Very nice staff, the room was basic but fine for staying just to see the temples. The location is excellent for access to Abu Simbel and ideal if you want to see the sound and light and beat the crowds the next day. Air conditioning inefficient in room - we were lucky that temperature had dropped to 20.

My father and I recently spent one night the hotel. It was very quiet as tourism is sadly very low in Egypt. But the staff made our stay very good - they were very helpful with our visit to the Temple and arranged very nice meals for us. There was nothing fancy about the hotel, but met our needs very...

This hotel looks like it was designed to cater for a much more vibrant tourist trade than current. Today it is basic and functional. It's big selling point is that it is a very short and easy stroll to the magnificent temples. Looking directly over beautiful Lake Nasser is an aging and once stylish swimming pool that was in good...

The boom years of tourism have passed, but the Nefertari soldiers on, adapting to Chinese tour groups and making a big fuss of individual travellers like us. On arrival we were promptly upgraded to a suite overlooking a swimming pool with what must be one of the best views in the world. The room was more than adequate, clean if...

I recently spent one night at the Nefertari Hotel. I was quite surprised at how close it is to the Temples of Ramses & Nefertari. I was amazed by the view of Lake Nasser, with Sudan just across the water. Great location! The people there are very friendly and welcoming as well. There were very few tourists at the hotel...

We stayed here as part of a small tour group. There were not very many other people here--which was a shame. The hotel is doing their best to keep in business given the low tourist trade. We found our room spotlessly clean, and the service good. The location is great as you can easily walk to the Abu Simbel Ramses...

With few visitors staying in the very small town of Abu Simbel, the staff at this sprawling hotel are to be commended for resolutely maintaining its services. The complex, offering a quiet stay, lies on an excellent site by the side of Lake Nasser, a 5 minute walk to the adjacent Temples, a 10 minute stroll into town and a...

The hotel is located near Abu Simble Temple facing the Nile ( Nasir Lake). The hotel was empty and didn't use anything except the pool where the Hotel Admin. was very scared about using the pool. We felt something wrong in the pool after their worries. There was no restaurant available we had to go to the small local market....
