Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Exceptional! Great staff, delicious food, the owners are so welcoming, the view is serene. The only down side is getting there. Also use repelant if you have thin blood unless you want to be mozzie meal. Highly recommend you fly rather than go by boat.

Daku is where you will meet many of those amazing people who understand what it means to seek and discover. Travellers who somehow instinctively know that there is more to travel than simply lazing about the pool drinking overpriced pin-a coladas at an overpriced luxury holiday resort. Daku is where real travellers gather to share their tales of discovery. And JJ, Delia and the Daku team have got it down to a fine art to ensure that their guests come first and they will go the extra mile to keep their guests happy. Daku is a happy place. Daku delivers! Thanks for a great stay. I will be back!

I really enjoyed my stay at Daku, the resort is located on the ocean front and the facilities were good for a short stay. The staff were lovely and were always ready to assist with any enquiry with enthusiasm and a smile. It is located close to town and walking distance to the chocolate factory with snorkeling across the road. Very quiet and a good chance to experience Fiji without a crowd.

Daku Resort is a breath of fresh air amongst the bland, cookie-cutter resorts that we all assume to represent Fiji accurately. It is fantastic to experience real people, real customs and dare I say, the real Fiji. The accomodation is simple but comfortable. The staff are generous, friendly and very helpful. The views are glorious and the fruit is fresh. I was leading a painting retreat and myself and my students all had a very productive week and experienced village life and a waterfall visit that will remain in the memory banks forever. Highly recommended.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience teaching watercolour retreat at the Daku Resort. Lovely scenery and setting, the staff are friendly, helpful and the hosts Delia and JJ are fabulous. The local town is only a walking distance, accommodation clean and great. I highly recommend this resort to anyone. Chan Dissanayake

Daku Resort is a beautiful space with kind, warm, welcoming and immensely and generous stuff. The surrounding nature is so lush with direct access to the sea and its crystal blue waters. Feeling very lucky and grateful for my time here.

Just returned home after 7 wonderful days at Daku resort during a watercolour painting course with Rob Candy it was very relaxing I had plenty of time to have a massage and go sightseeing swimming. I would recommend visiting Savusavu.

If you want to experience the 'real Fiji' Daku Resort is a must. I stayed in a well appointed bure with an ocean view. My package included meals which were excellent being both hearty and delicious. However it is the Fijian staff which is what it is about for me with their welcoming smiles and their dedication to making my stay enjoyable and memorable. I swam in the reef in front of the resort, visited a village and enjoyed the coolness of a nearby waterfall. So much to do in such a short time but then again I hope to return again. Thank you all at Daku !

I attended one of the wonderful week-long art retreats and have had a truly special time. I arrived a few days before the course started and was made welcome, and joined in with some of the activities of the previous course. I am so glad that I also decided to stay a few days later so that I can continue to explore the area. The beds are comfortable, the food lovely, and the hosts and staff are the friendliest that you will find. This is the real Fiji, not the hustle and bustle of Nadi or Suva. I will be back.

I have just spent 6 amazing nights facilitating a Yoga Retreat in this hidden Paradise. The staff were incredible. Joe and the Team looked after us like the Prime Minister and believe it or not he was staying at Daku for a night while we were there. We were so grateful we got to meet him and share some of his time and get a pic to tell the story. Thank you to everyone, you were amazing. The food was great, the Yoga Shala has the best views in the world and the people are the warmest and friendliest too. Daku Resort you are 10 out of 10 in my eyes and the Yogis loved every minute here too. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will be back. Love Susan
