I am a lucky guy. My work takes me to Fiji every now and then. I have tried a few places to stay at over the last years but boy, isn't this one special!

What Joe and Julie have created here with their blood, sweat and tears ... and their genuine passion is mind blowing.

So what exactly does a traveller get here?
The hosts - they will pamper you and entertain you and make sure you have the most blissful experience just the way you want it.
The facilities - the split level reception/dining/entertainment area is very stylish, open plan and airy place with wide vistas over the palm trees, rolling hills and ocean. Take your time to take it all in and chill...
The bures - that's Fijian speak for a hut, and let's face it, if you made it to Fiji you want to experience something like this. Very simple affair, surrounded by trees and flowers.
The food - don't bother reading the menu, you're home with Joe and Julie, they and their staff will cook an amazing dish for you using the freshest local veggies, fruit, meat and sea-food.
The activities - there is a beach nearby and you get there by a kayak, swim in the pool (and I mean swim, this one is decent size), owners will arrange sailing, diving, nature walks, road trip to Savusavu, market in Labasa, whatever you like. I recommend however you grab your favourite drink and take your time to contemplate the sunrise, the sunset and any time in between as a matter of fact. Spectacular.

The cons? I think after you've stayed with Joe and Julie for a while getting back to the big, bad world takes some adjustment.

This year was my second stay. Can't wait to visit my friends again.

Thank you Julie & Kate for looking after us, weary cruisers, at your very secluded piece of paradise. For any other cruisers reading this, the anchorage has super holding, the jetty is a great and safe dinghy dock and you are sheltered from anything on the land by massive mangroves and other huge trees, meaning it’s very private. Without realising we ended up staying here a week, but you made it so easy for us, even taking us into Lambasa for diesel and grocery shopping (twice) and then dropping us and the heavy bags off at the jetty so we only had to drop them in the dinghy and unload them on the boat, pure luxury! We also enjoyed a great meal in the restaurant and had very refreshing swims in the salt water pool. It felt like our home away from home.

We arrived late and left early but every moment was wonderful. The five of us sank into chairs on the deck for sunset drinks, segued to the harvest table (including goat curry) for dinner, then wandered off to sleep in perfect peace and moonlight. Julie and her staff made us feel so welcome. The location is beautiful and the Bures simple an comfortable. I loved the lipstick palms by the lap pool and the elegant inverted actual clam shell lights. We will return and will stay longer next time.

Stayed here again and relaxed, swam and ate wonderfully. So beautiful and peaceful and a great chance to see this part of Fiji away from the crowds. Easy trip to visit Savusavu or anywhere on the island. Thanks Julie and Joe

We wonderful stay at Palm Lea Farms. Julie, Liti, Kate and the rest of the team were wonderful hosts and made us feel really at home. Palm Lea Farms has only three guest accommodations, so the atmosphere is very personal. We had the pool for ourselves all the time. The food is simply delicious with a lot of fresh produce from the own garden. The team arranged a really special excursion to Savusavu for us as well as a boat trip to the nearby beach. If you’re looking for something secluded, for something personal and for a Fijian experience, go to Palm Lea Farms!
