The location of this hotel is perfect - close by a beach that rarely gets crowded - close to the end of town, so streets become quiet at night. The pool is large enough with good surrounded seatings. Regular breakfast included. Only negative point is that not all rooms live up to the same standard - some are very nice,... More

Talked to the front desk person, seemed like she'd rather be on her phone texting someone than speaking with us. We left!!! The place looked nice but we will not be going back to find out... Located near the more family orientated beach of chipeepee

During a 3 day tour we were booked in to the Hotel Amira for our evening stays. As several others have described.... the hotel is clean, grounds are lovely and the rooms are a good size. We were also there during the shoulder season in September so the hotel was not very booked which suited us just fine. Breakfasts were... More

I spent 3 nights at Amira and had a wonderful large room with 2 baclonies. Very clean and comfortable. Perfect location as well. Quick walk to central beach area. The management was very helpful and courteous. John Apalachicola

We stayed here as part of a tour group in November 2013. Staying during the shoulder season meant the hotel was not crowded and service was prompt and courteous. Our morning breakfasts were included in our tour and featured a variety of fruit, breads, eggs, coffee, juice, etc. The staff helped us with some non-dairy choices and were very accommodating.... I do not think the hotel is well located. It is a 20 minute walk to the Sanias Malecon. There is no place to eat near at hand. It is two blocks from the beach and noisy as all heck. I checked the rates at an hotel right in the heart of the action and they were the same -... More

This small hotel is vey pleasant. Beautiful grounds with abundant flowers; very nice pool area, and although the breakfast features instant coffee and juice, it was plentiful and filling. The rooms are very basic ( only one straight backed chair, for instance), no cups or glasses provided, but clean and the bed was comfortable. It is well located a short... More

This a lovely place located away from the noise of the Malecon which is still within easy walking distance and the restaurants. The hotel is fronted on both sides by two busy one-way streets which can be a little noisy but if the air-conditioning is working, that knocks the noise right down. The wi-fi only works in the lobby and... More

We were surprised as how few hotel options there are in this town, and the few there were weren't too appealing. We settled on Hotel Amira even though it is located a ways south of the main section of the malecon, and there were no restuarants close by. The hotel grounds were surrounded by a high wall that included a... More

“Second floor rooms are better. The hotel is far enough from the beach itself and from the center of town (easy walking distance). Upstairs room were quieter it seemed and our friend in the downstairs room had parrots outside their window which was nice , but a bit noisy.”

“We think the "Best Room" was our room because it was convenient to all services AND had a private terrace with a hammock under a Guava tree. Early in the morning you may hear the Parrots in the tree eating the fruit. Just a lovely place to hang out and relax. Room 101”
