This was our base for a 1 night stay before moving to a house boat. Very friendly and welcoming staff with simple but delicious food are what made this hotel. The hotel is dry, which we didn't know about beforehand, but that was fine. Our room (Mauritius) was ok; it looked out onto the road outside the hotel and had...

Really quaint place, lovely trees all over the property. Small but very clean swimming pool with deck chairs, and with just 12 rooms, you can expect it to be nearly always empty. Great food at breakfast, not buffet but the chef is great, fruit and juice fresh. Room we stayed in was beautifully furnished but felt small for the price....

In a peaceful old colonial house, we had a very good experience. Nice staff, big room and perfect bathroom. The accommodation is perfectly located with good restaurants in the area. The breakfast could be a bit more sophisticated but the service is fine and everyone is ready to help you. A place to recommend!

Our room was nice and private with a little balcony and very comfortable for two people. Really enjoyed our stay there as it was conveniently located and walkable to all the tourist spots and...

The location of the hotel is great. It is tucked back from the road, away from the hustle and bustle. The building and rooms are gorgeous - beautifully restored. The pool was a welcome escape from the heat. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that it took a very long time to get hot water...

I took the opportunity to use the swimming pool which was advertised to use by non residents for 400 inr, which is a little expensive by Indian standards but a day or so previously I looked to see the quality of the pool and was quite happy. I used the pool and afterwards went to pay at the reception and...

The bungalow was built in 1912 and run as a workshop and office of a UK Company called United Carpets engaged in the manufacture and export of coir and spices. Brooke Bond the tea company bought the bungalow in 1956 and christened it Brooke Bond Bungalow which housed the top management of Brooke Bond & Company.
