We were disappointed and left after two days when we were planning on four. The grounds looked neglected and few staff were around the property. It's as if Alandaluz is trying to only "get by" with their former reputation and now invests bare minimum into the property. We were told not to swim in the beach due to undertoe. The...

Stayed at Alandaluz for 4 days 3 nights the first week of July 2008. The hotel is situated on the main road connecting all the small fishing villages along the west coast, about 60 miles from Manta. Took a local bus to the property, the ride was 3.5 hours with 3 major stops in small cities. The property is actually...

My husband and I stayed for five wonderful nights at Alandaluz while we were on our honeymoon and I would HIGHLY recommend it for those looking for a peaceful, beautiful spot to relax. The cabins are amazing--all built out of bamboo, and ours was up rather high--I felt as though we were living in the Swiss Family Robinson movie! We...

We stayed at this hosteria for two nights in May of 2007 and had a wonderful experience. We were in an individual brightly colored hut. The grounds are lovely, the pool sparkling, the beach clean, the restaurant food delicious and the price was definitely right. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. I would highly recommend Hosteria Alandaluz and would...

We arrived in Alandaluz with a the --- in a group of 10 people. Otto y Byron Delgado were extremelly helpful in making our trip extremelly pleasant and the connection with Isla de la Plata. I trully appreciate the time Byron Delgado dedicated to show me the permacultural practices that Alandaluz keeps in place and confirm that this is not...

“THE CABINS! Close proximity to the pool, restaurant, and beach but in it's own quiet little section formally owned by Alandaluz. They have been screened, curtains and glass block in bathrooms, most have new showers and bathroom fixtures. BUT sleeps 4 MAX!”
