format. Not only was this one of the best Indian meals I've ever had, but we now have the recipes and understanding... More

“The room situation appears to be an ongoing issue here. On the ground floor, there is a suite and a standard room behind reception as well as the room that the owner sleeps in.On the first floor, there is a Deluxe room with a balcony (this is the large room that people speak of) and a standard room beside the kitchen in the back.
