Had a short stay at the hotel (less than 24 hours) so my review maybe a little restricted, and based on my limited experiences at the hotel. We arrived well before the specified check in due to an early flight from Delhi and as such when we arrived our room wasn't ready, however we were supplied with complimentary tea and...

We booked this hotel partly because it was listed as one of the only few relais and chateaux hotels in india. I am baffled as to how it ever got in the list of relais hotels. Everything about this hotel was way below standards. In our three weeks of travels we stayed in various luxury hotels in south and this...

We enjoyed our stay and the location is superb. Our room was fantastic, much bigger than I was expecting. If there wasn't a pool that's like a pond and a not that brilliant restaurant that takes over the whole courtyard each evening, then I'd have liked the hotel much much more. Breakfast was nice and all the staff were exceptionally...

I had notified the hotel in advance it was my wife's 60th birthday, and the hotel didn't disappoint. they upgraded us to a suite, very attractively furnished and with great artwork on the walls. the bed had been decorated with petals wishing my wife "happy birthday" , and later with balloons. A very attractive combination of colonial and modern elements....

So we were scheduled to visit Kochi in March and had to make a choice of where to stay. There are some luxurious hotels in Ernakulam, also Taj Malabar in Willingdon Island is a beauty and then there are the smaller boutique hotels of the old Fort Kochi area. After lot of deliberation we froze upon Malabar House, Kochi. A...

Malabar House was just we wanted - a small hotel in a great location. What a lovely place!!! Our room was gorgeous! It was a luxury room in a 17 room hotel. The service was excellent! The included breakfast was great - lovely fruits, pastries and freshly squeezed juices, followed by made to order hot items. The staff was wonderful...

Malabar House is a beautiful old heritage home restored in to a beautiful contemporary hotel that is very centrally located in Fort Kochi. We did not have to take any transport to any of the sights, restaurants, shopping (though the auto-rickshaw drivers kept trying to get us to ride with them!). The service at the the hotel was remarkable -...

Very nice boutique hotel in the colonial area of Cochin. Small swimming pool is in an odd area of the courtyard. Meals were good. Room was very nice. Spent two nights. It was part of a longer trip that included Kerala backwaters and Goa, in the end did not feel that Kochi had that much to offer versus the other...

I thought this would be wonderful but was very disappointed. Our room was good , but when you have to wait most of the day to have it cleaned a disappointment. The service in the restaurant was just this side of awful. Breakfast in the mornings was a joke, one felt that the coffee was rationed and most of the time...
