Stayed here for a night! Checkin was at 1pm - had to wait until 2.30pm. No apology! Got to the room, aircon not working. Had to call reception twice; they couldn’t fix had to move rooms - the room they put me in was dirty, cobwebs everywhere with dust and ants! Utterly disgusting and poor room condition. Staff seem disinterested and don’t want to serve anyone. The girl at the bar constantly on her phone checking Facebook and messenger! Went to use pool, dirty plates and rubbish left lying around the place and not cleared for hours! CLOSE DOWN IF YOU DON’T WANT TO REMAIN OPEN! Update your website with correct photos of how poor your rooms and property are in! A complaint will be lodged with consumer council, health inspectors and hoteliers association about the appalling conditions of your hotel. Shut down or improve!!!!!…
Very rundown and poorly managed, saved only by the staff who were extremely helpful and caring. The steps up to our room were steep, hazardous and very slippery in the rain. Thankfully no accidents. Loved the massage and trip to Beachcomber Island. The pool was clean but no swim up bar. I still had a wonderful time because I was with family and I was back in a country I had lived in back in the 80s. Unfortunately the place has not kept pace with the times and is a WHS timebomb The wedding organised for my son and daughter in law was beautiful, food delicious and the entertainment was a highlight.
Not joking For 170 plus Australian dollars a night You don’t expect to be put into backpacker accommodation this place is the pits rooms around down dirty and grubby no care is taken of the facilities stay well away from here
Overpriced and overrated Nowhere near what they are asking for the night it’s not even worth half of what they are asking for average rooms average service average staff I wouldn’t recommend this to anybody that I know.
This place needs some serious refurb and has potential but the owner has just let it be run in to the ground. More like a backpackers than a resort. We booked a two bedroom apartment (not for cheap) thinking it would be great. From here I think it will be easier to make a list... - Dirty dishes in cupboard - Surfaces not wiped down - Bathroom dirty (just general cleanliness was lacking). - Mouldy bathroom & shower curtains. And I’m not just talking a little bit in the corners the roofs were covered and I’m surprised the curtains hadn’t fallen off the hooks. - Beds had no mattress protectors and sheets weren’t fitted so you’d wake up on the mattress. - Cockroaches in seal of door fridge. - Sugar cane train running through at all hours of the day. - Based on a very steep hill so not a great resort for elderly, disabled or someone with bad knees. - Beach had dirty nappies and rubbish in the water you definitely wouldn’t want to swim there. - RTDs from restaurant were rusty under the lid. - Beach towels not available unless you pay a $20 bond. Not even sure how many they had on site... we asked for 4 they gave us two and said we will bring the other two to your room. They never showed so we ask the next day again “we will bring to your room”. My partner ended up following them around the resort so they gave us two more. - One flannel and one bath mat supplied for two bathrooms and three guests?! - room wasn’t serviced so had wet towels/soaking floor mats. Maid came around at 6pm(!!) asking to service room and by then we were all back having a drink so said don’t bother come back tomorrow morning. By the second night we were at our wits end so went down the road for dinner and realised what a dump we were in. We immediately let the staff know how we were feeling in the morning. “We can upgrade you”. To what? We are in the most expensive room?? We asked for compensation and that was a firm no. There was no apology or empathy, just excuses and pretty much it was our fault for not telling the maid to service our room at 6pm at night! Ended up leaving and rebooking where we went for dinner at First Landing Resort which saved our holiday! If I could say anything nice about this place it’s that the waitresses at the restaurant were lovely and so was the man with curly hair at reception. And it’s made a good story to tell our friends and family when we got home. …
