We stayed in this property as a family in the mud houses. The place is very beautiful, when we entered the place after crossing a beautiful pathway lined with wild flowers, it got me very excited. However, I was a little disappointed as that "homestay" feel was lacking. We mostly prefer to stay at homestays on our holidays as the... More

Such a beautiful welcoming place with wonderful views of the valley and stellar staff that went out of their way to make you feel at home. I loved my room with a view of the Himalayas, the greenness of the valley, the silence and tranquility, the feeling of being in a small village, the sun setting straight into my room,... More

I was taken by my great friend Anastasia to The Mirage for the weekend, I didn't leave for a week. Perhaps it was the extraordinary peace allowing for heavenly siestas. The delicous food eaten with interesting travellers at the large dining table, surrounded by artefacts. The dawn jungle walks with Denis 's fascinating local knowledge and meeting his mates from... A chance discovery led me to The Mirage and it's one of those things that make you believe in miracles. I needed a place to let my hair down, think through things, work on some interests and basically feel nurtured and my stay at The Mirage in Andretta did that and so much more. Denis and Navjot made me feel... More

I had my doubts when booking this place as I had heard several reviews as how in spite of being a comfortable hotel, how the entire experienced is marred by the attitude of the new care taker when the owner isn't around. I still went ahead with the booking as the place really looked beautiful and all other places were... More

We visited the place this June, the place is good but very difficult to find in late hours, there were no sign board or proper gate to the place, even local people do not recognise it. The owner is bit rude type imposing undue restrictions on visitors. Rooms were OK but with smelly bathrooms. Food though freshly cooked but not up... More

This review, and the previous one "not worth the high price" are both by the same people who came together for 1 night. These are the unfortunate types of people one has to occasionally deal with in the hospitality business. They arrive complaining & they never stop. They have inflated opinions of themselves & expect the world to be there... More

Andretta, best known for its pottery, is a nice place to escape to. The Mirage in Andretta, run very hospitably by Denis and Dolly ( we could not meet Dolly as she was away) is a heritage homestay in the village. With a lot of green and rustic feel the mud huts at Mirage welcome you. The rooms are well-appointed... More

We spent 3 nights at the Mirage in Andretta a potters village. If you are looking to do nothing, just laze around, unwind, go for walks and chat with friends and family…this is the perfect place. We were four of us and we got a lovely cottage to ourselves. The rooms were nice and spacious (though there are some rooms... More

The Mirage is one of the most beautiful homestays I've come across in Himachal. Set amidst a potter's village, the Mirage contributes generously to the artistic and cultural quotient of Andretta. My niece and I wanted to escape the Diwali chaos in the city and decided to spend a quiet weekend at the Mirage and we have been raving ever... More

Thoroughly enjoyable (if too short) stay at Mirage (we’ll be back). Nestled within the artistic community of Andretta village, backing onto State Forest with infinite walking opportunities, the Mirage is the perfect place to unwind. Beautifully appointed rooms utilising local building materials accentuated by collectors artefacts. Delicious home-cooked meals and a host with the most! Thank you Denis for all... More

“Many rooms have Queen sized beds. Make sure you check with the host before booking. Only the main house has wifi. The independent cottages and new wing (which is straight out of a fairytale) do not get signal. I would recommend Denis to install a simple range extender so all the rooms have wifi.”
