More than Wonderful!

Our primary reason for going was the diving. We were not disappointed. The Rainbow Reef is beautiful, with many different areas and variations on the coral and fish. The dive staff was super helpful from the Captain, to the dive guides, to the boat hands and the dock/shop folks. Everyone was fun and friendly while being very professional. Loved it! We were not thinking about food when we chose the location, but wow we were so impressed with the menus. Delicious from breakfast, lunch and dinner. The method they use of asking you to select your lunch/dinner at breakfast makes life really enjoyable. Our rooms were lovely and comfortable. Being "spoiled" travelers we enjoyed the air con, the lovely showers and the comfortable bed. We also enjoyed our tours of the Taveuni and Kioa islands. This resort really makes and effort to allow the guest to feel that they are in Fiji. We were able to participate in activities that brought us closer to their culture. We loved every part of it.…

Does what it says on the tin: paradise is simply paradise

Paradise Taveuni is quite simply exceptional; I cannot rate it highly enough, nor recommend it more. I had a week whilst travelling where I was by myself and I fancied doing some diving in Fiji. I chose Paradise after reading the TripAdvisor reviews and was sold. The experience has been above and beyond what I expected. The diving was amazing. The crew were great: very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I've never dived without my own buddy and I felt very safe and comfortable. The dive sites are exquisite. I rented gear and it was all fab. If you love diving, this is a really special place to stay and dive. The resort was so lovely: the rooms are really comfortable and I slept very well. The air con and shower(s) are both good (my tests of places!). The bed was very comfy too. I had an outside shower which was so cool. The grounds are stunning. The activities available outside diving are also great- I went kayaking, snorkelling on the home reef and I did the excursion up to Devous peak. The home reef is really good for shore dives and snorkelling (I've never been anywhere that has a home reef and it is brilliant). Also, travelling without anyone else (as a first) the team were super friendly and the other divers really good fun. I especially enjoyed the group tables available at dinner. The food is great, especially breakfast. The home grown pineapple was the best I have ever had! Finally, the team that work at Paradise are amazing. They work so hard and are always happy to help. Everyone is so friendly and kind, and they really make the trip to Paradise great. Every tiny detail at Paradise has been thought about and considered. There is a friendly buzz, but it is also very peaceful. Honestly, just book it- you won't regret it, it is such a special place to stay. …

Beautiful Resort with world class diving and service

The resort is beautiful. The dive team is experienced and over the top helpful. The rooms are excellent. The people and service are the best. All employees know all the guests by name and offer fantastic service with a smile every day all day.

Paradise is not strong enough of a descriptive word

This was a most amazing resort! I have never felt so welcome and special before. The location is gorgeous and you are right on the Rainbow Reed. The staff is EXCEPTIONAL! They are warm, engaging, and always there to take care of you. Dive crew was the same. Loved our oceanfront bite, outdoor shower, infinity pool, and garden setting. Food was delicious and always had several options to choose from. Allan and Terri have truly found an exceptional recipe for a one in a lifetime experience! Cannot wait to return!

Best Dive Resort in Fiji

Awesome resort. If you are a SCUBA diver and want to dive the South Pacific on pristine reefs with tons of fish, then this is the place for you. The room, burre, was great with patio and outdoor shower. The grounds are small but oceanfront and gorgeous. The employees really believe in service, attending to all your needs and enjoy getting to know you. There are 2 dive boats and a legit dive shop on the premises. Best of all the diving is truly unique with beautiful hard corals, soft corals, and loads of fish. I also had a problem with my itinerary that was creating a problem in not completing part of my trip that included a shark dive. Miscommunication between my booking agent and the shark dive operator. The Paradise Taveuni hotel owner, Terri Gortan, stepped in and bailed me out by changing my stay and flights and hotel on the other island so I could make it. Going beyond expectations is what they live here. …

Memories made

My daughter is a keen scuba diver and, in searching for dive opportunities in Fiji, came across Paradise. We were 3 generations travelling, with my daughter, granddaughter and me. Flight in a small plane is needed to get to Taveuni and it offers fabulous views and insight out the window as to what awaits. At Paradise we stayed in a Family Bure which had 2 rooms and an inside bathroom as well as an outdoor shower. The rooms were air conditioned and had louvred windows with insect netting. There was a bar fridge with a kettle and cups and glasses available. And I won’t forget the home made cookies provided daily which were yum! Talking about food, the restaurant is run differently to anywhere I have been before, which I think was really well done. Each morning at breakfast you are given the menus for lunch and dinner to pre-order. The menu had an excellent range on offer, even for my fussy family, and we were never disappointed. Each day was themed. We often found ourselves sharing a table with others for meals, and met people from all over the world. I think this way of running the restaurant would also save on a lot of wastage but any leftovers were used to feed the animals at the resorts farm over the road. The diving lived up to expectations and my daughter dived often, with the boat leaving early morning and returning by lunchtime. Snorkelling was really good right out the front as well. If you’re looking for a sandy beach holiday this isn’t the place for you as there isn’t one at Paradise. But there were a lot of activities and tours to do. Including visiting the local village which we loved. The pool is right on the edge of the cliff overlooking the sea and was well used by us. It really felt much friendlier than any resort I’d ever stayed at before. We were sad to leave and I’d love to go back one day.…

Fantastic snorkeling right in front of the resort

Friendly, welcoming staff, lovely modern rooms with great outdoor showers, beautiful garden and best of all, great snorkeling right in front of the resort. Paradise is famous for diving and this did not disappoint. Highly recommend. Sad to leave after a week, but feel relaxed, with an appreciation of the genuine Fijian warmth and hospitality.

Amazing location for Diving, Excellent and Friendly local staff, restaurant and amenities. Highly recommended.

We stayed at Paradise Resort as sailors and divers on our private yacht for 5 nights. The owners and all staff were very welcoming to us. We enjoyed all restaurant meals, went on different dives for 3-4 days, had massages onsite and participated in local social events with the resort guests. This is an absolutely wonderful resort - really could not have asked for anything else in our short visit to Taveuni. Thank you Allan, Terry and your entire staff !!

Marvelous resort with Amazing Dives

I stayed 4 nights at Paradise with a friend. My main focus was scuba diving which was superb. Shout out to all the dive staff and boat captain. You all run a great outfit! Thrilled that the excellence continued with the room (stayed in two bedroom bure), meals (excellent and healthy!), activities (cultural and interesting) and customer service (the best of any hotel I've stayed) . The staff really makes effort to call you by your name and everyone was so warm, always with smiles. Thank you, Terri, for the quick replies prior to arriving and for your warm hospitality. I truly felt like I was visiting family.

Lovely time, spectacular diving, fantastic staff, just one uncomfortable problem

I'm having concerns bout having been exposed to water provided in glass refilled bottles in our rooms and on refillable water bottles the dive boats - I've been experiencing digestive issues since arrival for our dive trip which have varied from day to day but persist still after returning to the US. I know several others in our large dive group also experienced the same. I think it would be a good idea to stock anti-diarrheal treatments for guests, as we had brought insufficient Imodium to treat ourselves for the duration.
