Taj Falaknuma is in the old city. So most of the other old palaces, Salarjung Museum, and Char Minar are nearby - around 20 - 30 mins, depending on traffic. You have to get off at a certain point and the immediate area around the Char Minar is a 'walking only' area so that makes it easy to move around. Better to visit in the morning time.
