Very nice location, rooms are clean. near by the major attractions of the city, and still being a quiet area. welcoming staff. Only the restaurant is a bit poor in terms of offer and efficiency. bu the area has many nice local restaurants where you will find good food

A must-do in Kerala! We were recommended to go to Gigi's cooking class through our guesthouse the Mother Tree. They arranged it for us and showed us where to go. My friend and I had a great time with Gigi cooking traditional Keralan food. She lives in a lovely home with a very clean and tidy kitchen. We had been...

Spending a day in Fort Cohin, my girlfriend and I were keen to do a cooking class when we stumbled upon this homestay. For just 500Rs each, Gigi invited us into her kitchen for 2-3 hours and we learnt to cook 5 delicious dishes - coconut rice, dal, potatoes, a veg dish and an aubergine curry (we opted for the...

We were hoping for a cooking class in Kerala and, walking down a street in Ft. Cochin, happened upon Gigi and her Homestay facilities. She was a delight to talk to and a wonderful teacher. For VERY little money she taught us both....just the 2 of us in her little kitchen, with her two daughters doing their homework in the...

Ansal and his family couldn't be better suited hosts for a stay in Fort Kochi. They have non-AC rooms for 300-400 rps, and each is immaculate. The food was excellent, the cooking lessons they offer are superb, and their free travel advice is untainted and only provided upon request. But that doesn't begin describe how Ansal's family will welcome you...

We didn't stay with Ansal and Gigi's, but we did take a Keralan cooking class in their quaint home. Gigi is a very welcoming woman with a good knowledge of cooking and ingredients. The class was very informal, taking place right in her very own modest kitchen, but the experience was truly authentic. My friend and I help to prepare...

We discovered this place when we were looking for a place to eat in Fort Kochi. The food was so delicious and the owners were very friendly people. We really enjoyed the food and the prices were fine, so, we came back to eat several days. We recommend a lot the place. In fact, if you're looking for good Kerala...

We didnt actually stay here, but the food is fantastic so thought we had to write a review!! We found Mary Ann by chance and did a cooking course, it was really great and we learnt some great dishes. We then came back for almost every meal for the rest of the stay! The food is cooked completely from scratch...
