GOLDEN BEACH Resort - Hurghada is located in a quiet location northwest of Hurghada directly on a wide and beautiful beach (bathing shoes recommended). El Gouna is approx 10Km away, and the center of Hurghada is approx. 15Km. To the International airport it is 20 m. GOLDEN BEACH Resort - Hurghada is consists of a main building and several adjoining buildings, lay in a lush palm tree garden with many exotic trees. A great choice for a beach vacation - specially for families (shallow water).Divers appreciate the diving center and Kite Surfers the Kite Station which are located in the hotel premises. The popular hotel complex features an attractive pool area with a 200 meter long ʺlazy riverʺ, one of the largest amphitheaters in the red sea and many sport facilities. The resort offers different types of comfortable accommodation (in total 435 spacious rooms) such as family rooms, double rooms with and without sea view as well as superior rooms. Hotel's Favourite
We had an amazing week at golden beach resort! We was a family group who enjoyed everyday at the beach with the animation team. There is a lot of difference activities everyday. Stretching, volleyball, aqua gym etc. in the evening you can enjoy a show in the theater or fire show by the pool or at the beach. Thank you Chico for making our trip even better. And thanks to all the bar men for always making our drinks extra special.

The complex was very well maintained, as was the pool area, and the staff in all areas were super friendly. As well as the rooms they are super clean. And the best thing about the holiday is the entertainment is never boring. Taisha and macaroni give 100% every day, as do the others. I've come here for the 8th time and so far this is the best entertainment. ;)

The outside area is very nice like the Pool and so much Green Feld. The Restaurant is very big and the ear is very good. The most i like in this hotel is the Animation taisha and Mustafa is very nice i like at the Animation bring all the people to smile. I come back next year:)

I want share our amazing experience in resort . We are coming to the resort many times over the year , and in the fact we like this hotel so much, it’s like our second home. Animation team are very friendly, Taisha,Maccroni, Ada, Nastya,Mahitab and Sameh, they make us all the time laughing and smiling, they are really doing a great job, my daughter loves everyone of them H We really had a great time. On top of that they have daily raving a special show done by the team , yesterday wad “ Fire Show 🔥’’ with Mr snoop and Mr helicopter , a lot of adventures, entertainment. We will absolutely come again and again 😍

Lovely hotel overlooking the Red Sea, with pristine swimming pools stretching across the resort all the way to the the private beach. The best thing we found about the Golden Beach Hotel was their exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. During our stay we were truly looked after by: Hazem and Walid at the reception who promptly resolved any little issues we had; Ali Amer, the lifeguard who was very vigilant and even rescued a family member as being a non-swimmer, they panicked in the pool; the chef Zakariya who went out of his way to prepare us an Egyptian desert Um Ali, that we had been wanting to try since we arrived in Egypt- it was heavenly delicious. Mr Mansoor, the general manager is an asset to your business as he knew how to deal with the guests in the most efficient and considerate manner.
We had a family room, which was sufficient for 2 adults and 2 children. The rooms had all the amenities and we were informed that they were being upgraded in this season. Our one complaint would be the lack of WiFi in the rooms.
The grounds and landscaping are well maintained with plenty of seating for couples and families. Many shops and restaurants are dotted around the length of the resort with a couple being open for 24 hours. You can even book breakfast/other meals on the beach and/or one of the other restaurants. The main restaurant that serves the largest variety of food does not require any prior booking.
The resort is well resourced for children’s activities, including water park, game room, giant chess, active pool, cinema and a theatre with scheduled shows and activities. The staff and facilities in the spa and hammam are nice. We were little disappointed to find out a child of 12 is classified as an adult for booking and payment purpose.
Overall an amazing hotel and we will be revisiting whenever travelling to Hurghada.…

The hotel itself is beautiful, the grounds and greenery are maintained by really friendly staff. The rooms were a bit disappointing. We booked 2 rooms, upon arrival keycards to one room didn’t work and in the room that did work the phone line to reception did not work. We managed to get the card reactive for the room in question- however this happened 3 times throughout our stay which became tedious. The reception staff we found to be unhelpful but all of the other members of staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help us which we were very grateful. We had a slight problem with our neighbouring room - this included smoking within their room which came through the ventilation air con system to our adjoining room. On the first night it happened we were mildly annoyed and informed reception - but this happened 3 nights in a row and although the staff were sympathetic about the awful smell within our room they did not over this 3 day period do more than ask the guests in the room next door to stop what they were doing - I was particularly unwell with the fumes on the 3rd evening it happened and although again the staff were very sympathetic it really was a case of ‘we have told them to stop’ - which in my opinion was just a bit too late. The staff at the beach are lovely and friendly, the beach was lovely and so were the pools which you had multiple options of either wanting a quiet swim or to join in with animation. Rooms - again- they are okay and kept clean very well by the lovely maintenance team but a few things for example grubby unsealed toilet seals let the hotel down a little bit. In addition upon arrival we paid for Wifi in our rooms and it only worked for about 3 mins at a time - we didn’t complain about this because the reception desk seemed to be busy all the time - put it this way I wouldn’t pay for wifi again you can get it free with better quality in reception. Overall - it was an okay trip and the staff in the bars and restaurants were exceptional but the hotel ‘stay’ overall was a bit disorganised and relied heavily on people not complaining. …

Tap water stations in the hotel have made 7 out of 8 people sick , so the hotel needs to work on water quality and water station sanitation. Hotel doesn’t provide enough bottled water . When we stopped drinking water that hotel provides all symptoms disappeared . Additionally we had problems with cards that unlock the hotel door , we told on reception about this problem , they said they’ll sort it out , but even after multiple reminders no one sorted it out .

Dear Annas, Thank you that you was our guest. Our water station is tested daily and proved by laboratory test. So your problems can't come from our water, stomach problems etc are coming from to much sun, when guest don't drink enough water or drink too cold drinks too fast. If guest talk to us we will never refuse to send more bottled water to the room. We are sorry for the case with your key card reader, the most problem is if the cards are stored at the mobile, but we will investigate what happen in your case. We hope to welcome you again. SITE It’s a vast site, four separate pools plus an aqua park. Beautiful beach, about a 10 min walk from the main building, is very shallow and clean. Main buffet restaurant plus 3 A la carte restaurants and a fast-food place serving pizza. There’s a night club and a kids club. There are shops on site selling snacks, sweets and drinks, be prepared to haggle if captured in the souvenir shops. Smoking not allowed indoors. The grounds are immaculate, many plants and trees are labelled. WIFI is €9/$9 per week. Buy scratch card at reception with username and password when you arrive. Doesn't work at the beach but OK near main building. You have to sign in every time it drops out so don't lose the card. ROOM Our room was economy, 3rd floor above the reception overlooking the main road and desert beyond but is quiet. Very basic, needs updating but clean. The beds are like concrete slabs, very uncomfortable. We had to ask for extra pillows. Air con was noisy but very much appreciated. There's a mini fridge in the room and they leave 2 bottles of water each day. POOLS There are 4 pools plus an aqua park. Sunbeds around the pools were reserved by 8am. We were never up early enough to bagsie one so we went to the beach every day. You are allocated a towel card for the pools and beach. There's a juice bar selling juice cocktails and ice creams by relax pools 1/2 BEACH We sat on the left side of the beach, the quiet side. The sunbeds are heavy wooden, with a vinyl cushion. Some in poor condition but obvious signs if being updated/ replaced. Fixed shades and windbreak/privacy screen. There was an offshore breeze, it was nice to watch the kite surfers. There is a bar service on the beach until lunch time when they get busy. We had lunch at Mint Fish restaurant on the beach. Rice, meat, salad, bread, burgers, chips, spaghetti bol, buffet style. A bit bland and often found to be on the cold side. Take sea shoes if you want to snorkel as the beach is very shallow. You have to walk a long way out for any depth and it gets quite rocky. It's very clean. There are attendants in the grounds, toilets and the beach staff and bar staff are meticulous. FOOD Main buffet restaurant to the left of main entrance serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is as you'd expect, tea, coffee, juice (€2 for freshly squeezed), bread and cakes, cereals, a popular egg bar where chef makes omelettes, scrambled and fried eggs as you like them. Be prepared to queue in busy times. Could do with more fresh fruit as I only found chopped melon. Grease - fast food. If you miss breakfast in the main buffet, they serve breakfast 10am - 12.30pm then 12.30pm - late serving American style fast food. If you arrive late as we did, go here instead of the buffet. Three "a la carte" restaurants available to book. Italian, Asian and Fish. Book via touch screen to the right of the entrance to the buffet. Alladin- Asian - not very Asian by British (or Asian) standards. Salad and soup first. Mince served in pitta style bread - dry, served with rice or chips and vegetables. Dessert - coconutty bread pudding. Very sweet. Don Vito - Italian. More authentic menu. Salad, pasta, pizza, pud. However, the only meal that upset my stomach. Bad indigestion. Mint Fish - fish restaurant on the beach. Serves lunch in the day. Dinner was OK. Fish, beef and chicken options. Salad, soup and dessert. Revised, overrated! I had the grilled fish. Came in a soggy breaded batter and was tepid. Hubby had a fish medley, again average, undressed crab, boney fish, octopus rings. 2nd visit we both had chicken and chips. Basically, a warm chicken Kiev from Iceland and chips. So much potential, very disappointing. SERVICE Very friendly staff. They work long days always with a smile. We tipped in $1 bills for good service, a nice smile and an effort made. They don't like coins i.e. € difficult to change up. Entertainment - no comment, too tired so went to bed. Apparently it was very good. CONCLUSION It was nice for a week but we won't rush back. …
