Where do I start? The Hotel Solymar is the perfect place to stay to enjoy everything the Galapagos has to offer. We made this hotel our homebase for two trips to the Galapagos and could not be happier with the experience. The location of the Hotel Solymar is ideal for experiencing Porta Ayura as well a diverse offering of land...

This was our second time returning to the Hotel Solymar and somehow it was even better than the last. The unparalleled locations gives the Galapagos Islands experience every waking minute, the staff are all extremely helpful and really know how to maximize your time with experiences. Everything exceeded my expectation at this hotel. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Their demeanor was also very genuine. The facility and rooms were kept very clean. The location was very good right in the center of everything in town with amazing views of the water. High marks for breakfast, which had some variety and was delicious. Breakfast wasn't...

Great location in Puerto Ayora! On the water, sea lions in the pool (and on your chaise lounge if you are not quick) Great food! Great staff! Make sure you get a room with balcony overlooking the bay and Santa Cruz island. Start here for your Galapagos experience!

Bilingual staff was very friendly. Hotel was clean, modern, nicely decorated. Waterfront view is really beautiful - conveniently located right next to the outdoor fish market and the main port in town. Big breakfast included with the room is a big plus. Note: hotel doesn't have an elevator (to my knowledge) so you'll have to carry your luggage up the...

Although we only stayed one night at this hotel, it truly is lovely. A very warm welcome on arrival from the lady owner could not have made us feel more at home. Upon opening up the curtains in our room we were greeted by an ocean view and pelicans on the roof in front of us. We would happily stayed...

Centrally located. Good AC. Clean. Nice showers. I have 150 more characters to go, so will say that breakfast was so-so, and prices and booking were an issue. Also asked them to book a Bay tour in advance, but they forgot and tours were fully booked when we arrived.
