We literally spent 12 hours at John's and wish we had spent more! One of the cleanest places that we have stayed in a month in India. John is very welcoming, friendly, exceptionally helpful and speaks perfect English. The rooms have everything you need and more, there's a beautiful veranda, great book collection and helpful information about activities. It's a...

Good location for KRSTC buses and ferries to Fort Cochin. Price (550 for a single, private bathroom) felt a little much. As a solo female traveler though I felt very safe in hotel and surrounding areas. No restaurant in hotel and only small, greasy food places nearby. I should have eaten in Fort Cochin before taking the ferry back. John...

A very nice place to stay. Rooms are clean, convenient and not expensive. The guesthouse is well situated and John, the manager, will give you many good advices for your trip in Kerala. Don’t search anymore : go this place !

Very convenient location near the train station in Ernakulum. Clean, spacious rooms which are great value for the price. We only stayed one night and arrived quite late in the evening. John speaks perfect English and was very helpful.

John's residency is at high end for budget travellers but is a good value for what you get. The rooms are pretty basic but decent and clean. It has all the facilities you may need and John is good and helpful owner. He gave me all the directions that I needed in Kochi.

Stayed here multiple nights on several occasions over the space of a month. It was conveniently located for transport for all tourist locations in Kerela, easy access to Fort Kochi on the ferry and handy for us for appointments in Kadavanthra. Each time John was very attentive and accomodated our requests to stay in a particular room (101) as this...

Very convenient location near the train station and market in ernakulum. Clean spacious rooms with good a/c. Great for the price. One downside was the wifi only worked on the balcony. John was very helpful too in arranging transport and recommending a tailor. Breakfast place around the corner was tasty and cheap.

We stayed for 2 nights in a double fan room which was basic and clean. John is friendly but particular, he seems abit arrogant at times. The other boy who works there is very friendly and nice. The room itself had a fan with an old TV and the mattress was fairly thin. Clean sheets and towels were provided and...

The owner/manager (John!?) was very helpful and flexible. The location is pretty good as a staging area to/from the airport, and it is near the ferry. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We were happy to be there.
