Went there for a week everything is what you expected but the resort is about $40 from the main town so we end up spending $300 on taxi alone. But if you decide to stay in one place then this is a good resort to go to. Special thanks to Zaniel who is the chef of the resort he makes the best omelettes he also kindly took us to the bus stop as there was no bus on a Saturday in front of the hotel at least not for another two hours. We tried to use the bus as we already spent too much on taxis. The staff in the restaurant were also very helpful and I loved the LOVO they had which is like a BBQ. Josh is also very nice guy who gave some good advise and asked whether I wanted to go to a trip with him but I was too drunk to get up the next morning. Bonus is that they also shouted 4 beers to us on the last night as we already settled our bills and the next morning our flight was 8.30am and had to leave at 6.30am so they say don’t worry about it it’s our compliment. Cheers bro.

We booked a week here for the family and had 2 chalets. One on the beach and another a bit further back. We loved it, pristine beach good snorkelling and fish feeding in the river as we keft breakfast. A large pool but we really didnt use it as the sea was so lovely and safe inside the reef. Full board was more than acceptable with a lovely breakfast and a decent choice for dinner and lunch. Children eat free and get an early tea. Our chalet was 10 steps from the bwach and very spacious with a nice veranda and small hammock. Twin showers and sinks and a large plunge bath open to the sky was a wonderful addition. Can really recommend this place as a family holiday resort and the nightly entertainment was always fun.

My husband and I have stayed at the resort for 7 nights over this Christmas holidays and we had the opportunity to slow down, relax and recharge. The staff members go way beyond their main jobs to make you feel welcome and also to give you a sense that you are part of the Hideway family. The resort is located away from Denarau and the limited transport options to move around the island is a bit of an issue but if you are just looking for a place to connect with your inner self and relax, that will be a good place to go. There is still room for improvement with the food choices, in particular vegan options.

I am giving this place 5 stars for one simple reason: we had hell of a time there! It’s the most memorable place over the past years we visited with amazing resort and wonderful people. We stayed there two times - on the way to Sydney from LA and back, three days each way. It was a perfect break during the long flight. I only now regret we didn’t stay longer. The resort is very peaceful and quiet. The rooms and bures are sparkling clean. The place looks new and underutilized with very few people around which worked great for us. The entire pool and the beach were ours! We swam, went kayaking, and just relaxed on the beach and by the pool. They arrange a shopping tour to Nadi twice a week for a small fee, and the airport transportation is free. The best part of the resort was it’s people. They did everything possible to make us feel welcomed: Finau at the front desk, Wati in the bar/kitchen, Joe and Josh with activities, and all other people. Yes, the resort isn’t perfect, and they still have to work on a few issues, such as Internet connection (drops often), too loud music sometime by the pool, TV programming (small TV and only one English speaking channel), food prices, quality and timing (perhaps one of the most important issues), room cleaning (which is mostly on demand). But, honestly, even those things cannot overweight all the pleasures the resort brings to you. Highly recommend, especially if you are on the way to Australia from US and need a stop over! Not sure when, but we will be back.
