This hotel is a building site, no other way to describe it. It is currently being refurbished thankfully, it is literally a 1960's hotel and rooms show it very clearly, reasonably clean enough but seriously worn, including beds, sheets and towels. Still one of those old hotels with the shower in the bath, cranky sliding glass doors to the balcony...

I spend to night in Le Meridien on a business trip: Beds: ok. Good mattresses but you can feel that the sheets had been washed often. Room: very outdated but relatively clean. Quite large. Very noisy airconditioning. No room-service :-(. Shower/bathroom: not so good. No point to attach the shower head (I stayed in 2 different rooms and both lacked...

Rooms smell oil paint. Headache after one night. Toilet smell in the corridor. Towels removed from the room at 08:00 am, bring back at 05:00 pm !!! Unbelievable. Beds are like a "Hamac". Back pain after one night. Reception has no cash money at 07:00 am for check out (manager told us, "no pb", the day before !!) Internet unserviceable...

Was abit scared from the reviews, but it is not as bad, it is a ok hotel, clean, water in the pool etc. Probably same as 3 stars in Europe, not new but no problems. The hotel could benefit from a renovation. Expensive, but so is everything else as well

Wifi is expensive and slow. The rooms are spacious, yet they can do with an upgrade. The pool looks good. The breakfast is okay. The lobby furniture has dust. Language barrier (French/English) was expected and maybe an additional bilingual person at the front desk can go a long way in minimising any misunderstanding.

Don't even consider staying there. Expensive, lousy, smelly.....old, bathrooms falling apart. Expensive, 0 value for money. Restaurant a disaster, they pay people to destroy food they make. You are lucky if you find just any employee that speaks english

Stay here for business visit few day. Hotel clean and furnished with African style of decorations. Flat screen LCD tv with cables tv. Only not enough power socket for modern live style, laptop and mobile charger need pull out lamp socket to accommodate this is the minus point.

I last stayed in this hotel around 2000 and from what I remember it has not changed at all, it is still below average and as another traveler put it, it does not deserve the Meridien name. Service and food was good but still not worth the $$.
