We were so well looked after by the staff, Sarita made beautiful food and juices and made sure we were ready to face the working day. The rooms and views are amazing and our driver Michael made sure we got to where we needed to go. I would reccomend Naveria Heights as a relaxing retreat after a long day at work.

For those interested, here's a rundown of our Detox Naveria Heights Lodge. (Pretty long post - so hang in there). Over the last few years, I have become a big fan of cleanses. In today's world, we have so much going on. We have a kids, work, relationships, finance pressures plus pollution from living in cities, a food system that is quite processed, a few too many wines, after those weeks ! I think at some point, I worked out that I wanted to shape up for my retirement and my pending (hoping for) grandchildren, so I have prioritised detoxes. I typically do them at the end of the season...in particular a longer one toward end of Autumn and another longer one, end of Winter and beginning of Spring. I do this, as I have become a little Ayurvedic groupie. In Ayurveda, it is believed, like nature, our bodies sort of recalibrate (like animals and plants do) and the season change is a weak point, when the body is internally changing somewhat to adapt to the new season. So, to bring in Spring(albeit in October), I signed up for a Fijian Detox...7 days, hosted by the fabulous Sharon Wild. The program for the first 3 days, was a bit of a flush...so shots of juices to cleanse and nourish, followed by amazing juices(freshly picked fruit and plant medicines). The first few days are also rest days, as the body is getting a little clean, it needs extra rest. The daily massages and gentle walks in the beautiful Savusavu, support the detoxification process. After the 3 days, food is slowly introduced, fresh fruit, fresh salads, nuts and my new fav coconut and dates. After Day 4, I felt good, so I was able to start exercising(moderately) and Sharon offers daily adventures....beautiful, fun and active tours. My experience, was smooth, as this is my 3rd cleanse and after the first, I eliminated red meat, became a mostly vegetarian (I love lentils) and dropped coffee as I had the energy without it. I also dropped 7 kgs, around 18 months (I call it my inflammation belly) and don't drink near as much alcohol. I think having energy, less moodiness and overall being calmer, has helped my whole life....feedback from the family, is I am a very different(good different) mum. So...if you're curious, pls reach out to me or if you are thinking about a detox for your body, mind and soul, the Fijian paradise at Savusavu, is top notch....I wish I was still there :(

This is one of the loveliest places I’ve ever stayed. I’d flown overnight from Los Angeles to Nadi, then Savusavu arriving, tired and hungry, at about 9.  Fearful that I was going to wait all day for a 4 pm check in, I wondered how I was going to spend the next seven hours. This turned out to be ridiculous. Michael met me at the airport, and drove me to Naveira where I was welcomed by the formidable and amazing Sharon. Sarita and Jasmine produced a breakfast of fresh fruit, fresh juice, homemade muesli and homemade bread which was divine. A previous reviewer said the mattress on their bed was uncomfortable. Another said the place is plagued with mosquitoes. I have no idea what they are talking about – the mattress was incredibly comfortable and there were no more mosquitoes than you’d expect on the edge of a tropical rain forest; judicious and timely application of repellent is all that’s required. And it only takes 8 minutes rather than 15 to walk up the hill if you put your mind to it.. The weather was awful, but that didn’t matter. Naveira is a place you can just be at – the accommodation, the food and, above all, the people who work there make it somewhere really special.

The perfect stay in the most beautiful setting. From the moment I arrived at the lodge it was like a dream. The design of the lodge was gorgeous and the staff and facilities were unmatched for Fiji. Stunning views from the rooms with the shower/drinking water being 100% rain water which was pretty special. The dining area and the food itself was also incredible, with Sharon the owner being a nutritionist! Not only that she was also a fabulous person. The tours arranged by the lodge were so much fun and the reliable, wonderful driver/tour guide Michael made it very entertaining. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone. It was by far my favourite place to stay in Fiji. Its home like charm and aesthetics made it 5* for me.

We read the reviews about Navaria Heights and there is a lot of truth in all of them. Yes it is up a steep climb. Yes there are a lot of mosquitos Yes the bed wasn’t the most comfortable. But…it’s how you look at it that makes the difference. We embraced the climb and it is do-able. We enjoyed that it was making us fit. We wore bug spray. No big deal. We have to do that where we live in summer also. We still managed to sleep even though the bed wasn’t great. We didn’t go to Fiji to sleep, we went to explore and scuba dive and snorkel. Other positives - The views were amazing! The staff were beautiful, friendly, accommodating, attentive and welcoming. The dinner, which you can ask for, was plentiful and delicious and they accommodated dietary needs. If you love animals, Zues the dog, is friendly and you can take him for a walk around the mountain top. He knows the way! The place does need a bit of love but it is what you make it. The rooms would benefit from some local Information in them and also what dinners were available. We enjoyed our stay and had a positive experience there.

Thank you so much for hosting us! This is such a stunning property which feels more like a home stay than a hotel. Everyone that works here is so warm and welcoming and you really feel a sense of calm as soon as you arrive at the property. The views are stunning, there is Panasonic view of the water and town below. There is a swimming pool too which is a great spot to relax and read a book, or just take in the breathtaking views. There is a large communal living area near the kitchen but also loads of places to chill out on the balcony. Our room was very clean and spacious - we loved every little personalised item and detail - you can tell the owner has gone the extra mile to create a sense of home. The bed was super comfy, I think we slept 10 hours straight and do not feel at all guilt about it. The staff are beautiful - we were offered a beautiful home cooked meal on arrival and we were provided with a delicious bowl of fruit, home made bread and coffee for breakfast! They really make you feel like home here! Michael is super friendly and will be able to provide any day tours to visit the nearby waterfalls, hot springs etc the town is also a short drive away so he is more than happy to offer a ride into town. Top bloke! The property is secluded but I think that is what makes this experience so unique. If you are looking for somewhere to relax, switch off and take in the beautiful surrounding views and nature then this is for you. You can of course take advantage of the rides into town. Or if you are an active person then a walk into town would not be too bad. Forever grateful to Sharon and the team for being able to experience this beautiful property! Recommend for anyone visiting Savusavu!

We absolutely loved our two night stay in Savusavu. We also think that it is almost impossible to beat their included breakfast on the terrace. Sharon and her staff were lovely and treated us so nicely. We can warmly recommend to stay here for a couple of nights. It‘s very wonderful.

Wow and more wow! We absolutely loved our stay at Naveria Heights! Sharon and her entire staff are simply lovely. The actual views blow the incredible photos away, it's literally one of the most spectacular locations we have ever experienced in our decades of travel. All that said, this is the perfect spot for many (like us!), but not everyone. Things to know: this is a home stay. If you find that personable and authentic, you are in for a treat. If you prefer hotels or a resort, this is not that. We loved the remoteness, and the 15 minute steep walk up the 4x4 road was a great way to work off dinner and earn the view! If steep walks are not your thing or physically inaccessible to you, this may be a barrier. Sharon hosts wonderful outdoor activities and loves Pickleball ... if you are looking for an authentic Fijian stay and planning to get outdoors and chase after a little adventure, this is an ideal and rare find!

Thank you for sharing your positive experiences staying with Naveria Heights! We love that you had a lovely time here! Also I am so happy you enjoyed our famous hill! Dinner up at the Lodge is always fun and the flavor's unique. Its important for us to share all "delishishness" with our guests and to sample different types of curries. Sarita's vegetarian curries are definitely outstanding! Look forward to playing pickleball again!! Vinaka Vaka Levu!!!!!
